Bama, single dog dare is always better than no dog dare in my book!
Dogged, a steam generator is a rather fancy iron - as AI says, "A steam generator iron is a high-performance ironing system consisting of a lightweight iron connected to a separate, large water tank base. It uses a built-in boiler to produce high-pressure, continuous steam, offering up to 2x more steam than standard irons to remove stubborn creases faster. Ideal for heavy laundry loads, these units offer faster, more efficient, and often vertical ironing." Since I iron most of our clothing (and I actually do enjoy ironing, especially in the colder months, since that's me time for listening to audio books), I like to use the efficient tools! And since we have nasty hard water, they generally don't last more than a couple years (also, the last one died because I dropped it one too many times, but let's not talk about that)
helia, now I kinda crave kielbasa and cabbage - good thing I am going shopping tomorrow :-)

TaDas
- gather recyclings in car
- test new steam generator - can I throw out packaging?
- pick up DS from scout session and drop off recyclings on the way home
- dinner
- laundry flipped to dryer

ToDos
- midday routine
- afternoon routine
- evening routine

trissie's the Queen of castle. I think that makes me the dirty rascal ;) It will only motivate me to do more cleaning!

That's good, helia. :)

Up to three already, Bama. You have found your mojo!

That's quite the fancy gadget, trissie. And I do love gadgets!

I know that I have been working hard, but I don't seem to have added anything to my list of Ta Das. One of life's mysteries...

Wednesday
Breakfast for dog
Spiffed self
Quick wipe of bathtub
Washed floors: bathroom, entrance, kitchen
Treats for dog
Scrubbed out sink and basin
Bagged bathroom garbage and cut new liner from old toilet paper wrapper
Treats for dog. Between us, we managed to spread pork broth and fish around the kitchen floor.
Washed some dishes
Wiped down accessible surfaces
Quick wipe of kitchen floor.
Tossed the pad
Washed the soaking dishes
Dumped the water
Cleaned up after dog
Hammered the frozen spinach to break some off: made a hole in the middle of the bag
Taped up the bag
Cooked a snack of rice and frozen vegetables

Bama, I'm excited for your cruise!
I've had a conversation with my brother and with the bank, as a conference call. I hope we have everything in order finally.
Mixed "dilly bread" for church soup supper tonight. It is so yummy, I love it, and it's easy to make. An herbed yeast bread with dill seed, dried onion, parsley, and cottage cheese. And I am fasting today (until church supper) since it's Lent, so no tastes.
After it comes out of the oven, I will go for a walk - it has warmed up some, snow is gone - and go to grocery store as i'm almost out of flour, and I have more baking to do in the next several days.

I’ve been plugging away. Can’t tell much by looking in my house but it’s solid progress.
Heading outside to walk, play ball, get some fresh air, all that cool stuff.

I'm in the same boat, Bama. I know that I have been plugging away, but looking around the apartment, I can't point to a particular accomplishment. We will just have to take comfort in the knowledge that it would be worse if we hadn't made the effort.
I am not normally much bothered by flies on the fourth floor, but I have an outbreak of tiny little gnats, I think, and I am eyeballing the houseplants with suspicion. Just way until Victoria Day; you lot can go out to the balcony and take your flies with you!

WTG on another successful day, L.Ann.

Germane is doing pretty well, kitkat. She ate dog food earlier. Now she doesn't want dog food, but keeps mugging for better treats, so I'll take that as a good enough sign.

WTG on getting things with the bank and your db sorted, Gma.

I am trying an experiment. I kept the lasagna pan with the fat and drippings from the pork roast in the fridge. Now I've added too many vegetables to roast in the pan, covered it and put it in the oven. I'll stir them from time to time to try to get them all coated as they cook. I expect them to be softer than roasted vegetables

Wednesday

Hammered the frozen spinach to break some off: made a hole in the middle of the bag
Taped up the bag
Tried to FACE: can’t log into my account again
Called bank: after multiple attempts they got me into my account. Their old system worked fine, I don’t know why they changed it to one that requires a phone call and six attempts before we can access our own accounts.
FACE: paid bills
Updated budget sheet for February and March
Did some fact-checking with ChatGPT
Cut up lots of potatoes, carrots and onions and put them in the oven

The veggies sound delicious either way, Dogged, roasted or soft. Maybe if you have leftovers you could roast them without as much broth tomorrow?
It’s too bad flies don’t migrate north lol. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone though.

I’ve been outside, walked thumper on the leash, he’s doing better (today anyway tomorrow who knows) as I left them in the dog yard while I went to get them water, he got out but sat on the front porch and came to the side door when I called him, then he walked freely back to the dog yard where we let Beau out. Now we are all on the porch cooling off. I weeded about 5 minutes, long enough to get 4 thorns from briars in my thumb before I quit. Will have to use gloves when I weed in earnest. Changed out some lightbulbs on the string lights. Pulled a questionable stalk out of our old compost to ask dh what it was, the smell let us know it’s garlic, so I need to make a mental note to pull it when it’s ready. I think it’s when the leaves start going brown. Will have to check.
Going to update list, heat up supper, do my bedtime routine, and get think that might be it for the day. Unless I do some pw.
