Think about what I'm going to grow in *that* patch, which is sloping and shaded now the climbing hydrangea is gone. Montbretia at the back are fine, with supports so they don't flop everywhere, and I can keep an eye on them to make sure they dont spread into everything. There is a hardy geranium that's looking sad, but it might do better with less competition and more light? Maybe I could just sow some low growing hardy annuals and see what happens?
Buy some more pansies?
April (depending on weather!.buy geraniums (work out how many Ill need in advance!

trissie July gets hot... but the weather has been erratic - like everywhere...
We have another Special Weather Statement - this time, pertaining to winds. Tomorrow will be crazy windy, but will get up to 13 C. The day after, we go for -5 C
Kittykatt I'm preparing with you. I have my (new) list in my spiral notebook.
LAnn I'm excited for your trip! Wonderful.
helia you are doing wonderful with your jogs!
Gma - I promise to stop complaining about our (little) snow after reading about your 8 inches!
FFly I hope you get some positive changes.
I saw Bama and Dogged earlier - waving Hi:)
Hope I did not miss anyone:)

So...
My back has been bothering me all day, along with my hip flexors... I used the heating pad on and off...
Not much got done but:
I took pup for Store walks (2), then got our groceries... Made us lunch. Watched the game (Toronto won). :D
Ordered some stuff online, signed up for a workshop with my DLittles:) We took care of Dson's little dog. Wrote my list for next week,
Played 'Find It' with ddog. She looks sufficiently tired.

I'm off for bath in hope that it will help...

lol! We were delighted at 8 inches, as the weather people said we might get 12-24! One area about 80 miles east and a little south did get 20 inches! I'm glad I didn't have to remove that. And I'm happy that I live below the hill, and the wind is less on my street. The street up the hill by mother's house is very much blown in even after the plows have been by. Also near my dson's house, one street is nearly impassable. The prairie winds are closing some roads, ans the plows can't keep up with the wind and the snow.
Tenant at mother's house called as she was getting home from work at 11pm. The outside storm door was frozen shut! I made it possible to get in through another entry, got the hair dryer, and aimed it at the door latch. Bingo! thawed out and opened easily. This has never happened in all the years I have been familiar with the house. (That would be since 1953 when my parents had it built.) Now I am back home, and trying again to finish emptying my dw and load it so my kitchen looks presentable after baking 2 batches of banana bread today, and making a roast beef yesterday
