WTG LAnn - I just started my first wash in a... week Bama - water, perfume, cologne ... they all work...
So:
I have a machine. They refused to install. Ridiculous argument. I called my appliance guy. He came in an hour. All done. No arguments. I am in no position to argue: I need to get piles of laundry done.
Thanks for the company - I will see you all tomorrow; in the laundry room
At church we will have a discussion on HOPE for the next few weeks in our adult education class, using Jane Goodall's book by that same name.
Since we are encouraged to read it ahead of coming to class, I will share a SHEM from the book:
"Hope is misunderstood. People tend to think that it si simply passive wishful thinking. This is indeed the opposite of real hop, which requires action and engagement. I hope (!) people realize that their actions, however small they may seem, will truly make a difference." __Jane Goodall__
Thanks, Bama. Whew on getting a pass on having to make the Dreaded Phone Call. WTG on going through that box.
Thanks, helia. They gave themselves a window of nine to five, but with any luck they won't have the power off the whole time.
My dinner is a lot like yours. I pilfered some of Germane's vegetables to add to my rice and frozen veg, LOL.
She's eating well now. I keep adding some rice to the broth and giving her some meat and veg from the slow cooker. So far, she is actually eating them and not spreading them around the floor.
Sorry about the Angry Little Dog spooking your dog on the walk, kitkat. Germane used to be like that. I couldn't tolerate it because I live in a high density area, and can't allow her to become an nuisance to the neighbours. I ended up doing the opposite of popular wisdom. I pick her up, turn my body so that it is between her and the other dog, and cover her eyes so that they can't get into that staring contest of intimidation. And it turns out, she calms down. She now trusts me to keep her away from other dogs, so she doesn't work herself up to a rage at the sight of them. It might not be what we are "supposed" to do with little dogs, but it means that the big dog owners can walk their dogs in peace, and that my own dog feels safe.
LOL@ the doggie catering service. Guilty as charged!
WTG on all that you got done, L.Ann.
I don't know, kitkat. I don't want buckets of cologne thrown on me either. Oh, wait, I am not young and fertile. Safe!
