The Google logo is cute today!

That is a great quote you opened with today Twins'.

Harmony, you are probably well on your way or arrived already. Hope the trip is easy and no problems.

We did have a nice "early Thanksgiving" on Monday Harriet. Ddil#2 did a 16 lb. turkey. We made all the sides and two pies for dessert -- pumpkin and lemon chiffon. They left all the leftovers for us except to make up a plate for ddil's dbro who is staying with them for a while. I boiled the bones to make broth for soup. I froze that and most of the other food for later.

We are going to dfam#1 tomorrow, dinner will be around 3 pm. They are doing the whole meal, but I wanted to take something so dh made a pumpkin pie and we'll take a half gallon of vanilla ice cream.

OKay, all your meals always sound so good! You sure did a lot of cooking today! I used to cut our boys' hair until they were in high school. Then they all wanted to grow it long. When ds#3 graduated h.s. it was halfway down his back; he did get it cut that next week for his wedding! I can't imagine you not being able to do dgs's hair the way he wanted it!

It sure is nice to see you posting again, Indiana! You were missed! I'm glad you are getting better!

Sounds like everyone here in the Village was busy getting a lot done.

We've been watching a lot of the holiday movies on the Hallmark Channel. I wish there were more family stories like this all year around on the other channels, too.

Hello to everyone. I wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving, and safe travels to those who are celebrating away from home!

Harriet, I'm sure you accomplished many more things than were on your list! :) And thanks for mentioning the parades tomorrow morning. I hadn't given them a thought!

I got 1.5 zone chores done (the other .5 is that the item is still in the dryer.) Plus I started the dishwasher and a second load of laundry. Also found a photo for our newsletter. Dd sent one (plus a number of corrections) and I have one of ds if he doesn't send one. We needed to delete a couple of lines here or there from the text in order to make room for the photos (since I won't allow the pitch of the font to be reduced further!) I'm good at rewriting things more succinctly when I need to.

Dh is in bed because he doesn't feel well and I'll follow in a few minutes. He's getting a cold. I hope to avoid coming down with it until after Sunday night. My temp was down again this morning so I am hoping I'm on the mend but I can't imagine not getting sick since people are sick all around me.

Hello ~
Deleted several paragraphs because I'm so tired that I'm rambling. Just wanted to say hi and hope everyone has a happy and safe Thanksgiving holiday.

It is very nice to have Indiana back home.

We'll be traveling to both families tomorrow, the weather forecast is clear and warm so travel should be nice.

Oh there's the dryer buzzing away, need to hang up those clothes and start another load.

Then must make fudge! Easiest ever recipe, which luckily I've made so many times I can do it on autopilot. I'm almost asleep on my feet.

Well I was right about the table situation upstairs did not work so we went to the basement
and spent two hours figuring out how to put 'em & doing musical furniture but now it's set up
with chairs all but one. One more table cloth needs to go on. I've wiped down surfaces and rolled up the area rug we put it in the other room. Rolled out one of the the looms, and put the other one next to the wall. Moved the spare table up against the wall for food. Buffet is ready for plates etc.

Eating utensils need to go down and the plates too I'll do up a tray. Sort of exciting as we've not done this before. H. was figuring out how to get it with three tables but I just remembered how we did it on the lawn and taa daa! It works inside too! You've got to love simplicity!

It will be a pain going up and down the stairs but we wanted to protect the new carpeting.
Such a relief to have it this far along. Kitchen mess can be out of sight too! Keeping fingers crossed that this works out well.

Tomorrow I have to get the stuff out of the freezer in the morning and do the stuffing.
Time to get out the cans of things I'll need so don't forget olives for the relish plate, cranberry sauce, or some other item.
