Very happy for Dee and family and welcome to dear little grandbaby! So glad he arrived healthy.

I'm still up. Kids are still up too. They have such an awful time settling themselves at night. It's exhausting to me.

Lucylee, your dinner sounded delicious and I liked the smells and colors you listed.

Glad to be through the day. It seems I must clean and pick up non-stop to keep on top of things. LOL got folded and put in their drawers. DGS13 saw it and thanked me. Surprising, nice. We were going to go out and do something fun this afternoon but DH said he needed some office work done and then he went to take a nap and the afternoon got away from us. These kids get so bored. They just aren't the type to get interested in some project quietly and be content. They like to be doing and going and interacting with us all the time. I really love them, but they sure can zap one's strength.

My committee meeting with tonight and I left them for a couple hours with DH. We'd had dinner and they were playing cards as I left. I did manage to get the floor swept when I returned and the place doesn't look too bad, but it sure was a struggle to get it this way.

We're home. Brought other 2dgks home with us -they're staying with DS-R and with DD.

Baby is beautiful -of course, but boy did he seem heavy. Not supposed to be able to say that about a newborn are we? His clothes are not going to fit! DDIL & DS-A were quite nervous about the state of his health and her having a 5th c-section. Know how relieved they are to see how healthy and robust he is. They compared his footprints with that of Zoe (he has a tatoo on his forearm of Zoe's footprint). His is almost twice hers

Thanks for all your prayers for a healthy baby. As it turned out it was ddil's last day of work and she was so busy she had no time to eat late. Just as well so they could perform the c-section soon after she arrived. This was her last day of work until Nov. I'm sure they would have been awake all night anyway concerned about the outcome tomorrow. Surprise! He did pick his own birthdate, Harriet. He almost made the 11th though. Sure wouldn't have wanted him any bigger. :P
