Congrats to Helia's DD on getting her drivers license. That will make a big difference in all your driving around, although you may be sharing a car?

Glad Lucylee is having a good evening with Dgs. Glad he likes the swing - my DS20 loved his and it put him to sleep every time.

Waving hi to everyone. Ready to start my evening routine and put the trash out for pick up tomorrow.

It is going to be a rough few days ahead. The General Council voted in as our moderator a man who is openly gay. The political board where I hang out the most was already hauling our church up on charges of antisemitism because there is a motion that calls for, in part, the boycotting of goods made in the Israeli Settlements. I'm not happy with the motion either but the wording is still be modified and I saw some pretty substantial changes being discussed (voting on those changes doesn't happen until tomorrow.)

Some of the comments are really vile. Wait until they read about the new moderator. Partners for 30 years with his spouse. Both ordained ministers in the United Church. This guy is a good preacher and has a thriving church in Vancouver.

Cowinkie, so glad you had a good experience for the most part and a good attitude toward those trying to help! ......shes supposed to still be 7... ...

helia, Hurray for dd's happy results! I'm sure she's delighted and feels there's a weight off her shoulders as she gets ready for the school year.

Kathryn, if I were you (and I am not) I would probably be taking a break from that political board for a while. Flurries of posts and turning vile... ... you know, if you have to wince a lot it can bring that headache back. :?

sherinjoy, sorry about the frustration today!!!

Good news on the appliance front, Elizabeth.

As usual I am here much too late. I'm not as sleepy early now that I'm sleeping in and napping a bit. I'm just "off" in a lot of areas lately.

Handled one more desk chore. Stacked up the dishwasher and got it running. Geeze it's so hard not being able to get one's hands in water. And rubber gloves are so inconvenient. Awkward. So, I'm not doing much water work these days.

House is going downhill. I am just doing the very minimums to keep things going. I don't think DH notices the differences but I sure do. He brought home a rotiserie chicken and coleslaw. Both good, I ate more than I have in a few days. I've not been on the scale recently, but if the number isn't down I'll be very disappointed.

OKay was very happy to read of successful first day. All the credit goes to you for prepping him so nicely with time in the library, and other socializing events. You are an extraordinary Mother.

Harriet, that was my take exactly on the steroid vit D thing, which I talked about in our health thread.

Kathryn, very odd (to me) news about your church. Stuff I don't understand. Didn't understand when the episcopal church did similar. I guess I'm not very liberal-minded about such things.

Going off to bed now.
