Yes, this is the same VDFriend from a couple weeks ago. Their DD got her act together enough to keep her children that time......but then returned to the drugs (meth) which forced DHS to take the little ones to keep them safe. This afternoon I contacted VDFriend other children and respectfully ask for them to step up to the plate and help their parents. VDFriend had told me she hadn't been able to reach her sons, but the oldest son immediately responded to my plea for help and told me he has talked on the phone with his mother at least 2 times a day since this whole thing started. I don't think VDFriend is lying......I strongly suspect her doctor is correct and she is having strokes.....which is affecting her memory. I don't see these grandchildren being with them on a long term basis. Sad....sad....incredibly sad. If we weren't in the middle of LO legal stuff, I would be tempted to open our home to the 3 DChildren.

Reminding myself to give thanks and focus on what I can do to help others and not try to solve all the problems of the world.

Sweet Dreams

Hi everyone. A late check in from Elizabeth-land. I made it to church today with my contribution to the potluck and ate there. Then I had to look for an outfit to interview in, found one, cost a lot though. Then I went to a yarn shop and crocheted. I have discovered I did the sleeves all wrong and don't know how to salvage it. I may put it to the side for a while. I reserved the Happy Hooker book at the library. Not what you think! It has crochet patterns in it. I want to do the sweater called cupcake. I was going to balance my checkbook, but found I printed the wrong month's statement. Bleah. My parents are in Isaac's path, but they are not worried. I fixed fried rice for my dinner and for lunch tomorrow and cleaned the kitchen. I think I will try to get the proper statement and try again on the balancing act. If not, then I will either read or start a crocheted doll outfit. Dolls do not complain if their clothes do not fit perfectly!

Elizabeth, good luck with the interview.

Okay, your state may be in a drought but your vdfriend seems to be in the midst of when it rains, it pours situation. I will keep them in my prayers.

Wow... I am sooo far behind today, and I can't respond to everyone, but I have been trying to cuop and I am thinking of all of you... so many who need get well wishes... and others with non-physical needs... you are ALL in my thoughts & prayers tonight.

I've been really busy w/school stuff this evening, and then got sidetracked and got waaay behind with that.

* sheesh *

But it's all good. I'll be fine. Hope y'all get a good night's sleep and that tomorrow begins a fresh start w/better health and good things all around.
