Hum....looking through LO weekly folder sent home from school.


He is learning Wee Will Winkle this week. I don't remember that nursery rhyme, so I looked it up. This seems long for preschooler memorize in 4 days......hum.... maybe there is an abbreviated version.

Wee Willie Winkie runs through the town,
Up stairs and down stairs in his night-gown,
Tapping at the window, crying at the lock,
Are the children in their bed, for it's past ten o'clock?
Hey, Willie Winkie, are you coming in?
The cat is singing purring sounds to the sleeping hen,

Weary is the mother who has a dusty child,

DGS6 - 10
DGD1 - 10 her first day to attend "school". She attends twice a week for 5 hours each time. DDIL agonized over sending her. Considered using a Nanny service when she needed to go to appts, but decided DGD1 would enjoy this more since their are other children her age to interact with.

Tonight's phone call lasted 2 minutes 17 seconds before LO set the phone down and walked off. Most of that 2 minutes was me walking the phone to LO (he was playing on the other side of the yard).

OKay I only know the first lines, ending at ten o'clock. Perhaps that's all they are to learn since I've never heard the other lines.

Done the kitchen clean up.

I'm on movie 3 right now because #2 has already been seen previously. That's okay, though, because I have a chore that needs a movie on in the background but that only works with previously viewed movies.

Now to finish movie 3 so that dh won't worry about me not keeping up with the rentals. Tomorrow night's movie is Joyful Noise and I'm looking forward to that. I'll put it on when dh is home so he can hear the music in the background while he works.

I've had quite a day, too...
School is just TOO hectic. I CANNOT get everything done in the day that needs to be done, and my afternoons are all tied up with something that keeps me from just staying late and getting everything organized.
For instance, today immediately after school, we had an hour-long department meeting which accomplished exactly NOTHING.
Then I came home (remember, I'm only 5 minutes away from school, literally) and got clothes to go to cleaners & ironing lady...
Made that stop, plus
bank
CVS
other drug store
& McDonalds...
Then delivered supper & misc from CVS to dmil...
Got home -- dh had returned from golf... ds & ddil had already left dgs with us...
Supper for all (bottle for dgs)
Called ddad in the hospital -- yes, still there -- has an infection now and fever went up to 102 last night. * sigh *
(Tomorrow, will have to make the hour-long drive (one way) to see about him again and maybe deliver some misc items to dmom.)
Walked around the yard with a very fretful dgs, who finally fell asleep on my shoulder & is now sleeping in his carrier-seat.
AND NOW...
I really need to keep up the exercise AND I really need to grade papers.
And I'm exhausted just typing all this.
My goodness.
My day... hmmm... let's give it a 4, before I got home to dgs...
Now... definitely a 9 or a 10!

Harriet is exactly right -- when church starts something like that, they inevitably are going to make mistakes. Bless their hearts is right...

Also smiling at Harriet's dd w/the guitar... and the bandaids... yes... very common problem, I believe.

That Wee Willie Winkle DOES look awfully long for a 4-year-old, OKay... my goodness...

Done the movie and dh is on his way home.

Headache again. This one came on during the movie. I had a snack pack of chips ahoy cookies when it hit. While reclining, drinking water and watching the rest of the movie. I'm wondering if it has something to do with preservatives in food. Goldfish crackers seem fine. Maybe I'm reaching at straws.

Well I can't remember anything else, even though I read through. Not a very good day again.

I woke up with shakey sick feeling, and spent a good bit of time in the bathroom today. I wish I knew what was wrong with me.

Tonight was our committee meeting at church (monthly) and I was afraid of going in case I'd get sick again, but I skipped dinner and went to the meeting anyway. Did make it through ok. Stopped for milk on the way home. After puttering around a little today, not doing a whole lot, 1 LOL, 1 sinkful of dishes, you'd have thought I ran a marathon. Slept for a couple hours after getting back this evening. Sigh....

Did finally get ahold of doctor, and got a spot in a cancellation, so that I'll go a month sooner than originally scheduled. I just can't wait that long. So, tomorrow I'll drive up to next county and get my records and take to new doctor's office.. then I might make appointment with regular family doctor. But I must get this appointment out of the way first. Oh, and my hand rash appears to be trying to come back.

I have phone calls to make I've been avoiding, and other things on my mind. Well tomorrow is soon enough to think about all that.
