Slumber Sunday

S'mores were great, although the DS's bought extra jumbo sized marshmallows that were almost too big. Between dinner and the huge Marshmallows, 1 S'more was enough for everybody.

Need to fold the last lol and then head to bed.

You schould have see n us today with flash ligths in the dark kitchen
with eggs trying to learn how to candle them we were like a couple of kids! LOL!

We went to the farm today h. got a surprise as did his bro. when we showed up and his brother was staying up there for a while taking down the old farm house. They had a good visit. Walked at the farm for my exercise today.

We got one door almost done on the hen pen today.
Start painting tomorrow got the paint this weekend at least to start so
don't see me having much time for p/c stuff after it warms up.
Granny duty in the afternoon tomorrow as well.

Sat. my bday dinner went well but they did not sing the bday song sigh
oh well at least every one was able to make it!

Still not cuop.

Spent the evening wiping dh's old phone and installing apps for me on it. Am almost done but still have to move over photos and figure out eReader type stuff. None of the flight tracking apps were to my liking (they wanted access to all my phone records!) so I didn't install one of those yet. Some of the games also wanted access to phone records - like that is going to happen!

There's a problem with my music. It is almost all WMAs and the phone won't play that. I'm either going to have to convert my music or give up on having music on it. I'll probably convert my exercise playlists and leave the rest unless I can find a bulk convertor program.

I'm so glad my DH doesn't go out hunting. When I was with him up in the Poconos, everybody drove a truck with a rifle rack filled with rifles across the back windows. It's yee-haw country up there.

I am done for the day. I can't believe I did this well today. Yesterday (Sat.) I got a lot of extra rest, spent many hours just stretched out reading a book. Maybe that's why I had this much energy today. Or maybe I'm just getting better.

Looking around at all the newly clean spaces was uplifting. It really helped.

I wheeled the garbage can out to the curb. DH said he'd do it as it was very heavy, but he forgot. I also lugged the recycle bin out.

I gave him a haircut and cleaned up from that. Then I did some more work on my quilt, more work than I've done on that project in weeks. Makes me happy. Crossing my fingers for a good day tomorrow. For all of us.

Lynlee, I enjoyed reading your chicken stories. I have never seen black chickens or roosters. Did you grow up on a farm?

I was for a long time on chicken/ chook duties on the farm I grew up on. letting them out, feeding, collecting eggs. I forget whether it was always my job to count them in as the door was shut. As a very littlen - when times were tough I'd go spend time with the chooks. I always wondered how they knew the difference between a shower and rain. They'd run under cover from a shower, but stay out in lengthy sessions of rain. The black roosters were big like white leghorn only glossy black. They really were aggressive so maybe not good farm yard stock. I think to my mother as well as me, Just did a search and came up with this - for those interested in breeding blue or black and white chickens...

My concentration is really off atm, seeing referances in responses I miss in reading prior posts.
Monday is a bit of a right off. A little rain. Dinner is cooming now i/l of lunch then need walk dog - in the dark. and cold. Going to check dinner now.
