((OKay)) Perhaps you did not say your last name distinctly enough for this good friend of your dh's. Or perhaps he's one of those fellows who doesn't believe women really own things.
Emptynester, you're quite right that lists of groceries or other inanimate objects are perfectly healthy for me! It's those chores, responsibilities, to-dos, etc that need to be approached with a safety-first attitude! HRH did not bring home cat food in the thousands, scattered, but did bring a lot. He also found a case of Ensure, which is very helpful to have on hand for my ddad.
Finally received a call-back from my cousin and ended up chatting much longer than I intended, but that's okay.
Two loads of laundry are finished to put-away. Much work in dd's room. General cleaning throughout.
helia, is your attic tall enough that you will actually be able to walk upright? Even if not, this is a smart thing for your dh to do, to make access easier.
Lunch was deli chicken H. got it at the store I was glad he had a plan!
We have the chicken wire up on most of the chicken run but the front top still needs to have the wire on it so we are not done yet.
I had granny duty this afternoon also. H. had to run to the home center for staples lost some time b/c that.
I had wheat hearts [hot cereal] for dinner yumo it's my cereal day!
We are bushed!
Thanks for the defination of the english version of that word yesterday!
OKay - I love showing people how big of fools they are while being sweet and polite the whole time.
MT - I'm glad ya'll made it safe and sound to NM
Kathryn - Do you just rinse your hair with it or do you put it on and allow it to soak for a bit? I hate to admit this sinse you all know I'm a Nurse but I'm also a smoker which of course adds to the yuck in my hair. Great job at the Auction, please take care of yourself. I had to laugh at the Klingon reference.
I napped til 8pm when I was awoken by the sound of fireworks... not sure what the event was but they went on for a good 10 minutes.
Received a text from my boss thanking me for the great job I did precepting.
Didn't know about the text til I received one from DS19 saying that he is closing. This new manager is definitely working him.
Finally renewed my virus protection... haven't had the extra money until now.
DS13 is worried about me because I'm feeling really crappy and not wanting to eat. I took more NSAIDs and hopefully will feel up to eating in 30 minutes or so.

I did a stash and dash from a table in the main office and put the table boxes/basket in the office closet on shelves. I had DH take my lined basket with handles, full of stuff for my job, into the main office on the table I'd cleared off for him. I did some other tidying in there, too.
I worked on a story, crochet, napped 1 hour and 20 min., and we'll have a late dinner tonight. Am still reading on the book for writers. DD called to say hello, I told her what I was reading and she said she'd bought it 2nd hand for me. (I think she was pleased!) My story's coming along, I'm enjoying the book about fiction writing so much, I'm in love with it, and it'll be a re-read so Booksaver, do you do that, too?
Kathryn, It's good the auction is done. It sounded like a lot of work.
Cathy, How true about shopping being hard work. Did that yesterday and have been worn out today.
scattered, I hope you get to feeling better. I'm still on antibiotics for the end remnants of Cellulitis of the ear, but am so much better. Health is so important. I think the antibiotics are making me tired.
I'll need to tidy up my stash and dash sometime this next week, I hope. The sheets are clean and on the bed. I helped DH make it. I love clean sheets. I found a crochet pattern for hats for the 2 youngest grdsons. Nice to have decided to simplify this year. Had planned on panda helmets, then locomotive hats, bagged doing too much work, so the boys' hats will match in with the look of the other 5 grsons.
Everybody have a great evening!

I don't have much to report from today, but wanted to stop by and at least say hello.
Helia, yes adults go once or twice a year to get thyroid levels tested. At least my DD does. See the hereditary part? She has the same skin conditions and now we share the thyroid thing.
Harriet, 50,000 cans, what are you guys feeding up there, lions? Good catch with the funeral / nursing home slip. I went back and changed. Yikes, I hope that's not a premonition.
OKay sure hope next week's visit goes smoothly.
I didn't do much today except putter around a very little bit. No motivation to even try. During the week I have no choice, Sat's are sometimes quieter, but starting Sunday eve it's back to the grind.
I'm afraid my hair smells too. I visited my colorist tonight, first time in a few months.
Hope you feel better quickly, Scattered. That's a lot of work.
Just noticed the moon very bright and almost full tonight as I let ddogs out/in.
We planned some meals for the next week or so. No family company today as ds#1 works 11am to 8pm. and ddil wouldn't come with the 4 dgkids. So we made a quick run to W-M. Back home dh helped put groceries away, we got some lunch, then I finished my weekend cleaning. We're all ready for tomorrow except I don't know if dfam#2 will come. Ddil posted on FB that she caught a cold "or something" from one of the students. So I guess it depends on how she feels.
Dee, it seems so many companies are closing or stopping employee benefits. My dmom passed away 10 yrs ago, but she had a small pension and health insurance from the company she worked for. A few years before she died the parent company was bought by another and they adjusted the health benefits which affected the amount she had to pay for rx drugs. Anyway, I'm sorry others are going thru the same thing.
Wishing safe travels for Elly and MT & Dh. MT, I enjoyed seeing the pics of the two towns in KS. The Dalas are unique.
Nancy, sounds like you are almost done with the hen house. Any peeps yet?

My situation today is that I need to be working on healthy habits. I think taking supplements regularly and taking walks daily will give me more energy and help with productivity.
Technology is kicking my butt this week. With Dee's help, I got the iPad thing figured out, then I upgraded to iPhone 4 from the 3gs. Am I the only one in the world who can't work iTunes? grrrr And I haven't even tried to log into this site with it yet, but seeing Kathryn's comment I will try now.
It is 10:40 pm here now, so I want to get done: play on the computer a little more, put supplements in weekly container, do pm routine, be in bed by midnight.
MT Where can your blog be found? I'd sure enjoy reading it.
I'm winding down for the night. DH is watching college football, the cat's in the garage, and I've been doing computer stuff. I found a nice little beanie cap to make our 2 youngest grsons for Christmas. I surfed the net, worked on my calendar, and will sign off soon. Need to write my to do list for tomorrow, PODA, and get my ta da list ready for reporting for tomorrow. Haven't finished the book yet, am about half-way done, but am hoping I'm finished before the clutter-busting book arrives this next week. Had a taco for dinner, but my tummy acted up when I recalled too late that I have gastritis and am supposed to stay away from acidic foods. There were sliced cherry tomatoes (so delicious!) and ketchup on the taco. I'm really good to follow my diet, so don't have gastritis symptoms and I just forgot all about it. At least for leftovers I can have the taco meat, tortilla and cheese.
Boxing comes on later, so we'll watch that back and forth with football until SNL comes on. But we can barely make it to midnight now. It's fun to see the opening skits though. It's not like when Jane Curtain, Chevy Chase, and Gilda Radner were on it though. Am I showing my age? It's good to laugh.
Been planning out some of the week and will try to take care of tidying up my stash and dash mess I made today, but it'll need to be done in baby steps. The stash went on office closet shelves, which I noticed are quite cluttered and full of so many items. Oh, well. At least I'm not bored and the nest is empty, except for my cat, so I don't get sidetracked with kids now. I just get sidetracked.
