Admin/Mods: I would like to know about the uncashed check sent to Indiana also.

We have a working sewer system again! The washcloth-down-the-drain adventure ended up costing $250 plus being without sewer for 4 days (although we were away from home for most of that time). I'm glad to have that adventure over with.

supper was yummy! As the weather cools down, I find myself enjoy cooking more.

MPB will be down for repairs at least 2 more days. The replacement equipment is being overnighted in and should arrive tomorrow around noon. The parts/equipment has to be onsite before the installation crew comes.... so that will be Wednesday (hopefully). This is one of the very few repairs that DH can't do by himself. He has been working all day getting things ready.

I was posting, my thumb his something and my post vanished!

My ta da I listed was very long, I've been busy, and by my reading your ta da's, it motivates me to write my own. I won't re-write the entire thing again, but I got a list pad's worth of ta ha's written. Honest!

It's supposed to freeze here again tonight, so I closed the blinds because I could feel the chill coming in already.

I told a friend about a neat book, "Houseworks," and I didn't know I had it already, until this a.m., she ordered it for me for Christmas, she's trying to cancel her order, or she'll try to find somebody else who will like the book. I feel totally embarrassed about it  because my Fibromyalgia, 1 med for it and 1 med for IBS all 3 cause cognitive problems, so I forget and might not remember, until later. I explained this to my friend, apologized, and now I'm "stewing" about it and feel stupid. :( Oh, well. At least it wasn't a diamond ring, right? :?:

OKay, I'm THRILLED that your sewer system is working again! Oh, my. It was expensive, but isn't it nice to have it over!?

Lynlee, I'll need to "Google" a "Miffy" to see what they're like.

MysteryWoman, I never "knew" Indiana, but I sure wish I could have been as fortunate as all of you here, to have known her! :!:

Nancy, You must have had a dry day for doing leaves. :D

Twins' Mom, Sorry it's boring at work these days. A massage sounds nice, too. Hope you'll feel better soon.

Helia, Do you take Hebrew class once a week or more often that that? :?:

Waving to Dee, Sherinjoy, MT, Ellyphant, Harmony, Harriet, scattered and others. :D

Have a good night, Everybody. :D

Whew, what a day, not bad not great... but okay. Got my yearly Eval and the results are I rock as a nurse, but need to work on not touching my peers. This is really hard for me because I am a touchy person. I have a tendency to pat, scratch, rub peoples back when I come up behind them. So that is my objective for this year, keep my hands to myself, lol I feel like I am back in kindergarten. I know it may sound strange but in the psych field we have to be very careful about personal boundaries. Talked to my DP/BFF who said she had messed with the Eval tool we use and my 3.2 means that I am the cream of the crop. :D 8-) :D

The DS's ate before I got home. But since I came home and added spice (not enough curry)

Amazon has miffy dolls...except there are not many left. Same with JCP. Out of the loop since I don't have any little one's around and I'm not in "school" any more.
Scattered..you had me laughing to myself about the hands off comment. I'd be back in kindergarten with you too. :D

Mystery: Ds has mono. So I've moved him home to be sick here (and he's really sick right now, far worse today than Saturday and perhaps even worse than yesterday although I wasn't around much yesterday.)

Dfs has exhaustion, fever, sore throat, nausea and aches. We figure it is probably mono but won't get the test results for a couple of days (ds did his testing through the ER at work.) For now, I'll leave him under the supervision of his fiance but I'm not sure she understands how important it is for her to check him regularly.

Ds is sick enough that I'm getting quite scared and will book an appointment for him for Thursday with his regular doctor. I'll do that tomorrow and if he gets better, I'll cancel it. At the very least, he'll need another doctor's note since the current note he's under only lasts until Friday. All the note does is stop him from being fired - he has no benefits.

Ds was up for 2 hours this morning, then had some soup in the middle of the afternoon that turned his stomach and he's felt nauseous since. The smell of dinner (chicken and baked potatoes, nothing strong smelling) made him feel worse so he didn't eat anything at all and stayed in his room with the door shut. While we were at choir he took a shower and went back to bed. His fever was over 100 when I got home so the shower didn't bring the fever down much at all.

I know the exhaustion is endless with mono but these other symptoms are scary for me, especially the temperature which is bouncing all over the place (it was 98.3 all morning despite his being up.)

Cowinkie - I hope your headache gets better soon, glad I could give you a chuckle.

Kathryn -Please schedule a follow-up appt with the Dr ASAP, even if he says the high temp is normal he can possibly give him something for the nausea, my favorite is Zofran aka ondansteron.

WooHoo!!! I just got a letter from the IRS and it says I owe $0.00! They had sent me a bill for almost $3000.00 back in August because the mortgage company sent the paperwork in under my Mother's SSN even though I claimed the house. I sent them the paperwork and have been waiting for word. 8-)

Managed to get through the unmatched socks... and we have a ton of both matched and unmatched socks. One probable reason is that I throw away holey socks without the match. I tend to buy socks by the bag so usually I can match most of them. Not sure how long I should keep these orphans. Any suggestions for what I can do with a ton of orphaned socks? Egad between them and the holey/worn out towels and washcloths I have enough rags for a large janitorial service. :o

Oh and since I added spice and made rice DS13 enjoyed dinner again.

(((Kathryn & ds))) Ooohhh... I know he must be miserable. Hope he feels better SOON!

Hope your headache passes quickly, too, Cowinkie.

Scattered -- WTG -- but we knew you were cream of the crop already!!! :D
IKWYM about keeping your hands to yourself, too. In education, of course, we're constantly "warned" about stuff like that... but it's really hard for me to restrain myself from a pat on the shoulder or even a hug if a student (or fellow teacher) seems like he/she needs it.

WTG, Ivy on your ta-da's today!

Also glad to hear the plumbing is back to normal in the OKay household!

I've never heard of Miffy either... definitely out of the loop w/little girl toys... I bet I'll soon be hearing about ALL the latest little boy toys, though. I can't wait!!!

Twins -- hope you have a better night tonight!

Waving to Mystery... Nancy... Dee... Sherinjoy... MT... Ellyphant... Harmony... Sunny... Harriet...Lynlee... helia... and EVERYONE ELSE!!!

Ordinary Monday here... and not much motivation. It's always sooo hard to go back after a long weekend. Kids were kinda wired... crazy instructions from Head Shed re: peer observations, teaching techniques, etc... more of that re-invent the wheel stuff that just drives me INSANE!!!
Aunt Flo is on her way later this week... I was just exhausted by the time we left Wmart, and was sorta having a low blood sugar attack -- so I came home and just binged on everything. Took a nap after supper... and now I feel like I've just wasted the night.
I did manage to wash a load of clothes, and dh said that was enough. Wmart & laundry. He said I did not need to start that mountain of ironing tonight, and it was very easy for me to follow his advice. Maybe tomorrow.
