Good Evening, Villagers!

I've not been cuop today, except for 1 a.m. post. I did do a ta da for today, as follows:

- emptied, filled, and ran the DW
- wrote a thank you card for a gift from a DF
- Wrote a to do projects list to be done from Dec. 1 -13
- Tidied the office and rearranged some items
- Got some baby yarn together for the granddaughter due in March, but DH said for me not to crochet for her because of the condition Ddil is in. DH doesn't want me to crochet, get my hopes up and then have something go terribly wrong and then me be devastated. So decided to wait and see how things go. I can always whip things up quickly for the baby, AND I have 2 baby girl afghans done and a pink hat, too. -
- I put out hot spots
- I sorted laundry, but don't have enough for a load.
- I emptied all the waste baskets out.
- I set the dawn simulator.
- I walked 30 min.
- I sorted the mail.
- I napped.
- I finished a short story I'd been working on, proofed it and submitted it.

Ivy: I think your dh is wise. If she is born really early, she'll be in the hospital long enough for you to get some premie knitting done.

I remember when I was 12 Mrs. Smith, the neighbour across the street, having her third child, a little girl. She had been told this one was to be her third boy so had nothing for a baby girl. This was the Friday of the Labour Day weekend. All weekend long, her next door neighbour sat on a lawn chair on her lawn, knitting while keeping an eye on her 4 boys, and Mrs. Smith's 2 boys (and the rest of us neighbourhood kids) as we enjoyed our last summer days before school started on Tuesday.

By the time Monday evening rolled around, there was a complete 'coming home' set in pink for baby Pam which she took to the hospital when she visited her friend. I was always struck by her devotion to her friend that weekend. Oh, and Mrs. Smith handed down all of Pam's things when her friend decided not to take any chances and adopted a baby girl.

I'm back from our evening out. Poor ds is whipped. And all he did was sit or lie down (except for 15 minutes of shopping at Walmart.) His project at work 'goes live' tonight at 11 and he wants to stay up so he can call in and wish everyone good luck.

Dfs is much, much, better. He's off work until Tuesday so will be just fine by then. He made pulled pork for his dinner tonight and did a lot of laundry. I put the sheets back on ds's bed, gathered up all his laundry from the floor (dfs had missed a fair bit) and tossed all the garbage in the room. That made a bit of a difference. Ds then laid down on his bed and I sat and chatted with dfs and his fiance. I really like her. We talked about how much of the stuff in the place belongs to ds (I'll be storing it for him when he goes away.) There is way too much to store right now so ds has 5 months to get rid of about 2/3 of his stuff. It is a bit overwhelming, there is so much. Maybe his sister will move here and need some of the things.

I'm wired (had a coke with dinner) so am not sure what I'll do next.

I went upstairs and brushed my teeth, washed my face, took my nighttime vitamins and put in my mouth guard, so all I have to do now is my eye drops and change into my nightie.

Then I:

* put away all the laundry on the drying rack
* moved all the ironing, the iron and the board, down to the basement
* and watched an episode of Downton Abbey while doing the last month's worth of ironing.
* Ran a load of laundry concurrently with the ironing and tv watching ***Triple Tasking!!!***
* tidied the kitchen and washed up the hand dishes

I should be able to fall asleep soon. Oh, and it is now after midnight here so I'm going around, changing all the calendars over to the new month.
