Your so right LadyMaverick he does need to learn to remember his homework, and now is the best time to learn.
since school started here which means i am back to work, i have been so tired and feet really hurting its all i can do to get dinner on the table, i have 2 mornings a week where i come straight home by 8:30 a.m. and can get some dishes done, i have to be back no later than 10:00 A.m. the other 3 morning i go to an exercise class can only do about 1/2 of the class same problem need to be back for first recess.
its been a hectic start to school we also have a new principal which i really like but learning her ways is proving hard old habits die hard.

wishing everyone a great evening.

:D Good Luck on Monday's job interview, Elizabeth! I'll be thinking of you! :!:

Am nearing the end of a Debbie Macomber book, "The Shop on Blossom Street." The shop is "A Good Yarn," because the main character sells good yarn there, in her shop. Each chapter starts out with a quote from a knitter. They're so true! Although I'm not a knitter, I've tried and this book's chapter quotes at each start, is really cool.

DH is watching the Mariners game. They're playing the Texas Rangers. It's 7 to 4 in our favor in the 9th inning, the top, where the Seattle Mariners are currently playing in the top of the inning. Hoping the Rangers don't get the game tied up to win.

Ramblingrose, That's good you were there for the little puppy. WTG! :!: :)

Kathryn, How is the Senior version of "Jesus Loves Me," differ from the children's version? :?: I'm curious.

(((Booksaver))), It's terrible when things like that happen to destroy the pleasant flow of the day. Some people shouldn't push "send" on their email until they've thought it through first. Does this lady take offense at others a lot, too? Is it a pattern with her? I see where you're trying to just instruct her on how it's just the way it is and were businesslike, but it doesn't sound like she took it that way. Maybe she's just having a bad day or tends to take things personal anyway. I hope it blows over. :!: It's so difficult to not let something or someone like that get "to you".

I find that writing in my journal helps, music and rest. Sometimes though, it takes me several hours or a good night's sleep, to let "go" of it. Some people are just "problem people" and there's nothing we can do to change that or them, except try to change our own attitude towards them, which sometimes works. I know it's been said if you get angry at somebody else, you're giving them power over you, too. It's just one of those "challenging life moments" we deal with sometimes. :(

(((BookSaver))) You could do like us and just sleep through the crossroads of the day...
Seriously, I know that is not a great way to start the day, and I do hate that you had to start yours w/this angry email... (((BIG HUGS)))

Back from ballgame... we won. I enjoyed talking w/a couple of former students, one whose daughter is also a former student now, LOL. DGS and ddil stayed home, and ddil still feels "queasy" she says, sooo... looks like I'll be making the trip to college town tomorrow. Oh well. I do hope ddil feels well enough that ds doesn't feel terrible for leaving her w/dgs -- or feel that he CAN'T leave her -- b/c a friend wanted to buy extra tickets and we told them we didn't have any. And the friend will be there, sitting in dbil's extra seat, so she'll know we didn't use ours. But I think ds IS going tomorrow. Either way, I've decided in whatsoever state I find myself, therein to be content. Dxsisil texted me this week, said she wished I was coming, said for me to call her sometime for lunch when I'm in her town (just the next town over, where we do all our main shopping and stuff anyway)... and I feel it's still sorta awkward, but dxsisil and I have been "sisters" for 28 years. I miss her too! And if she's still sitting at ballgames w/dbil and staying at the condo w/him and dniece, then I guess I should continue to act as if nothing ever happened. But obviously it DID... so... it's just weird.

Good luck Monday, Elizabeth!

Hello, cats! I can relate to learning a new principal's "ways." One of the best things about being retired... no more start of school adjustments.

Waving to all! Hope y'all have a great weekend!

Lucylee this is probably about the 4 or 5 principal we been through, I think once we get adjusted to what she wants it will be a good year I really like her so kinda hoping she sticks around for a long time. Tired of going through principals. I just do the recess and i have all of them. i do wish i could just stay home but we just can't afford to do that so we keep going.
