Hi everyone and Happy Thanksgiving! Y'all had me scared there. What happened to Halloween?

Elizabeth's Own Electrical Installers was busy today, installing a bathroom light fixture. The old one was broken and a matching globe would be hard to find. Also, it had those burny halogen bulbs that give me blisters when I have to change them. HATE HATE HATE! Before the installation, I had to do some touch up painting because the base was smaller. I bought the fixture as a celebratory gift for getting the unofficial, verbal job offer. However, I have still gotten nothing in writing and maybe I was premature. The start date discussed was 27 Oct. Have they forgotten me? I had a phone interview today, and was given homework. I need to write a summary of my technical skills to give to his customer. Tomorrow, I have an in-person interview in Santa Fe. I have printed all the info I have on that.

I have worked on the church website for a while and taken care of a DPC. I have not done any costume work and will not have time tonight, because I am so tired and need to be up tomorrow morning.

Next up, check the travel time for the interview tomorrow. Then, I will do cat care (including an extreme catbox clean) and me care. It is quite cold in my house and the X is coming tomorrow to set up my heater. I need to learn how to do that myself. However, the time I went on the web to learn it, it was a complete disaster. He refuses to teach things in the way I learn them. I need a checklist, he thinks that by understanding the principles (I do and can write the equations) that it will magically make the mechanics obvious. I am a THEORETICAL physicist, not an experimental one, and this method never worked in all the 21 years we were married and I don't understand why he thinks it will work now. I would hire someone else to do it, but I am cold NOW, not to mention broke still. I am not mechanically or electrically inept, but I come from a family that never opened the hood of a car, and a region of the country where no one has ever heard of a swamp cooler.

Dh and I are throwing in the towel (literally.)

I got the table cloth washed and it is on a drying rack now. Normally, I would have soaked it overnight but don't have a laundry tub so washed it straight from the table. Every one of the stains came off thank heavens (there were many, many, stains - gravy, juice, sauce.)

Dh and I are giving up because we are worried we'll drop something and break it because we are so tired. Total step count for me today is just shy of 15K.
