Re: Tuesday Ta-Dahs!

Hi everyone! My Ta-Da for today is that I figured out the train/bus route to my new JOB! Right now, all I am doing is training and paperwork, but that will end soon. My title is IT Business Analyst and the eventual plan is for me to become the predictive analytics guru. I'm not sure how I am going to handle Christmas vacation. I certainly won't have accrued enough for my usual nearly two weeks visit to Alabama. However, DD12 will certainly be going, both to the X's parents house and my parent's house.
Girls' Night Out was a fail tonight. DD had homework, which the X didn't bother trying to get her to do before I got her at 630. I had to get her fed, the homework sorted out, and she wanted to go to the library. She did not want to do the homework, which she left at the X's house and we had to go back for it. She wouldn't listen to anything I said and would not give me a chance to look at the parent's tips for the sort of homework. (The homework problems were not difficult for me, but their method just makes it hard). I had to take her back early to the X.
Since then, I have: checked email, done LOL, gathered some things for work tomorrow, ordered train tickets online, ordered new glasses (mine are terribly scratched), some party cleanup, some cat care, me care
Still need to do: find out to whom and how much a check was, pack tomorrow's lunch, lay out tomorrow's clothes, finish cat care.
Speaking of cats, the newest fosters have been released from isolation now that they have tested negative and the party is over. I thought there would be fireworks. Despite being malnourished and scrawny (one seriously so), these two big boys weigh in at 9.2 and 9.6 pounds! The vet said they had "been around the block", strays for years and had the scars to prove it. I assumed the more assertive of the two would challenge my rather weak queen, but he has not. In fact, I found him sleeping in DD's closet. The other may not have ever left the sewing room. I have named them Briggs and Stratton, after the engine company, because they like to purr.
Here's an unfortunate thing: The train gets back too late for me to continue with Wednesday dinners at church, and I probably won't be able to make Bible study either.
ETA: Looks like I'll be doing some banking, too. When I looked at the check book to find what check I need info for, I realized I am dangerously close to negative balance. I do have overdraft protection, but I don't want to actually USE it.
