Since my Thyroid is having "problems" leveling out, which messes up weight loss, and because my Dr. and nurse, both said on separate occasions, how when my Thyroid returns to normal, I'll gain a little weight- I'll "go with it." I'll be returning to my low-carb diet, on Feb. 1st, because it's a Sunday, a first day of a month, and will be after my colonoscopy. I read Dr. Phil McGraw's book "The 20/20 Diet," and his foods, listed for phase 1, 2, & 3, on his diet are not foods, which I can eat, because of GI issues, etc... This is why I decided to do the low-carb diet again. I've had success on it, I feel good, in my brain function, memory, and thinking, and I have less fibromyalgia pain, and more energy. I keep reading how the low-carb diet is good for the brain, FM and the muscles and nerve endings, too.
Dr. Phil talks about people who are weight-loss resistant. He stated how some of those people, with this problem, have Thyroid problems, GI and Gerd problems. (He listed other health problems, which I don't have, thankfully. I'm just listing my problems.) He said to not let it give you a license to not even try! He said people, who are weight-loss-resistant, CAN exercise and CAN eat healthy. He talked about his problems, too, but notices how on the tennis court, how much better he moves, for longer, and how much better he feels, too. He's very motivating, he's very honest, has a sense of humor, which makes me laugh out loud, and I recommend his book to anybody. He has tips and information on "mind eating," which is emotional eating, and other good tips and information as well.
Even thought I won't be following his particular diet, I DID get a LOT out of his book, and when I read about the Thyroid, I felt more at Peace and better about this situation my body has me in right now!
Also, sometime this upcoming week, we're going to Walmart. I looked on-line at their site. I saw where they sell Signature Levis jeans AND Lee jeans, TOO.

I would love to purchase a pair of size 18 jeans, perhaps a top, to have a new outfit, from my b-day money. I know size 18 may seem large to some people, but I used to wear size 2x/3x or 22/23. I was a huge woman. So 18, to me, isn't too terrible, I am comfy in size 18 now, and if I gain weight, the 18's will fit me still, because the Dr. and nurse said "put on a LITTLE weight." I'm thinking about 5 - 8 Lbs. and NOT 50 Lbs., in other words. I'm very happy to be a size 18, because I got people who stared at me, pointed, and said "things", which I was obese at a much larger size.

I'm not going to allow a # on the scales or the tag, to NOT validate me as the person I AM, inside, and I do think I'm a pretty special person. I don't give up, I'm a good friend, I try to keep a good attitude, I'm a giving person, and there's many more positive things, which define me than merely numbers. I will get back on my diet on Feb. 1, though, to try to do my best. And feel my best, too. I have a pen friend, who is battling the same exact thing I am, and since my Dr. asked me if I've ever had thyroid cancer, or nodules removed, I said no, my pen friend said she's praying that NEITHER one of us has Thyroid cancer. It's so nice to have a dfriend, in the same situation. I don't feel so solitary and alone now.
