Re: What's for Dinner?
make tomato soup for lunch - easy -
make early: cucumber salad for fridge
dinner: chive risotto cakes
spinach sauteed with pine nuts and feta
(prepared by butcher - dijon chicken)
pears are going bad so are the apples... maybe make applesauce out of them.

Re: What's for Dinner?
last night I made spaghetti squash with home made tomato sauce, dh wanted Italian sausage, I had a cucumber that needed using so I made cucumber salad
today: I have chicken stock I made that needs using. (made another rough tomato soup... I didn't like it as much as pureeing tomato soup.) we had this for dinner with sandwiches.
I will also boil some eggs just to have
my menu changed
Wednesday
Israeli tuna cous cous salad by Ina Garten
make the pound cake for when dd younger comes home
I still have some danish blue cheese that needs using. thinking of buying some pears to go with it.

tuesday 3/17/15
I should be making corned beef and cabbage but, I thought I would wait until after St. Paddy's day as it all goes on sale
My menu changed completely as I found fresh walleye today!
I love panko crusted fish but dd older is here; so, I will broil it
I have different colored carrots and I am thinking of making a multi colored salad with french vinaigrette.
lunch: stopped at the little Italian Deli this morning for cured black olives for the israeli salad and bought artichoke pasta dish for 5.99 (not bad for eating out)- fresh homemade pasta - artichokes-capers- tomato-garlic-pepper flakes... I had my left over cucumber salad with it.

Re: What's for Dinner?
dd younger made a celeriac and potato puree and I made scallops and added basil oil to the top and chives as per ina garten ... delicious
dd made a celeriac salad just like my grandmother used to as well... we had left over celeriac mmm mmm good - she is becoming quit a good home cook - like my grandmother
I have been looking at adding all types of salads to our lunches - they just need a little prep ahead of time - ie balsamic beet salad needs beets cooked ahead and a new favorite for summer: grapefruit avocado salad... sounds weird but delicious

Re: What's for Dinner?
ribs and barbecue sauce, cut up veggies tonight got lots of compliments
I am making the beets today and cutting up some of the fruit today for tomorrows salads:
wash the lettuces and paper towel them
for tomorrow: beet and arugula salad with herb goat cheese
regular salad with artichoke hearts marinated, different type of lettuce, tomato, avocado, carrots, cucumber, olives dressing with scallions, garlic and vinegar and oil.
fruit salad
dd younger... her homemade lemonade
I will never buy precut fruit again... they charged me 20.00 for a small bowl.

Re: What's for Dinner?
I have to make the pea soup before the home bone goes bad!
last night we had omelets and fruit and boston lettuce salad
I put roasted red pepper, chives, basil, parsley, shallots and wild mushrooms and for the cheese parmesan
