I can also not in my wildest imagination envision myself taking a trip to Italy alone at 16... but I greatly admire those who can & do, Cowinkie!
Well, I feel like I should wish Mr. & Mrs. Sunny a happy * early * anniversary, too! So -- Happy Anniversary, Sunny & dh!!!
Who knows what I'll be doing on the 15th, anyway... could be at the hospital waiting for a baby to be born.
DH says he hopes it doesn't come that early! Although doctor says baby weighs 6 lbs 7 oz, dh says that is too little.
(I think that is what I weighed at birth, actually.)
* Also hope your sinus problem clears up soon, Sunny!
I haven't gotten very far w/thank you's OR addresses... dcousin (who wasn't able to attend the shower) stopped by for a MINUTE and left 2.5 hours later! I didn't mind -- she and I have been very dear friends all our lives, literally, since we were babies together in the church nursery -- but we seldom get to talk much anymore. It was so good to see her for awhile. She is the one whose older sister passed away last Thanksgiving.
Also talked to dfriend from school on the phone for a minute... and now I'm back at the computer.
Random thoughts...
I was also very thankful that Indiana found the split in the oxygen tube and solved that problem! Also, (((Jake))) for loss of frog friend. I was LOL @ the image of their game of tag!
(((Willis))) too!
LOL @ Mr. Guy & MGF... that is so nice. A lot of times, men don't have good friendships when they get older, you know. DH has three or four men he plays golf with every two or three weeks, but he probably would not say they are "close" like women friends are. For example, he could not, in his wildest imagination, envision discussing with those guys some of the things I discuss with you girls!
I don't eat squash, and neither does dh, but I think dmom loves it! I also think she & my late dgm have made squash casseroles before.
We went to Washington DC & Gettysburg when ds was really too little to enjoy it. We were waaay too rushed in Washington, also. I would LOVE to go back... I would especially like to see Mt. Vernon, and I'd like to go to Williamsburg, VA, also, while I'm headed in that direction. (DH says, "WHEN YOU RETIRE...")
Harmony, I do my calendars exactly as you described. I keep one on the kitchen wall and one in my purse, a little 4x6 (?) 6-ring binder. And sometimes I switch up somebody's date just like you described also!
