Well... maybe I should answer the "out of area" calls, if Pat Boone is calling. That would be kinda fun to talk to him.
Wonder if George Clooney is making any personal calls? Hmmm...
I bet they are all recordings, though, not personal calls where one could chat with the celebrity, LOL!
(I don't really agree w/George Clooney's politics, but I'd enjoy a phone call from him anyway.

)
Or Clint Eastwood. I wouldn't mind a phone call from Clint Eastwood.
But nah... all I get is the wife of a local candidate.

Oh well.

Harmony - LOL!!! This is what a typical day off for me used to be like except I would get way more done... of course I kept my maintenance up back then, but now I am trying to get it into shape so it is taking me hours... hmm 11-12 hours today. Oh and thanks for reminding me that I have to leave early to vote in the morning.

Harmony, I am having a good laugh over your comment on why dh takes these trips. They are on his bucket list to go from border to border and coast to coast. Now he is not content to go to say California. He wants a separate trip to the P acific NW. He was born in Washington but they left there when he was 6 weeks old. Then they spent his 7th grade thru sophomore years in Oregon. He had intended to go back after he graduated HS. Then he met me his sr. year and here we are 43 years later. I just keep telling him that if he wants to waste money on these trips, he needs to keep working. He would love to retire but he needs to work until March 2015.
Dh called at 8:40 and they were off the road for the night. He said they kept seeing red splotches on the highway, just every little bit. They both know that they are not a match for a deer while riding a motorcycle.
I am really impressed with that HD dealership. They only charged the guy $230.00 for picking them and the 2 bikes up which was 180 miles round trip, the labor and parts. Dh says that the majority of HD dealerships go out of their way to help travelers.
Dgd16 is having a test in the morning to see if her gall bladder is functioning. It is at 8:00. Dd2 has the boys this week and her dh needs to get to the farm early. I will meet dgd16 at the hospital. Dd2 will come as soon as she drops the boys at school and the girls at daycare.
Guess I better get my clothes ironed so that I won't have to rush around in the morning and do that.

Scattered ~ As I told Ivy, Apron Day is a holiday that Harriet and I made up because we both like aprons. For me, it means a day when I don't have to leave the house, so I can get caught up on chores. It also is usually a day I don't have to see anyone else but DH, so I don't have to put on makeup and can give my skin a rest.
Apron Day went well here today, managed to work through quite a few cards.
Today I've also spent a significant amount of time preparing for tomorrow night's sewing group meeting. I had some reports to complete and, since it will be our annual election of officers, a speech to write.

Not my favorite thing, but required to keep us legal. Once that boring business part is over, the rest of the meeting will be fun.
I started a couple loads of laundry late this evening. Waiting for the dryer to buzz on the first load so I can hang up a few things. The clothes still in the washer won't wrinkle (or I don't care if they do) so I'll toss them in the dryer first thing tomorrow morning.
We've been getting political calls and messages on our machine for MONTHS. I am so tired and disgusted by them. I took a nap this afternoon for an hour and a half, and came downstairs to find 5 messages from that short a time. Typically we have had at least as many if not more callers that hang up rather than leave a message. We do not have caller ID so we screen all calls with the machine. As I said, it started months ago with a couple of calls each day. They've increased until the past week or so we've gotten 8-10 messages EVERY DAY including Sundays, plus as many hang ups. This is not persuading anybody, it is ANNOYING.

I folded and put away a load of towels, leftover in the dryer from yesterday. I read quite a bit on my "Writer's Digest" issue, which has some great tips in it. Then I worked on a short story for awhile.
I need to get out tomorrow's clothes, set my dawn simulator, and write a to do list. I can't believe tomorrow's going to be Tues. the 6th already! Soon it'll be Thanksgiving!
It was sunny a lot today. Tonight showers are supposed to come in and it'll start getting cold at night, in the 30's. For a high on Fri. it'll be in the 40's.
We had a housefly come in the house and it was buzzing around last night. Our cat kills bugs, spiders, etc... She got the fly and left it on the kitchen floor. Gross. I'm glad nobody stepped on it!
I almost put on an Apron tonight, but resisted. It was just too late to clean, so worked on the story instead.
I'm feeling better tonight than I was last night and this morning. I'm glad, so hope I sleep well and feel even better tomorrow. By hump day, I should feel even better.
Have a good sleep, Everybody!
