Congratulations, KittyKatt! Hurray for a great job. Also a great job of staying on top of your progress as you went along. Thanks for letting us in on the project.
lol, lucylee. By holder, do you mean the floor holders gripping them, or the handheld fluffy-duster holder?
For the dusting wand fluffies, I did purchase a completely unknown name that said it would fit (Ariver - actually I sort of felt like I was tricked somewhat because the photo seemed to show the brand name). But so far, so good on those. They do indeed fit my brand-name "wand" and go on and off it normally. I have some very low-to-the-floor furniture that the wand type can squeeze under fast without a problem, rather than needing to move furniture so much, to get even a regular swiffer broom under there. So, after using for delicate dusting, they are used for that purpose before being tossed.
This house doesn't have ceiling fans, but the fluffies on a wand really helped for those in the other house.

Thank you, Harriet! I found the accountability and encouragement of these threads really helped, and also tracking my progress.

Yes, Harriet, the handheld wand. The two little prongs go through and tear the fluffy stuff. Itβs doable, but not as good as the name brand.

Kitchen starts today, with a peek into the Living Room for declutter in my house. The kitchen bar is in need, and, sad to say (smile) that's because it's also the den bar, of course, a pass-through, and we use it for so much! It is one of the hotspots of the house, no doubt. I can use it as a help for creative things if I keep it straightened, because it is a great height and size, so I can't say there isn't incentive!

I made taxes my zone for last week, so now I'm back to the computer room, which has been the zone for the past several weeks.
Harriet, ds and ddil have a kitchen bar like that -- the den and kitchen make a sort of L, and the back of the den looks across the bar to the kitchen. The back entrance, which is the only entrance really ever used, comes right into the back of the den, with a half-bath and the laundry room just inside the back door. To say it is a hot spot would be very much an understatement. The surface of the sun is not as hot.
OTOH, ddil and ds have been making Rice Krispie treats and gave me several to take home just now when I dropped off dgd's batting helmet.

blessed, that's true that as much as chatting makes me smile about cleaning more
, it's just the general schedule (or knowing that there IS a general schedule) that is such an important thing. When I want to get back on the wagon, having either fallen off or started to teeter, it takes no more than a minute to see "where" I am.
lucylee, substituting for a certain room/area makes sense so often for me. I think taxes are a very realistic substitution, especially since "office" is one area in rotation! How can an office be cleaned if taxes are sitting all over it, whether physically or mentally or both! It's a matter of dealing with the first layer.
What a blessing to work on the kitchen here and see that benefit so many parts of life for us. Twice now I've been able to spread out and use the nice hip-high counter of the bar to progress on creative projects without hurting my back.
Several visits lately have been less stressful for me because the LR was ready for company.
Today moving into "Dining Room week" for a family who does not have a traditional dining room. But again, the den sort of fits the bill of another "front room" of the house and is in constant use and need.
Our last week of the first round through our lovely 2026 homes!
