Just echoing what MT said. To 'newbies" and all others who haven't sent us your dates: birthdays, anniversaries, etc. just send me a PM with those listed. We'll do the rest. Don't want to miss anyone's special day(s)!
Begun is half done -SO! JUST BEGIN!!

Quick post & run without cuop --popping in to say hello & goodnight :) . I see it was our village anniversary yesterday! Five years really flew by fast, didn't they?

Sweet dreams, everyone.

Awfully late, looks like y'all have all gone to bed... but I may not "see" you tomorrow, and if not, it will be Saturday night before I get back to the village -- so -- y'all have a great weekend, starting tomorrow. ;)

I lied. I said I would shut up & pray. I lied. I have not grown... I have not gotten calmer... I lied.
(I do thank you for your kind words, though, Harriet.)
This is Thank You Note Obsession Version 3.0...
This will maybe explain WHY I am reacting like I am.
Tonight, dh mentioned to dmil that yes, it would be nice to do something for recently bereaved widow in our community, whom dmil was talking about had been so kind and given such nice gift @ baby shower.... yada yada yada...
DH said, yes, it certainly would be nice, especially since widow had not received thank you note...
Dmil was pretty much horrified, and after much dismay @ the young couple, said, "Lucylee, you should just write them yourself. These people NEED to be thanked."
* sigh *
DH has been saying this same thing for six weeks now.
MY dmom even said the same thing... the notes HAVE to be written, she said.
* sigh *
Soooo... I told ds tonight that dmil is now upset, (like Harriet mentioned, ds and I can talk pretty straight to each other) and that since she AND dmom think it is better for me to help write than for no one to write, that I will help them. I told him, "When you get home from this trip, just bring your stuff over, and you, ddil, and I will get them done while dh watches dgs. It won't take us an hour if all three of us get busy with it."
I figure I can write to people I am less close to, less likely to consider my handwriting... or dmom said maybe I could address the envelopes as they write the notes.
DS said okay.
* sigh *
I do hope this doesn't make ddil mad, but ds DID say to me a week ago, "Do you want to help us with them?"
So... now I'm offering to help. Maybe ddil will just be glad to have it done and over with. I hope so. I mean, she HAS been complaining b/c ds won't help. Maybe if his grandmothers nudging gets him to sit down and JUST DO IT, even if he does have to have the added pressure of my presence... maybe she'll be okay.
I expressed this concern to dmom, and she said again, "Well, it HAS to be done."
So see... this is the culture I have been raised in. This is why I am such a basket case.

Y'all have a good weekend.
Tomorrow is another day.
