Re: Wonderful Wednesday
Girls are in bed. DD decided she'll shower in the morning, so I don't dare stay up too late, as I'll be fighting her for the bathroom if I oversleep. However, I haven't done a thing about getting pieces cut for the (former) school library bulletin board. Hmph!
Do I cut 'em now or later? First, I need to excavate a suitable workplace for the C ricut. Then again, maybe I can just take it with me to the library tomorrow. Wishing now I had one of those fancy-dancy carrying cases.

Re: Wonderful Wednesday
Just lost a post durnit! I have done most of what was needed: grocery shopping, Bible study, bill pay, Quicken update, transfer money. DD10 called upset that her dad told her she needed a different bedtime snack besides popcorn. Spent 30 minutes calming her down. Reminds me, I haven't eaten dinner. I guess I will have cereal, it is easy. I still need to investigate job lead and do catboxes too. I really want to get to bed early because I took migraine meds and am now sleepy. That will probably not happen. See you later or tomorrow!

Re: Wonderful Wednesday
Busy day, Elizabeth! I can easily imagine my dd10 having a half-hour fit over popcorn -- or anything else. I hear ya!
Finished one more card -- pretty much all that's left is a quick tidy & bedtime routines, so I'll say good-night!
Tomorrow will be zooey -- simultaneous hockey practices, and DH at his school's open house. Don't know what to do -- both really should be at their practices; dd has a game on Sunday, and DD will likely miss Sunday's practice b/c it looks like DyoungestBIL's family will indeed be stopping here on their way to Canada.
'Night, all!

Re: Wonderful Wednesday
Wow, 6 pages. Hello to everyone.
We (dh & I) started out early this morning for his Dr. appt. We had a couple of errands to run afterward and worked our way home via Applebee's. Thanks to dsis for the gift card!
Trying to remember all I read...
Dee, I'm so glad you were not in the bank today!
(((Helia))).
Ivy, I'm sorry you have trouble with your eyes.
(((Harmony))), I'm glad you are finding out from Dr. what has been troubling you. I sure hope you get some good rest tonight without the scary dreams. Hugging you with all my heart!
Lilac and Harriet, you both have good info and advise for Harmony. I will try to remember for future reference in case I need it, too.
I had a nice talk with my dsis this afternoon! My two local dsons called last evening to wish me happy birthday. Ds#3 in VA called on his lunch hour today while we were shopping. This evening dgd15 and dgs10 called, too. That was nice as it has been a few weeks since we talked. I miss them so much! Ds#3 told me his promotion will start Feb. 1st, so now we can start making plans to be there when they have the ceremony.
I need to get some sleep. Good night everyone......good morning to Lynlee; enjoy your day!

Re: Wonderful Wednesday
Sunny, is DS3's promotion to a different job or rank or what? Feb. 1st. And you two are thinking of going? Flying, I hope. Cold & snowy won't make for an easy car trip I'm thinking.
CONGRATULATIONS IVY for new baby grand-daughter-to-be. Hoping for healthy mother and baby.
Thank you everyone for your tips and suggestions. Twins, now I understand the terrors I've been having. Oh, they are the absolutely worst worst thing to experience. I am trying a night light in the bedroom, hoping that will help. If it is originating in my brain, it might not, and I am a little apprehensive. Lilac, dr. is checking my autoimmune thing too. My DD1 has that with her thyroid, and she sounds just like you except she let hers burn out naturally instead of taking the radiation. Doing it that way she avoided the radiation in her body but had a couple months more of symptoms.
Harriet, good that you finally got those hearing aids. I stopped by wm on the way home, needing a couple things, and of course I picked up the wrong B12; so I will switch. This bottle is 2 months' worth.
helia, you are such a good mother. It's too bad your dmom is not more supportive.
Lucylee, I like this latest plan for the notes. Sounds just about right with all 3 of you getting them done.
I slept all evening till dH got home from youth group, then I went out and helped him bring a truck home. I am back in bed here in a flash, hoping I can sleep the night through without any problems. Going to check Dee's message now.

Re: Wonderful Wednesday
Harmony, my dd1 also has a thyroid problem. It reared it's ugly head when she was 14. We spent 2 years trying everything but the radioactive iodine. Finally we realized that we had 2 choices, that or surgery. We went with the surgery. It was so scary. With it being a vascular surgery, they had her donate several pints of her own blood to be stored for her if needed. Luckily they weren't needed. She also takes a thyroid pill, hers is Synthroid.
My paternal grandmother also had taken the radioactive iodine. Both of my parents and both maternal grandparents ended up with it later in life. They all just took/take Synthroid. With that family history, we are always on the watch for it. As you can attest to Harmony, no one wants to have it and not get it controlled as soon as possible.
I will be sleeping either on the sofa upstairs or a recliner in the basement. Dh has a fan going in the bedroom. The house is a little stuffy but we are suppose to be a lot cooler tomorrow and I don't want to open windows and cool the house down where it will be chilly. With this cold, I don't need to be sleeping in front of a fan. Dh went to bed later than normal, so I don't want to keep him awake. I wouldn't be able to sleep at all, if it weren't for B reathe R ight strips.
