Booksaver, That's such a NICE idea!

I re-decorated the bathrooms, eating bar, dining room table today. I plan to put the red, green, and white tablecloth on the table with green placemats for Thanksgiving dinner. It's very festive and bright. It'll be nicer than the forest green solid one or the pastel pink jacquard I use for Easter and Mother's Day. I'll be formulating my pre-Thanksgiving cleaning list, too.

DH said at the end of the month, we'll go to Sears. I would like to find a festive top for the holidays. Perhaps I'll wear it on Thanksgiving Day, too.

I have a metal sculpture of a turkey and then a wooden Happy Thanksgiving sign next to a pilgrim couple to get out. I already have my Current Thanksgiving angel out. The smaller cornucopia is on top of the dining room china cabinet and the larger one is on a utility room cabinet, up high, (my cat eats fakes and real plants), where it can be seen when people use the powder room, off the entry way. Also, it's visible from the entry way, if people look into the utility room.

I have an antique bowl full of miniature Indian corn, in my dining room cabinet, because my kitty eats things like that, if they're left down on a table or counter.

I need to get the turkey day stuff out. It us in the tote with the orange lid downstairs. X Did that decluttered a few items and have the turkey decorations up now.

I like it when people decorate with autumn things after Halloween, rather than jumping right to Christmas the way the stores do. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love Christmas decorations ... but harvest time deserves to be celebrated, too.

When is Hanakuh? I need to know when to assemble the basket for that.

Get my d sil money for thanksgiving as she always cooks so beautifully!
put money aside for the day after thanksgiving shopping (lol on putting money aside)
get a hotel and a restaurant reservation for us for their visit

]November:
ask dkids and dh what wishes they have for the holidays
make list of giving done
get furnace cleaned and checked
have music and movies for the holidays set aside done
take video of last shopping trip and put on dvd for each family member
make guest baskets for room my young cousins are staying in
buy new pillows (I do that once a year) bought for guests
check blankets and pillows, lights, sheets, towels (put in plastic wrap until ready to use)
buy french books and magazines, map of Chicago and New York
check lights
go through christmas things and dejunked done
put up outside - lights
trim roses
design a plan for the village
plan menu for december and pre make meals for freezer
plan cookies and hors d'oeuveres
get stocking stuffers now and put in plastic bags ready for stuffing
end of november get garland for outside and hang
put village up after thanksgiving
buy candy for gingerbread houses

shop for christmas presents and pjs
have St. Nicholas day ready ahead of time and ship dd younger hers with her room mate.

I put the holiday address labels on the addressed Christmas cards today! Yay!

I finished crocheting the edging to DGD's-22-months afghan.

I'm almost finished with the matching dolly's afghan.

I'm going to buy pink cotton yarn for a bath puppet for DGD next.

I already have 1 cone red and 1 cone 2-shaded-variegated for DGS-5.5's & DGS-3.5's bath puppets.

I put the Christmas tablecloth on, red-white-green, with green placemats and decorated the 1 diagonal corner placemat with THANKSGIVING things! LOL!

I put up my Thanksgiving pilgrim couple sign and my metal turkey sculpture, too.

Sounds like the kids are okay with the brunch idea on Sunday.

I've decided to not put in a lot of time, detail, and trouble on puppets. I don't have the time, nor patience right now. I went to

and printed up a "Marty's Tub Buds," pattern for children, to play with in the bathtub. I've made it before, they're a huge hit, they last and last, and it's a very simple pattern to crochet. Grandma just needed to take the easy way out. They also get afghans apiece, too.
