After the procrastination comparisons yesterday, what could Wednesday be except Anti-Procrastination Day? Never mind who is the queen of procrastination (could be sitting in this chair, no?) many of us share that trait.

What can you do today that's been on your mind, and that you haven't done yet? Find one or two of those and let's get busy!

I thought that I'd be able to relax while dh was away but I've been on the run more than I haven't. This a.m. I'm going to the DAR meeting only - not the lunch - because a friend is considering joining and wants to attend. Last one of this "year" because they restart in Sept. BTW, Congrats to RR on her admittance and her shiny new DAR number assigned!

Free after that. I have one HOA matter to look at this afternoon and a list of a few other things - none are biggies.

Need to s2s after my sweaty afternoon yesterday. The "feels like" was in upper nineties. Whew.

Good morning

It is definitely summer type weather here 96F/35C with a feels like of 101F. If I was forced to choose between hot or cold weather I would choose hot ever time. I might need to remind myself of that preference later when opening the door to walk outside gives similar feeling of opening the oven door.

Today project is finishing up the stack of prescription papers. Making this decision not only reduces a pile of papers, but it helps in going forward how I will deal with incoming prescription papers.

Speaking of prescriptions....DD15 has 2 prescriptions that need to be picked up from the pharmacy. I will fit that in sometime today.

Focusing on the basics -
** Daily routines
** Dinner
** Dishes
** Duds
** Declaw the paper tiger
** Declutter
** Deep Clean

Picking a D and getting started. Doesn't really matter where I start as long as I do get moving.

Hi!

Dh must have had a very rough night. I have done a load of laundry already and it's almost ready to come out of the dryer. Right now dh is sleeping on the bed.

It's overcast and humid here today. The power has flickered once already. Not really windy, but windier than yesterday.

I have some prescriptions to pick up today.

2/3 litterboxes have been deep cleaned. ats have had their morning treat and they have all been outside and now they are all back inside. 2/3 are sleeping now after their "big adventures" outside.

** Daily swish/swipe in bathrooms
** Make bed
** Finish AM personal care
** 2 hour trip to phamacy & sam's shopping

CI / I'm alive!
D / mine is Declutter that's what I've been putting off.
I rounded up what to bag & box up last evening I'd done a quick sort.
Today I boxed and bagged it up and took it out to the shed.

Did a back yard walk about and set up the lawn chair and rinsed it off.

One more bo x got filled and is ready to go out too the shed on my next walk about.

I was up in the nite with a low / then went back to bed. up at 5:30 or 6:30 not sure did not have my glasses on
when I checked the time. Showered & washed & dried my hair in the nite.

Journaling & planning happened.
More wind today.
Unloaded some boxes of items to go in the fridge / diet sodas I stocked up as in 1-2 weeks we
have hot weather coming. Tore up the boxes.

My planner pages is half full of stuff I did already and it's now even ten yet.
Had the sniffles this morning.
I have a meal plan for today.
Pin the hem of pj's / create a phone pocket.
Next up / take one of the bags of sausage cheese dogs I flash froze to the basement freezer and do a walk about. x

Processed mail & requested LH to be taken off a list.

Home from DAR meeting, took dfriend V's 40-something dd who wants to join. That probably means I need to research, and just looked at her patriot, who is redlined meaning that his service must be proven. (A man with the same name was the one with the service.) Ugh. What have I got myself into?

Answered an HOA email.

I'm headachy and going to lie down a few minutes.

Well I am stopping procrastinating bleaching my hair. I am using a new brand as mine was on infinite back order. It was well reviewed. I have purple hair but my natural roots have grown out 5 or 6 inches and the dark color will not hold purple. It has been over a year since I last bleached. I had hoped the silver would have been more covering than it was. So I am going to be white blonde in 10 more minutes, the roots are quite light which is fine. I use a coloring shampoo that lasts about 6 weeks between redos and naturally fades out. I really like it on about week 2 or after second wash. We are getting ready to leave for North Carolina outer banks for weekend so the sun will help texture the color and then on the 18th we leave for England for our canal week and then a visit to Scotland for a few days and then a couple photoshoot. I just hope this doesn't make me loose too much hair. I will wash it and let it fully dry and then in the morning I will do the purple shampoo, I put it in dry and wait 45 minutes to wash out and then I will do a deep conditioner.

I am enjoying my summer so far. OK timer went off while writing. I have very blonde roots and a pale/lt blue bottom which I actually do not mind, it will get some visual texture to the purple. I am going to let it dry fully and then later tonight I will repurple with my shampoo. My last bleach was with the company I buy my purple from and it took the purple fully out of my hair and I was white blonde. I lost just a little hair which I am glad, my scalp tingled but didn't burn. I figure it is only hair and purple hair makes me happy and I get loads of compliments. The boys just found a spot I missed this is my roots, they said it looked like a poop stain (they are so kind), I already threw away my bleach. I think purple will cover it. Next time I must have someone help me apply it. I have my other bleach still on back order and I will keep it for the next time next summer probably. I may try to do that one little patch when it comes in.

I must get ready for this next trip as well as the one we leave for tomorrow. Tomorrow we leave to drive to NC and we will drive halfway and spend night in hotel and finish drive on Friday, we drive all the way home on Tuesday, so we are there, Friday evening, Saturday, Sunday and Monday and leave Tuesday morning. We will be in charge of one or two meals - providing and cooking for everyone. My father in law was coming but he is not feeling well and may not come which is sad. We were hoping to see him. It will be wierd being there without him - they are his cousins, we are the "kids" but this house and their beach is so amazing. I like to just go upstairs and sit on the third floor porch facing ocean, I can see, smell, feel the wind and listen to the waves while I enjoy a good book. Sometimes I sit on the beach under umbrella and I always make a sand castle once a year. We get home late on Tuesday, we have Wednesday and then we leave Thursday for England and Scotland for 2 weeks. So mad dash to do laundry and unpack and repack. My sister and her husband will meet us there with their friends who live in England and we are all 6 doing a canal boat together for the week. Then we are heading to Scotland for 3 days then back to our friends who live in England (different than sister) and seeing a show in the West End and then flying home. This is our third canal boat trip - really looking forward to it but also feeling overwhelmed.

DH and I are doing a couple photo shoot and I am trying to figure out what he can wear, I am buying him some sexy satin pajamas and a purple dress shirt with dress pants and will take some of his vneck tshirts, I have many things to take from my shoot 2 years ago but did buy one set to go with him and have a couple of requests for single shots that I missed. We hung my photos over my bed and over his desk - I am fully covered, it is like looking in a lingerie catalog, just a little sexier - the boys rarely come in our room anymore (adult men age 27 and 31) and youngest said, mom please don't put you and dad on the wall. LOL. I personally would very much like them there and maybe that will entice them to move out. MS we just bought him a lot down the street from us and he is working on saving up a downpayment to build a house he has picked out - like ours - a modular build but not over a basement. Nice starter home with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. YS still needs a living wage full time job with benefits.

Need to catch up on all of your news. Hope you all are doing well. Just saw 2 posts, Twins what do you do at a DAR meeting and glad you are alive Nancy - will try to read up on everyone else soon.

MS has our patio garden looking nice. The roses I bought that were supposed to smell great, really do smell great! He has designed a candybar that no one else has ever made, he calls it Cocobroma - it is cocoa butter flavored with a non chocolate secret ingredient combo that makes the most luscious bitter sweet caffeinated bar. We have had the pleasure as his testers. The first one was amazing but he didn't write down the ratios but the secret ingredient is quite expensive. Through much trial and error ( we get a new batch every other day) He has figured out how to recreate the main ingredient himself which makes it much more affordable to make.

I have been going to the Y for exercise often, I have spent 1.5 weeks organizing a High Tea Themed funeral reception for a dear parishioner that died with only a very overwhelmed daughter left so I took on the task. Now I really want to do my own High Tea Party on August 1. That was so fun. I have done a little tutoring, caught up on some tv shows, I am planning our travels for next year after dh retires. I also proposed 3 conference sessions to teach end September/early October for our state conference (I was requested as it is my last conference (probably) still uncertain what I want to do in retirement other than see the world. I am very active in my church but I was that before I retired.

There you are, Costumelady. We'd been wondering where you were! Have fun on the upcoming drive.
LOL. I personally would very much like them there and maybe that will entice them to move out.

A quiet day here, some gardening. Have determined some woodland/volunteer plants to protect. Hmmm... .. do I need little fences?

A good brunch - maybe a little too much - has me realizing that lunchtime is a surprise to me, but HRH is hungry.

Like Nancy, I had been up in the night. For me, bad dreams, but very hot in the house, too, which probably contributed. That may have continued to keep me off-schedule.

Next up -
reorder scripts
flip of laundry
put away dishes

Tomorrow some bday gifts start arriving and so gift wrapping will need to be on that agenda.

Weekend - Bday party Sunday afternoon

About the weekend - Interestingly it is NOT Father's Day for another week (last year it had been the 16th, so I was expecting about the same time). Yet, I have a real desire to get HRH's present ordered ... .. I may choose to be early. I'll need to light a fire under him, though, because I intend to purchase what he wants, not "almost" what he wants.

I finally remade the bed.

I've been moving "stuff" around. I was clearing the far end of the island and dh called out "NO!! Don't expose the island!!" Of course we both laughed.

Ironing board has been moved out of library and back in here. I immediately put 3 piles of books on the one end and a large storage box with baking pans on the "pointed" end to hopefully discourage the small cat from getting up there.

Still waiting to hear from pharmacist. I think I'll just drive over there.
