Seedling # C84. An advanced generation hybrid. Parentage: ‘Quitzin’ x ‘Liboria Maass’. First bloomed 2008, first propagated 2009. DOUBLE. Warm light pink washing over a creamish yellow which in the viewed landscape gives an impression of a golden glow. Rounded guard petals, average 3 inches (8 cm) in width. Normally one flower per stem, occasionally a sidebud. Fragrant. Two to six carpels, grey-green colour, sparsely hairy. Stigmas dark red. Stamens, pollen, and seeds. Medium green foliage, leaflets medium width, pointed. Height at maturity 3½ feet (105 cm). Blooms early to early midseason. Selected for its exceptional flowers, robust growth, and overall aesthetic proportions in all its parts. Named for an ancestor.

Good morning Trissie and thank you for starting us off. A very pretty paeony, but at 180 euros, I don't think I'll be getting one any time soon!

I got a.lot.done yesterday, mostly little jobs ( I'm still waiting to see if my fix on the connecting hoses for the water butts was successful, but the initial signs were promising. So .. I was late to bed and late up, so this morning was a bit of a rush. However I was OTD almost on time,.I've hoovered the car and now I'm waiting for MQ to come amd open the church. It's cold and rainy again, but apparently it's supposed to be nice and sunny.at the weekend. I'm glad I got so many outdoor jobs done yesterday, when it was at least mostly dry!

I’m up way too early. I think I got too warm under the covers. Today is chores, working on the yard, and dd1 is off work so we may try to get out and do something for fun later.

Bama, I hope you have a fun time with DD#1.

Helia, congratulations on the weight loss! Congratulations also to DNiece LP - she sounds very talented.

I like to get to church early, as I can run any errands in town beforehand when it's still relatively quiet, hoover the car and also walk down to the vets/ the Y when I need to pick up / drop off items. Arriving early also has parking advantages, especially ATM when with a firm installing a bathroom in a nearby house (the vicar has given permission for them to park their vans in the churchyard as parking on the road is very limited) it turns into a giant game of Tetris!

We also had a chap who had just been made homeless turn up at our church today, in great distress. I don't know the full story, but he was obviously educated and very frightened, and didn't appear to be either drunk or high (relationship breakdown, perhaps?). So we fed him with coffee and cake. Fortunately the vicar was taking the service today, so he had a long chat with him and then made some phone calls. Hopefully he's been able to get him into some kind of emergency accomodation.

On the way home I stopped off at Morrisons as I needed an extra geranium plant, and also took the car to the revamped jet wash. Much better, more bays and properly laid out and with security keeping an eye on things.

There's still a feeling of rain in the air, and it's still decidedly chilly for June, but I did manage a few minutes in my front garden when I got home. Having a very late lunch while I decide what to do next!

Morning all. Bama I hope you can rest a bit later if it was up too early for you.

Kittykat enjoy church. Oh I see you did. Blessings for helping the man. We had one kinda like that come round a few years ago. Left a bunch of stuff in the church while he traveled. I can't remember if he came back for it. Those are the ones who need our help.

Helian looks like you are settling in ok with your company. Are there more coming yet, when do ds and ddil and baby come? I just realized she must be almost a year? Oh wait fall? I don't remember...

Well I'm up. Dressed. Sitting here convincing myself to go out and turn on the water for the garden. I think some stuff might be just germinating now. Finally I think we're past frost but it's June 11? A few days have been better now maybe things can recover.

Yesterday was productive. Mostly decluttering and dusting. I found some new summer clothes that fit. Groceries.

Today's ideas. Finish laundry. More details. Vacuum. I could shampoo. I could clean windows outside. I feel confused it's Thursday and I don't have to work. I do on Saturday tho. I should probably do some music prep cause he did songs early. Not as big a deal cause I'm on flute.

And maybe when my yarn comes I will clue in more. I ordered lavender and a pink/ Grey white ish mix . I have white and Grey and cream. Plus there's teal and green and some different yellow. I have tons of baby yarn. Just boy colors or not enough to make girl in anything the same yarn. I should have maybe ordered pink solid too. Tried using up my softee cotton. It's a pretty mint sage green. But no where had any girl colors left. I'll make a sweater or something maybe with that.

I guess that is how the yarn collection grows lol . I think I found most of mom's.

Jumping in after a LOOONG - nearly 9 hours sleep. Had a nice breakfast with DD and DGD:) Now it's time to move but we have crazy heat. Walk with pup will need to be indoors.
