Re: Shirley Temple Peony Sunday
The Shirley Temple peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Shirley Temple') is a world-renowned, award-winning herbaceous perennial famous for its massive, sweet-scented double blooms. Named after the iconic child actress, this classic garden favorite produces large puffball flowers that open in a soft blush pink before gradually fading into a pristine ivory white as they mature.
The flowers are massive double blooms reaching 4 to 6 inches (10–15 cm) in diameter. They are highly productive and carry a sweet, distinct fragrance. The leaves are deep green andglossy, and form a robust, attractive clump. Shoots emerge with striking red and orange tones in early spring.
Shirley Temple grows to an established height and spread of roughly 80–90 cm (approx. 3 feet). It blooms from late spring to early summer (typically May to June). Shirley Temple is fully hardy, low-maintenance, and known to live for decades in the same spot once established.

Good morning everyone and happy Sunday!
Just my usual quick Sunday morning CI, as we need to be OTD early for church, so I'll hopefully BBL. Have a good day, everyone!

◕‿◕ * * * Good Morning! * * * ◕‿◕
Kittykatt, thanks for the start. Have a good time at church, hoping to see you later !
I hope laura can rest and relax today.
helia that is a lot of people !
trissie I hope your garden is becoming ready for the party
Dogged, glad you were back home in time when thunder started, and had a good time talking with your DB.
Hi Bama !
Very sunny yesterday and today, it should stay so for the whole week. I need to prepare a bit for my job interview (Tuesday). Also MrNG and I are trying to plan our sommer vacation more precisely, before everything is entirely booked - most places are "full", already. We will be in the Pyrenees mountains, probably with a stop at Toulouse on the way and maybe another by Bordeaux on the way back. Maybe not tent camping this summer, it adds constraints when packing the car and moving between spots... much is still undecided, especially as a job change could add constraints to the planning.
TADAs
talked with MrNG
breakfast for all
TODO next
brainstorm the job interview, search for info around several items
check the details (where to park for interview, what should I wear)
prepare lunch, at some point
also
email DSisOlder (belated birthday)
home tasks, I didn't get much done this past week
plan ahead for the upcoming week, post list before tonight
time with the kids, not sure what, yet

Re: Shirley Temple Peony Sunday
Why oh why are my lists the same every day? Oh, probably because most of them are repeating items, and the once and done are just not done because of the repeating ones that do have to get done, but still!
Busy day ahead. There's a scout picnic that DBD wants to attend (not DS), and she has a birthday party right after that. Garden is mostly fine, but DH wants to assemble the new trampoline (the old one has a ripped safety net, and replacing it would cost almost half of the cost of the whole thing, because there was a sale going on, so we bought a whole trampoline and will keep the old one for spare parts). I need to deal with laundry, because that makes master bedroom untidy, work in my veggie garden and deadheading, and do several rounds of strays hunting both inside and outside. School runs for two more weeks, meaning there's still homework and tests next week. I really want to step out for a bit, but it's just not happening!
Frenchie, I hear you on planning vacations! We have the main parts planned and booked, but I wanted to take the kids somewhere by myself just before end of summer and I can't bring myself to schedule it. Of course, just like you with the job change, I don't know what will happen with the MIL situation, which makes planning harder.
Bama, good morning or good night to you?

Re: Shirley Temple Peony Sunday
Good morning:)
Thanks for yet another lovely Peony image, Kittykatt. We used to have a couple quite similar to that one... (Plus, some pink and deep red....) And now, we have many varieties of hostas... Not quite the same effect
I see you have self care on your list - maybe if I put it on my list, it will happen?
trissie - at least, you have a list:)
I have a terrible time gauging how long things should take, therefore my lists are quite useless...
FFly - I tried to find the "members only " area you referred to yesterday and failed. Hope MrNG is OK.
Waving to Bama
It's pouring outside. I got up extra early so I could take pup for her walk before gym... Not happening. (thankfully, she'd been out in back before the rain came.
I survived the first part of the weekend. I had my youngest DGD till last night, the others left earlier. My main floor needs a lot of work (craft materials all over my island). Giant laundry pile (bedding and towels ) upstairs waiting for me.
Today we have recitals for them and, I have a morning gym class. I think it's a bit cooler, so we can walk later, when the rains stop.
Starting with
meds
D2ex
start lol
feed pup
eat a bite/take med
PUPAs (as much as possible)
Go to gym
