Here is wisdom from blessed to remind us we can have a day of big adventures:
Little routines keep us moving forward
little exercises keep us flexible
taking time to read a little, learn something new keeps our brain engaged.
starting with a first stitch can lead to an outfit being made or a quilt being finished.
one stroke of paint lead to beautiful artwork.

We don't need to do a big project - big projects are just a series of little steps.

How about today - how can you keep things simple and joyful without pressing yourself to "do it all"

Making small steps forward leads to big adventures -

My Summer Retreat Weekend /
Working on getting a shallow tote a bit at a time unload it
rinsed it out
fill it with water & Epsom salts add vinegar.
Get doggo in to soak feet for a bit. { that is it's own challenge.}
Each micro step is progress.

Same with working on the pj's I'm hemming,
pin placement
redo pins placement
measure
re- measure
Cut take old hem off with enough fabric to re- attach
cut off excess off main part of garment.
Pin on for placement to get ready to reattach.
More small steps.
I'm done to here. . .
Decide if machine or hand stitching is best.

Then work on pocket [s].

I've gone to get groceries this morning. Came home and boiled 10 eggs. (8 for the potato salad and 2 for me). Cooked breakfast for dh after I gave him his meds. Peeled and chopped the eggs and now the salad is in the fridge.

There is a CFL game with the Toronto Argos, so dh is watching that. There is also a Blue Jays game on this afternoon.

I really need to get to the litter boxes. After I went outside and picked some rhubarb, I came in and I knew what job was next on my list.

I also had a chicken sandwich and used up the leftovers from last night's BBQ chicken.

Finished up the entire refrigerator. All three remaining shelves and their bins taken out at the same time, washed in the sink, walls washed. Door organized.

After this chore, what I do is, I take a photo.

Does that make me silly?

I really need to get to the litter boxes. After I went outside and picked some rhubarb, I came in and I knew what job was next on my list.

Cathy, I, too, had no confusion about the rest of the fridge being my "Next Up" when I went out to the garden and came back inside. The information wafted to me.

Nancy, I enjoyed seeing the micro-steps that will get you to a sewing finish and a pair of cozy pocketed PJs for reward.

Poor ((ddoggo)) suspicious of that footsoak. :?

Product review... :) In trying to be helpful, HRH bought a new-to-me product of 2 Fe breeze fragrances of sprays for, I guess, bathroom? I had asked for regular Fe breeze like in the cleaning products dept, for rugs, etc., unscented. These were inexpensive, he says. They are okay. Bora Bora (floral) and Linen-Sky. They make him sneeze, which isn't helpful. I would say the scents are sort of "heavy" and definitely linger. I am used to Ly sol sanitizing spray that is unscented, so I guess I'm not a good judge. I like not knowing about a spray - not having enough evidence to be sure it was there, lol. But nothing really wrong with these. Pretty containers would look nice to guests.

I had lunch
Clipped the rest of doggo's nails did a paw inspection for her.
Knitted 3 rows
Napped
Took ddoggo out for a break.
I remembered to thaw out dinner.
Thinking what's next.

I've been enjoying yt of what people from diff. country think of USA one funny was a guy
drinking the gravy for the biscuits & gravy!

How ranch dressing is like crack and a guy not knowing how to dress for the changing weather in the mid - west was
so funny!

-----
After dinner
Switched the front yard sprinkler the one I use by hand with the back yard one and it's better.
It's a nice evening winds have died down. I watered the front lawn and the back yard beds.

Ddoggo has been sleeping a lot.

I actually did some work in the kitchen — dusted the blinds with the Swiffer, which is not a “deep clean” at all, but better than it was. I wiped down all the countertops, cleaned the crumb tray on the toaster, put the kids’ clothes away. (They were folded but sitting on thd countertop.)

All in a snafu with Amazon. Sigh. Ordered personalized shirts for dgrands with Revolutionary War ancestor’s name and dates. Put wrong dates — because I used info from cousin who has wrong info. Ds all aggravated bc I didn’t ask him. I did tell him I was waiting on cousin to get back to me— why didn’t he tell me then to let HIM get back to me???
Cousin is using info which was well-accepted in family circle around here for years, decades. THEN, another relative went into ancestry.com dna records and proved first info wrong.
Twins — this is something that gives genealogists nightmares:
Apparently the lady who did the original work discovered that her grandparents were first cousins and was very embarrassed by this info. Ds says it appears she just INVENTED a second brother further back in the lineage to separate her grandparents. She was so proud of her war ancestor but didn’t want to tell the story with this family “secret.”
There is factual proof of everyone in the list (census records, grave sites, etc) except this one person.
Soooo — I canceled the order, but customer service is trying to resubmit it with the correct dates. \o/
