Good morning

I was outside at sunrise enjoying the cool air. It was a perfect time to get a few things done. Later on today it will feel like an oven, but the mornings and evenings are enjoyable.

DH is smiling BIG TIME. I put a battery in his lawn mower and showed him how to start it (press orange button, hold bar). He is walking behind the mower smiling as if he won the lottery. :) Five days ago he was curled up in a ball and didn't know who I was. Watching him recover is priceless.

I'm hoping to have a day at home. It hasn't happened yet this week but maybe today is that day!

Hi Twins' Mom! Thank you for a fantastic start to our Friday!!

I already have the dishwasher loaded and turned on. A couple of pots are full of hot, soapy water and there are sharp knives in the sink.

We are having leftovers for supper. I am going to the local quilt/yarn shop to spend 3 hours in a cold room doing some stitching and trying not to yell at one of the other women who just talks and talks and talks from before she walks into the store until she walks out. Thankfully she has told us (repeatedly) that she will be away on the last Friday of July.

I'm sure it is possible to OD on homegrown tomatoes, but hopefully I won't. When the garden started producing, I started eating tomatoes once a day....then a couple times a day and now I want to eat them with everything. Breakfast is a plate of chopped tomatoes surrounding a mound of cottage cheese in the center of the plate. Tis the season.

The declutter mode is calling me. I want to clear out at least half of everything. It is a HUGE undertaking that will take months. I want to do it while I am able and eager. But first.....Taking care of myself......monitoring DH is top priority....keeping food prepared for multiple meals & people,.... keeping up with monthly/weekly/daily routines.....
When am I going to have time to declutter? hum....

LOL, Cathy. My friend V told me yesterday that dh had said that one or the other of our house guests this week was ALWAYS talking. I feel slightly vindicated in my hypersensitivity this week. It's not just me. And then I had dh talking too. It was relentless!

I'm going to s2s next. We're going to services tonight and out for dinner with A and V.

Our Friday group knows absolutely everything about this woman, her husband, all of her children, including her adopted children and children she has fostered. We know all the details of her grand children and every pet in the entire family. We also know that she doesn't travel. She makes fun of anyone with an accent. She also counts out lout when she knits. On top of all that, she hums in the bathroom. Non stop noise. UGH!!

PSW is here.

Sweet! The neurologist office in big city called for appointment to come to our home. The nurse/technician will travel 1.5 hours one way to start the EEG on Monday (august 10th) and then will return on Friday (august 14) to stop the test.
Then a week later we will travel to big city for appointment with neurologist. This has taken months to get on the schedule. The neurologist that DH will see is only in office 4 hours a week at this location.
Rural medical care is mostly good, and in some cases better because the wait time is none or minimum. However, some specialist (neurologist) is sparse.

I prepared a plate for DH. He selected 3 types of meat with a side of potato salad.

I went to fuel the truck drove the long way around.
Got 1/4 of a tank did not know how much to prepay for so it's up to 3/4 full now.
came & hosed it off. That's my major accomplishment today. Now I know how much it is for a 1/2 tank
from today experience. I can go back next week and put in more to get it full.

Walked ddoggo before I left.
Also worked on the zone desk duty.
I'm alternating with my various journals and planners between tasks.
That is making it even more fun.

It's cool in the mornings so that does help.

Good afternoon!

I did not get all my cards done yesterday, but I made a great improvement over what I've been doing. Not a whole lot done this morning. I did clean up my breakfast dishes and a few others, then I went to the grocery store with DC in tow to do checkout. Got croissants for tonight's dinner and a couple of sourdough loaves (they were smaller than I would have liked) for girls' night tomorrow. Then took DC to play practice. Just set a timer to remind me to pick them up.

So, two events this weekend -- the girls' night on Saturday, and on Sunday evening, we're going to a birthday dinner for an old college friend. This is probably the last time I will ever see him. He is driving, rather than flying, in from New Jersey because he is finishing closing out his mom's house. He'll take the last of the things he wants, then have an estate sale company take care of the rest. So he'll no longer have much cause to come to Cleveland, and I think the last time I was in New Jersey was when the girls were small, and that was just to drive through.

I should have lunch. I think I'm going to have some cream carbonara ramen that we picked up at the Korean grocery yesterday. I have gotten up to putting almost the whole spice pouch in. It is flavorful spice rather than just heat. After lunch -- let me look at the cards: Chair exercises, lunch dishes (of course), start a wash, fold yesterday's clothes out of the dryer, and that should take me to time to pick up DC, if I can even get all those done.

So glad your DH is doing well, LadyM! And glad you've got things going with the neurologist. Here, even though we've got doctors out the wazoo, it's hard to get in with a specialist. They see you on their schedule, not yours. Oh, gosh! That reminds me -- I've got to schedule an appointment with sleep medicine. My MyChart tells me it needs to be done, but it can't be done through MyChart. I do not want to run out of my CPAP supplies because I didn't get a new prescription.

I'm sorry you had to deal with the yappy woman, Cathy. BTW, I am envious of you having all the colors of floss. I am second-guessing some of my colors for the embroidery project and wish I could just sit and compare things. Oh, well. It's not like I embroider all the time.

I hope you get some quiet, Twins!

You're making great progress, Nancy!

Glad to see blessed's been able to peek in now that her mom's room is done!

Off to make lunch! Have a great day!
