The first time she came to my house, I vacuumed like a maniac and cleaned the back door with Old English polish, washed the storm door, cleaned the back outside entry with a Mr. Clean sponge... I was a nervous wreck. Now, as I told her once, "How the mediocre have fallen..."

Indeed. I get it.

lucylee and Kittykatt, my laundry answer to what I wash together would be about the same as Kittykatt's. I separate washcloths and towels from clothing, and that's both because I think of clothing that touches skin as something that needs extra care (more thought?), as well as Kittykatt's mention that towels might take higher temp. Also, they can become abrasive - that's how they're made - and I want to keep my clothing going as long as I can (smile), and will likely make clothes a drip-dry wash. About kitchen towels/potholders - I separate from people towels/washcloths, so they probably become the smallest wash I do, except for the toweling bath mat, which I wash by itself. That comes from the "How Clean Is Your House" program, from which I learned the sink carries so many germs.

Oh dear, now I have to go do some sink scrubbing.

Nancy, I very much enjoyed seeing the results of your sewing retreat. Pretty, cute fabrics, Christmas in July thoughts. You do a good job of arranging for photography.

Feeling better this a.m. after sleeping an oddly long amount of time. I'd thought I wouldn't be able to sleep since I had such a quiet day yesterday and napped.

HRH wants to go out on errands and seems to have forgotten we WERE going to go on a quick destination trip, too, which ENTICES me. Hmmm... .. can I rein that previous reason back into view... ..

We'll have company again tonight for dinner. I did my instacart cart order last for delivery this morning, set my alarm to be up at 7:30, and have walked the dog already.

Need to be in shower next, I have body work in a little less than an hour.

(((Hugs))) I hope it works out well for you both in the right timing.

This past weekend moving came up in the conversation. DS52 reminded me that they haves a suite available in their home for us to move into. I light hearted replied that I would need a garden and he said they have plenty of acres for that. Unless things drastically change in our lives, we will stay where we are while raising DS17 and DD15. After that phase of our live is over then this house will be too big, and I will be ready to move somewhere else.
Note to self - DECLUTTER now!

We have a day with no appointments. This is a day that I can plan my hours and have a chance of actually being able to follow the plan.

DS17 has a friend living here for a couple of weeks while his parents are in transit with selling/buying a home. It doesn't really affect us much - having extra teenagers here all hours of the day/night has become our normal.

Top priority today is to get DD15 a phone. Her current phone is not connecting to cell service or wifi reliably. The phone technician switched it from using physical sim to esim but that didn't solve the problem. We do have an extra phone here that DS17 used before he switched to a phone that he bought from a friend. We are in the process of charging it and wiping to factory reset status. I'm 95% sure that phone will be DD15 replacement phone. If not, then I will be buying a phone today.

Best wishes to those considering change. We were thrust early into a downsizing decision (which was a surprise that we would ever change at all). We rushed to accomplish it. And it has been 5 years. I already had a relationship with this house, which made it a little easier. We decluttered like crazy but are still sort of crowded here.

We went out on errands only, but it was helpful. Prescription pickup and groceries. Several things I reached for and pulled my hand back as though bitten by the price. My goodness. A few things were on special and that was nice to find.

I can still consider enticing things, just look forward to them.

In the mail (we didn't look the box yesterday) an official letter from the state saying HRH has unclaimed funds. He will get a check in 7 weeks. I wonder why, if they have determined this is correct enough to inform him, it still requires 7 weeks? Oh well. He suspects this is from monies he was due when he worked for the bakery division of An. Busch and it's been sitting in some bank acct undispersed. But we won't know until receipt.

So, recommendation - this letter suggests people check with their state unclaimed funds division just to be sure there's nothing that might be found. For us it is evidently handled under, "Dept of State Treasurer, Unclaimed Property Division".

I'm home from body work and getting started here. Lots to do today. I need a honey do list for dh too. Despite a request yesterday, he still hasn't emptied the cooler on the porch from Sunday evening. He said he' will help with peeling and slicing peaches too.

First up is to get the breadmaker going to make challah. Need to start roomba too.

Today's feels like temps are 105-115F range. There is some silliness going around about using the mailbox to cook a pan of lasagna.

I got DH set up using battery lawnmower early this morning before it got too hot. He got some exercise in the shade while breathing fresh air. He was pleased with the effort and wanted to do more. We will hold off on anymore outside exercise until about an hour before sunset when it is cooler.

Brought the can back from the road & rebooted it for next week it's
half full of branches now.
Had my lunch.
Duds are in the dryer now.
Trying something diff. one load a day for now instead of all of the loads in one day.
I did a bit of drawing today.

Proofing to sew a few more seams.

I have challah in breadmaker. Dh took care of the soft drinks left on the garage and the cooler, and he slice the peaches. I'll have the peach cobbler ready to go when challah comes out of oven. I rebooted the laundry and folded the load from the dryer and put away. Made the bed since the dog was outside.

Whoops....later. Bread is shaped and rising. I'm trying to give away the yeast packets that Instacart substituted to anyone in the neighborhood. Have done a bunch of stuff. Resting until time to put challah in oven, then will get the cobbler together. Dh bought "carb smart" ice cream to go with it.

Just checked temp here. The Weather Channel app has been somehow switching me to a city in OK that has the same name. It's ninety-one here, one hundred and three there...
