Happy Sunday PWYC

Post by Twins' Mom »

French novelist Gustave Flaubert on happiness:
The secret of being happy consists of knowing how to enjoy yourself—enjoy being at table, in bed, enjoy standing up, sitting down, enjoy the nearest ray of sunshine, the slightest bit of landscape: in other words, love everything.

Happy that I have power and there are no heat or wind advisories just air quality one.
But it's better than last evening.

mom threw up out of the blue after taking her meds - we gave her furosemide last night bc she was coughing so much - she should have had it this morning or yesterday morning - something is wrong with her meds for sure. poor mom! I felt so so bad for her.
I moved the hose - I have been watering every three days in each zone - We haven't had rain for 23 days - unusual
I feel bad for the farmers and the animals/birds
it is always a joy to be here with you!

What a quiet day in our corner of the village! I'm still snarkily writing the email to DAR genealogists. Frustrated with this.

Dh is going to the temple board meeting that is this afternoon. V will be there also, and we're meeting with A and V for an early dinner after.

Oh no, bw2. I'm so sorry she's feeling so bad.

~~~~Waving Hello to all~~~~
Where is Cathy?
We went on a mini adventure this morning that included lots of friend interaction and food being brought home. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.
We are settling into summer mode. We stay outside until it gets near 100f feels like temp then we stay inside. I still walk outside most hours, but it is only for 3-5 minutes each hour so low chance that I get overheated.
I've cleaned out the refrigerator and restocked it. The only thing thrown away was some pasta salad that everyone had grown tired of. Currently ready-to-eat options are chicken breast, pork belly, hot links, brisket, pulled pork, wagyu beef, potato wedges, and mac/cheese. I plan to cook some potatoes in the instant pot this afternoon so those will be available to eat loaded or use as ingredient in side dishes the next couple of days. I'm using vegetables as my side dishes but the family won't touch a vegetable. We are a house divided as far as side dishes go. They want high carb dishes while I prefer vegetables.
I have had my lunch cooked a hb patty on a bun & cooked Calif. for my side.
It was tasty. I was going to have a no cook meal but did not thaw it out in time for lunch.
I've just flipped it to dinner and that will work just fine.
Low key day on purpose here to rest.
Boise the southern part of the next state over 300+ mi. from here has purple the worst hazardous I think they call it air
quality. Not fun for them.
We ate out for supper - burger for me, salmon burger for dh - with A and V. I love spending time with them. It's rare to find friends like them that we both like and are so comfortable being together.
Dh is going out of town on Tuesday a.m. to Thursday afternoon or evening. I'm looking forward to a quiet week. Two workouts, one body work session, the rest will be quiet hopefully.
Trying to get in here again.
I tried my best to have a day of rest. A few nights ago I had a very tearful "breakdown" telling dh I'm sick of trying to be Superwoman. Today he tried to unload the dishwasher while I was napping. He didn't seem to know where some things went. That's okay, he tried. In another conversation that he didn't understand I told him I wanted to hire a housecleaner for a one-time deep clean to help me re-set with a clean house. He thinks I want a weekly cleaning.
Between typing this a few times and not getting in and trying to rest and re-set my emotional state of mind, it's been a week.
Mow let's see if this goes through.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.
Paper never stops.
