Just do it!
“Who says you need to wait until you 'feel like' doing something in order to start doing it? The problem, from this perspective, isn't that you don't feel motivated; it's that you imagine you need to feel motivated. If you can regard your thoughts and emotions about whatever you're procrastinating on as passing weather, you'll realise that your reluctance about working isn't something that needs to be eradicated or transformed into positivity. You can coexist with it. You can note the procrastinatory feelings and act anyway.”
― Oliver Burkeman, The Antidote: Happiness for People Who Can't Stand Positive Thinking

I've s2s-ed and walked ddog two laps. Parts of a.m. routine done. I'll be heading out to my body work in just a minute. After, a couple or three errands....and home again.
Dh left about 7 a.m. this morning on his KY trip.

Good morning
Twins - Thank you for the start today.
Playing games works for me in some situations where I want to procrastinate. I know it takes me 12 minutes to shower and D2S. I use that information to make a game of it. If it is 7:10 when I start, then I try to be done by 7:22. It might be weird but it works for me. Otherwise, I can talk myself into waiting until later.....and the day goes by with me still waiting to do it.
DD50 sent me a long text this morning apologizing for the way she mistreated her family over the past 20 years. I get no joy from seeing her in emotional/mental pain from the memories. We all make poor decisions and have regrets. We can choose to start fresh today.
Today declutter project is the next kitchen drawer. I might do more than one drawer but I'm only committing to do one a day. There are 11 drawers in the kitchen so this will take over a week if I only do one a day. We will see how it goes. Having a declutter attitude helps in other parts of the house. I randomly see something and instantly decide it can go without it being the focus for today. It is a declutter action & success with no prior planning!

Good morning! Sitting in the dentist’s office waiting for DD. Wondering how much this is going to run; DD has no dental insurance, or at least none that our dentist will accept. However, our dentist’s prices are quite reasonable, so I’m happy (thus far) to pay.
Have not gotten anything done in the house today. DD wanted to play a new game as soon as I finished breakfast, and I got a text from a friend asking if I could swing by her house to make sure her a/c was on for her dog — she’d heard there’d been a power outage. So we left a little early for the appointment. Afterwards, we may stop at the DQ across the street.
DC has a concert to go to tonight. DH is, indeed, willing to make the drive. Although maybe DC should do the driving themself; their driving test is tomorrow, and if they had their license, we’d probably have them go themself, although it is a long drive. Then again, if they do it, they may have an appreciation of how long it is.
I keep track of my times, too, LadyM, and sometimes tell myself I can get something done in x minutes, so I just do it, as Twins has urged us! I’m sorry for your DD’s pain, but I hope that it may mean whatever treatment she has may be working enough that she is able to take stock of her past rather than just trying to survive minute by minute.
Waving back to Nancy!
I will have to check and see what’s up with Cathy. Does Harriet have doctors today?

My appointment for body work is next week. Got there, he wasn't there, so texted him to check. I was thinking this a.m. that I was surprised that I wasn't as achy as I am some weeks. So I went ahead and ran errands: CVS, post office, gas in the car, and car wash. Since getting home I've had my brunch and the ddog spent some time outside.
We have a heat advisory today so it will be a good day to be staying in.

Hi!
I woke up and gave dh his meds and coffee, then I went back to bed and slept some more.
So far today I have done too much scrolling and emptied the dishwasher. The bathroom garbage also got taken to the back door.
All of last night's pots and pans are soaking. We had leftover spaghetti. Tonight will be chicken leg 1/4's, most likely on a sheet pan with potatoes and carrots.
We had another huge thunder storm last night. Lots of locals on FBook complaining.

I lost a post. Normally I highlight & copy it before hitting submit but this time I forgot to do that. Ohsss well, life keeps marching onward.
So far the transition from discover to capitol one is happening smoothly. Whoever planned it apparently know what they are doing. BRAVO for those behind the scene people who are experts in their field. Well done.
