Move past just surviving and thrive today!

Suggestions for thriving:
-focus on physical health, eat well, exercise, attend to sleep requirements
-develop social bonds (one thing the village is doing for us!)
-develop a sense of purpose and a positive outlook for the future.

I slept much of the day, yesterday, until 3 pm and then rested the remainder of the day (no work done and you can see the effects of having dogs in the house)- as I was up with d mom all night - a got a bit of sleep but most of the night mom was wide awake! She was wide awake all day yesterday as well-chatting all day! d helper chatted with her all day until she went home. Thank goodness.

I am keeping track of the events , on the calendar, as I see a trend with her meds. She has been strong and capable.

I heard her at 6:30am - I didn't know the monitor wasn't on so she may have been up a bit in the night time but I think I still would have heard her. This morning she was trying to get out bed bc she thought she had to meet dad down town for a meeting with the partners -
she woke twice thinking that she needed to get up and go downtown. When I told her that there was nothing on her calendar - she said "Thank God, I don't have to go anywhere" and fell asleep. It took her awhile to convince her but at least she is resting again - now 9 am.

a first job this morning: vacuum dog hair - I haven't vacuumed in three days now and it looks awful. I did brush the dogs.

I am blocked on go daddy - mmmm I can't post past here.

Hello, Thriving people

HRH's appt with new kidney dr went very well.

He is one of the practice's success stories and she did listen to his thoughts attentively. She thinks he needs to drink more water and I bet she's right about that. His vit d dipped, possibly because he spent so much time staying inside taking care with me. Easily brought back up. Otherwise everything looks good.

I'm waiting outside while he handles another errand.

Good morning

The first 3 hours of my day has been nonstop busy. It feels AMAZNG to move without pain.
It's time for me to stop, enjoy a glass of freshly brewed tea and regroup before starting again.

So many plates are spinning with small frequent encouragement and attention from me. Spending two minutes (or less) on each task on a recurring basis makes them easy to maintain.

I am going to set up a check off sheet for DH today for me to use on his evening routine. Ideally he could check the items off as they are accomplished but I don't have that high of expectations. I keep forgetting or get distracted and one or two of the eleven things he needs to do before going to bed are not getting accomplished. Hopefully this 8"x11" checkoff sheet on a clipboard will be the solution we need.

Reviewed tasks for August. They are all accomplished with the exception of ensuring DD15 lunch account had plenty to cover the next few weeks of meals. That was accomplished through an online payment.

DBro asked me to find a sprocket for his gas-powered pole saw. REALLY?! Like I know what a sprocket is or looks like. He has waaaaaay more confidence in me doing these types of things than he should. What is he thinking?! I did find a place online that sells parts for his chain saw (years old) and sent him the phone number to call. Hopefully he can talk on the phone with someone who has a clue and get the part ordered.

I need to get some food prep happening.
