Happy Monday!
Not caught up on posts, but if I tried to, I would spend all my computer time catching up and not posting my list, so... I will get back to it in my next break!
kittykatt, enjoy your appointment free week! How's your garden doing these days? Bet it loves the relief from the hot days!
oh my,
Dogged, a before bed pee and poo clean-up is NOT the way you want to get ready for a restfull night!
Back from my trip to Berlin. It was lovely, but I guess that now knowing till last minute whether I would be going or not - and Berlin being a back-up plan anyways as due to it being accesible by train it meant I could defer the decision till last moment, but my original plan for this year was London or Rome - I wasn't overly excited. I mean, I absolutely adored the "Cassirer and the Breakthrough of Impressionism" exhibition in Berlin Alte Gallerie - it features over 120 impressionist and modernist artworks and it would be well worth visit to the city by itself. I also very much enjoyed the Sanssouci castle and its gardens, and had a lovely trip (including a hike,
helia!

) to Wannsee, satisfying my history itch (I recently read a book that features the Wannsee conference). My hotel was in a lovely location, right in the center of Berlin, and I was lucky even in that my usual "visit a mess in the catholic cathedral" had the Berlin archbishop celebrating it and my favourite scripture reading (the two main commandments from New Testament) the center of it. But Berlin is just not my kind of city, I guess!
I think, however, that DS and maybe the twins would enjoy the DDR (East Germany) exhibition, so I may plan the visit there with the whole family. It's 4 hours on train, so really no big deal! Maybe next summer, when the Pergamon museum will reopen!
Anyways, it's back to normal now. Whatever normal means in this house!
