Hi bittersweet, have a nice day at work. An easy day I hope. And good morning Twins, I see your light on.
I have said goodbye to family and baby and dog after breakfast. DSiL's mother is here on vacation so they have to get back to see her, she is anxious to see the baby.
We had breakfast, I made some cheesey eggs and english muffins. DH had just enough time to go off to church, but I stayed home because I wasn't dressed for church and I think I'd fall asleep in the chair today anyway!
We did sleep in a little. At least DBaby did. She's such a sweetheart and at least this time we made a little progress with her not being so shy with me.
I've got dishwasher running, white lol soaking in hot bleach water, and guest sheets twirling. So there's a start. Another couple loads today and we'll be in better shape around here.
What's everybody doing this Sunday?

Good mornin' Bsweet and Harmony. Yes, up and about here, not much on the agenda for the day, thankfully! I think that dh and I will go see a couple of open houses today but other than that, I just need to do some catching up here at home.
SAD light clicked off:
-clear kitchen counters
-bring down laundry
-start a lol
-meds, vitamins, fill for week
-take meds/vitamins

I was very sorry to hear that Kathryn's family was hit with such shocking news about the cabins at which they have vacationed all these years/generations. Kathryn, when Norma's family's generational cabin burned in August you were very wise with good thoughts for her. I remember at the time I said retrieve photos and reproduce them, give them to family members, display them. If you or your sister have interior photos of your grandparents or parents there, even if the photo shows little of the surroundings, get them out and enjoy them, give them extra attention now. condolences to you, your sister, and your nephew, each family. It's a grieving process when a home associated with our grandparents is lost.
Dstepson has come to visit us this morning. I already knew I would be unable to get to church. I need to make this day into an extremely calm, quiet day for some restoration and recuperation around here. Nothing new or different, and my absence would be glaring. We are working toward helping my ddad recognize dstepson better, so that he could be one more person who could "sit" here, perhaps. As far as today's recognition of him went, not so good.

I'm still teary but getting better. One part of a hymn knocked the stuffing out of me in church. In spite of the fire, the staff still managed to pull off a wedding (while the lodge burned and weddings are usually set in the lodge.) And they thanked the community for all the support (best wishes, baking, food to feed the staff and guests.) So a hymn line about community supporting us when we are in trouble set me off this morning.
This resort employs 175 people in an area where jobs are limited. They've worked hard to turn it into a year-round destination (tough when winters can be harsh) and have special promotions all year but especially at Christmas and Easter. They were to host a music festival in November next year. So the loss to the community may be huge.
I've contacted a nearby resort to see if we can go there for 2012. We were booked for the last week of June, so elementary school isn't quite out yet and they may have a villa left. Dh and I stayed there in November one year (because I couldn't face the long drive into the resort in the winter), and this place is right on the ocean but also the highway. It has a full kitchen so we wouldn't have to use restaurants all the time and has great views. It is a reasonable alternative for one year. On the other hand, I feel disloyal even asking about availability. This is the last year with just the kids. By 2013, I'll probably have a grandchild.

Morning y'all...
Well I did sleep-in this morning. Not something I able to do on a regular basis. My body's clock usually doesn't let me. However, I had to rouse myself out of bed when I looked at the clock and it said it was 7:45. I do believe I could have slept for several more hours, but the thought of sleeping the morning away was great motivation to get up.
I decided to get dressed before I made my coffee and breakfast. Then I flipped a load of laundry and finished folding the dryer clothes after I made the bed. My habit has always been to bring clothes out to the kitchen and fold on my island or table. Then I end up walking across the house to put them away. Here in this house the laundry room is just across the hall from my master bedroom. I have a high bed and find it is a great place to fold my laundry. Plus everything is very close when I put them away. However 35+ year habits are hard to break, and I have to THINK about where I need to go. Sometimes I find myself headed to my kitchen with a basket of laundry when I remember I don't want to go there.
Doggies have been walked and dinner is planned. We're having meatloaf tonight along with baked potatoes and green beans...Sweetie will be pleased as it is one of his favorite meals. Think I'll bake a batch of cookies too. That will really make him smile....Maybe he will compare me to Mother Tresa too.
Enjoy your day...cya'll later.

Okay, Finished that round after a detour into a nap.
This time:

-clear kitchen table
-make the bed
-put away a very large basket of folded laundry
-get self dressed, brush up teeth, etc.

Wow, lotsa laundry being done in the village today.
I have 3 loads done and hanging. I take them out the master bathroom door onto the porch to dry them. Coming back in, I stop at the bed to fold. I've always used my bed to fold as the bedroom has always been close to the laundry.
One more load (towels) has to wait. No more space to hang things.
Dishwasher is ready to unload. I am going to go off and read a bit. I've done a manicure and a medicine and oil treatment on my hands. From all the work I've been doing they are dried up like prunes and I can hardly move my fingers. I use my liquid med. for eczema, then an oil treatment and I wear white gloves for a while. They feel better already and the oil is absorbed enough to take the gloves off.
I'm feeling like a nap, too. I'll bet the book will put me to sleep.
Kathryn, that is an awful thing for the Inn to get burnt down like that. I'll just bet your feeling is like mine was when my church got destroyed in the hurricane. I had just 24 years of memories there with my kids growing up, etc. Maybe they will rebuild, I hope so.

Oh No Kathryn! Sending hugs to you. I know the feeling. Not a good one. Carry on - things will work out.
We got home at 1:30 this morning and I am tuckered out. One thing - I walked and walked and walked. Not only on Maui (in the shopping malls

) but in the airports. OMG! San Fran is a BEAST. I didn't think I was going to make it but I did and then Reno too. I was never so glad to climb into that car and head home. Had a wonderful time!
COWINKIE and SWEETIE - we are on our way down on the 30th and will be in our place on the 1st of DEC. Could you maybe have some Meatloaf, Baked Potato and Green Beans waiting for us? Huh, Huh, Huh! YUMMO!

I will try real hard to have Hula Pie for you!

There is nothing better and all the restaurants over there have it.
Nice day all!
