I'm surprised at how thankful I feel that both my dkids will be home today!

I'm thankful I'm not at work today and have lots of options for the day. I just need to use my day wisely!

I'm thinking that the dkids and I will have pizza together tonight.

Like to do:
-upstairs stamping area clean up
-DH "office" start cleaning up
-perhaps some stamping?
-grocery for munchies for dkids, LOL.
-routines, etc.

What else?

Dh and I are still dithering over the new house....don't know what we'll do. I've decided I'm in - just need to get him on board, lol.

-clear kitchen counters
-clear kitchen table
-meds + vitamins, me + ddogs
-work on filling trash can in the garage up so it can go out.

Great theme for today! Thanks Twins! :)

I am very thankful to be feeling back to my normal self. Energy level is high and "bug" symptoms are gone.

Lilac - you sound so relieved to have the house buying decision settled. Hopefully things will calm down a bit and you can have success on preparing your home to sell, packing and moving.

Indiana - cheering for your continual finger success!!!

Today's PODA -
** trip to big town with several stops
** sign another paper @ lawyers office
** buy thanksgiving groceries (menu is planned and grocery list is ready)
** to doc office for DH shots
** then back home in time for LO nap and to continue working on this weeks focus area

39 = Completed SHE card count

"Holiday Grand Plan, 2011" thread is posted in The Creative Home forum, AND OF COURSE it's for EVERYONE to share accountability and excitement, whether using the plan or not. The link to HGP is there for the easy-to-use checklists and forms if anyone could use those right now, and btw,it's "Dining" week as you look down HGP's weeks, if that helps.

Happy Holidays!!!

Prepositions ok here, Twins.

I am thankful for a place in the sun to spend the winter.

DD & DH have gone 1 town south to get her oil changed and for dh to look at cars. Do we have a "shudder" icon? :? I don't want to even think of buying until NEXT fall!

So far I've s2s, breakfast, meds, made the bed, put away clean dishes, did the dishes and have the kitchen island cleaned off. Now going back out there to clean off the back counter. Then it will be on to the entry way and living room.

Can see some of dgd's 'attitude' creeping back in. Her therapist comes today and she saw her psychiatrist yesterday. DD finished painting dgd's room last night. Right now she's sleeping on an air bed, but dh will soon be constructing a 'loft' bed with a desk beneath for her. Then we have to figure out how to reconfigure her very small bath to accomodate a shower. DD told her that however they did her room -that's it for the next 5 years. Hopefully she 'got' it. DSonIL doesn't care for it -but it's a teenager's room. And it does look pretty in a way.

Garbage can was still not full but was pretty heavy, so I put it on out. Goal is to find things to throw out as often as possible - or failing that, things to go to Goodwill or ReStore.

Ds brought home a big bag of dirty laundry and threw them into the washer and dryer before going to bed last night. There was a bloodstained shirt which dh had treated with Shout and I just put in the washer to soak for awhile. Lots of blood - I wonder whose?

Okay, also returned two phone calls from yesterday.

-start dishwasher
-s2s
-make bed
-take stamping supplies upstairs (from stamping w dfriend a couple of weeks ago)
-sweep up deck and front porch (clean up!) before rain comes in again

I think ds is up.

I am thankful every bit of progress in getting back to normal.

Todays concentration is legible handwriting, better skills BUT at the top of the list is zipping and buttoning my jeans. They frown on not wearing pants and it is too cold.

Good morning! :)

Cuop late last night & it is so good to see you back home here in the village, Indi! :D

Love the theme for today, Twins. How wonderful that both kids are home for Thanksgiving!

So glad that you are feeling better, OKay :D

Thanks for posting the Holiday Grand Plan thread, Harriet. Will look at it when I come back later today -- it'll be my reward for all the work I hope to accomplish today!

Hi Dee, hope dgd is just having an off day. Sounds as though she was doing very well when she first came home.

Enjoy your time with dgd, Nancy :) .

I'm thankful that I don't have to be anywhere but home today; & also that my grocery shopping is done so I don't have to deal with crowds the rest of the week.

I'm trying something new. Normally I start decorating the day after Thanksgiving. Last night dh helped me bring down all the boxes from the attic & I am going to start decorating today. Hoping I can get it all done except for the tree & outside decor which we will do Friday. Then tomorrow will be a food prep & cleaning day. I'm excited about the reward of having a clean & decorated house the day after Thanksgiving; I've never in my life started this early.

Had an enjoyable day with dnieces & dnephews last week. They are such wonderful kids, & a joy to be around. Little one likes to toddle up to you when you are sitting, lay her head on your knee & hug your leg. Dinner was a hit, with youngest dn exclaiming, "YUMMY!" Something every cook loves to hear  . Lots of laughter & conversation, & I got to spend a little time talking to dbro, too.

We stopped by H ome D epot yesterday & noticed all the wreaths outside in the garden section. We walked over there first & I lingered for a long while just sniffing that glorious pine scent.

Better get moving. Funny, normally I decorate with Christmas music playing but I don't want to hear any until after Thanksgiving. Hoping that the Thanksgiving night shopping that is being offered by many stores this year is a bust so that it won't be done next year & store employees can stay home with their families instead.

Have a wonderful day! Waving ~~~~~ to all who stop by later :) .

I'm thankful Indiana is back and posting regularly. YGG!

I'm at volunteering but have got ahead of the person giving me work to do so taking a break so she can get back ahead of me. It is really quiet here today so the day is dragging.

In the afternoon I have a whack of errands to run, mainly to get decorations and paper products for the Christmas Concert (there's a dessert party after.)

Then we have to eat at 5 because choir practice is at 6:30 and last time, when we ate at 5:40 our tummies were too full to sing without burping!

When I left the house this morning, dh was singing with one of the men. They are doing a carol night the night after the concert so wanted to practice for that. So much music!
