My movin' is being on the treadmill to Trans Siberian Orchestra. It is lovely to hear the music again (although I cheated this year and used this as my workout music into March this year.)

I'm also movin' because I've pulled out all my seasonal socks (I'm a sock collector so have about 2 doz pairs of winter/xmas socks), put away my other socks and pulled out my Christmas jewelry too. I have a lot of jewelry that needs repair so that might be on my to-do list for the day. I toss it, as it breaks, into a little drawer and so the drawer is out on my bureau ready to go to the workroom.

Finally, the bed is stripped and remade. I won't get to wash the sheets for a while, no good line-drying days in the forecast yet.

I hope to get the winter tires on today, as well.

I have an abbreviated workout because singing practice starts at 8 a.m. I'm not apart of that unless I want to be but there will be someone in the house so no parading around nekkid or even in my workout clothes.

I'm in front of the SAD light this morning. We're supposed to have rain all day but I had planned this morning as an "out of the house" day while the cleaning lady is here. I'm going to get oil changed in my car, see if I can get my eyes checked and pick out new glasses, and do the emissions test on my Pilot for my tag renewal. May spend a little time near the mall - deciding about that.

Dkids mostly want $$ for Hannukah, but I've decided they should also have new gloves/scarf/hats and new winter pajamas.

DH has decided against the new house and I'm probably more upset that he seems to make decisions w/o my input than I am about the house itself. He has found another in the neighborhood that he wants to look at today - I'm probably not going along 'cause I'm kind of burned with his looking. (Perhaps you recall the phrase I used for it the other day....)

So I am going to focus on working on the playroom and rearranging for me. Perhaps I'll even spend some $$ on a new desk set up :) since we seem to be staying where we are.

Harriet reminded me last Friday that we need to look ahead on the calendar - and I realized then I have a busy week going and need to stay on task as far as getting other things done this week. DR appt for dmom tomorrow a.m. and then an evening meeting at temple, an all day tax seminar on Wednesday, followed by the temple board meeting, and a Friday a.m. meeting with temple and dinner on Friday night. Need to also schedule a bath for Moses and the annual bloodwork/check up for Macs.

For now, need to have breakfast and get rolling to be out of here later.

Skippable vent: I think the thing that makes me angriest is that dh was over at the house we were looking at w measurements of our furniture making sure things fit. Also making plans for it - a desk and extra storage here, new washer and dryer for laundry room. And what he finally decides is that back yard isn't good for ddogs when I believe it's do able. Urrrrrggghhhh!

After I opened this morning, I worked on another post and then lost it. I knew the second I messed it up, but too late then.

I am waiting for T arget to open. There are several things that I need to check the prices on before I go to W almart. These are things for the new house, not Christmas gifts. Dd2 is in charge of buying most of my Christmas for her kids. I have the money but not the time. She offered and I readily took her up on it.

Dd2 and the 2 little ones will be at the house today cleaning. I plan to finally start getting things moved. I hope to be able to stage this house and get pictures for the for sale by owner website, at least by the end of next week.

Better go...............

(((Twins))).

We're finally at the Gulf and had a (GASP) surprise when we checked in. Seems our reservations are until THURSDAY! Not very doable for us! DH is supposed to help DD at school with the Christmas float on Wednesday (when we planned to b e home) and all day Thursday. Now it seems we won't be going until Thursday morning AND DSIL wants to stop along the way. DH told DD last night and we're trying to figure out something????? Usually we go the day after Thanksgiving but there was 'no room at the inn' until yesterday. I would have driven our car if I'd had any idea. Besides I only packed clothes for through Wed. morning. Good thing I have all our meds with us. Would have dd come get us if it weren't so far. It's about 2 hours down here. Not sure if dh has told his db yet that we have a snag. I'm praying about the whole situation.

Have to go next door -dsil is fixing breakfast. Will try to pop in later.

Haven't cuop and only glanced at J&C. Later......
Begun is half done -SO! JUST BEGIN!!

Oh, (Dee). You guys need to figure out a way to say No to those things you don't want to do. Did your DH want to go on this beach trip? You do have the right to spend your time down here the way you'd like to.

(Twins) sorry about the house. Maybe your DH is like my Dh. He thinks out loud and I've given up thinking his chatter is the final decision. We've been going back and forth for almost 4 years about what kind of fence to put up around the back yard. 4 years and he still keeps changing his mind. We've had the same snafu over houses, etc. Now I step back, wait for the dust to settle, wait for final final final decisions before I get my heart set on something. Yesterday in the car trip back home I refused to discuss types of fence bushes, etc.

I'm moving in the house today, getting organized. I have last night's LOL hanging, another is spinning. I worked on my payroll and got that submitted for November. Helped (watched mainly, he wanted me out there) while DH changed front braked on Explorer. He's off to get new back brakes now as front ones weren't worn enough to cause the squeeling he was hearing.

Hope we see Indiana here today. Hope you are getting better.
Reply to Harriet from last eve: don't know if DSiL is grateful or not for all our work, he's so aggravated at the state of things he's hard to work with, we have to push him to help us with anything. DD is grateful, I know. Though she'd like to be finished, the disarray doesn't bother her as much.

Hi. I slept a healing sleep yesterday all day.

I have been stretching my abilities and needed the healing.

Today I'm going to move and push the envelope some more.

I have a edoctor appointment this afternoon. Just a followup with my GP.

Now I'm going to make cranberry bread.

My goals for today are to get through the day. I almost used the smile icon, but I am only feeling a Mona Lisa smile, so it was too much. HRH is back here with me now, and attempted to buoy my spirits by singing loudly as he carried in groceries, nonsense song while I shushed him, trying to keep my ddad asleep. He brought a milkshake, though, and wanted to wake him up anyway for a new, better start. We had two very rude awakenings in the night and a hard morning, so I have a 5x5 but I may do it this evening.

Lynlee, my mother went to college in that part of SC and the geography story the lady went through was about verbatim what she heard the locals enjoy telling in the 1930s. So the lady was not so naive as she seemed on that show, but probably had enjoyed telling this for many years! A lovely area, I also had a cousin go to college there and stay 20 years because he enjoyed the people/place so much. The lady was not exaggerating her speech, however, since those are, of course, all the correct pronunciations. ;)

I knew several of the memory-items you mentioned. Blue bag? Is that "bluing"? 108 at Christmas is something I can't wrap my mind around, but you probably shake your head at the whole "white Christmas" idea!

Indiana your kitchen smells delightful.

Glad Dee had safe travels.

Neglected to say, Lynlee I am so sorry to hear your granddaughter broke her arm in 2 places. I hope it was not at a joint but breaks within the long bones and easily corrected with time. Poor thing, must have been painful.

Dee: Rent a car and go home!!! And anytime they suggest anything again - Say NO!! Please don't let them push you around.

We have been to park beautification and DH helped clean the roadside while I raked the cacti beds with some others. It was fun as many hands make light work.

Now we are going to get ready to go to Surprise and a club luncheon. Then a bit of shopping. Then home to happy hour at friends' house. It will be a social day.

Tomorrow is our moving day as we will head for the lot, another luncheon and pack more "stuff" from the sheds.

TTFN

PS: So glad to see Indiana here.
