Good Morning!

LO is definitely improving. His fever did go up early this morning around 3am but the congestion is much less and we both rested well. I'm developing what I suspect are beginning symptoms of his virus. For now I'm ignoring the achy feeling all over, the runny nose and headache. Maybe I just am having delayed sympathy pains for him.

Regardless of how my body feels this morning, I am full of energy from thoughts of how I am going to tackle a couple of projects.

OKay, you are always so positive! You're such a good role model for your family and the village.

I'm dragging this morning - late night, my feet ache from the new shoes, and a tiny bit of a hangover. A very nice evening all around, tho. Danced a little, too! (Wonder if Indiana was doing the limbo last night at her beach party?)

I need to get moving, altho I'd much rather go back to bed.
-meds, vitamins for me and ddogs
-reboot laundry
-clear kitchen counters
-bring down dirty laundry from upstairs (like moving Mt Washmore)
-straighten family room

DMacs was okay last night - no more throwing up - but was very upset about the withheld supper. I'm assuming/hoping that it was just something random and I went ahead and gave him the meds with his food this morning. Yes, Harriet, would have been nice to start meds on a Sunday night or Monday in case questions arise. He's also to be rechecked in 14 days - since he started meds on a Saturday, I hope he can go 16 days to Monday for the recheck.

I also need to be drinking water today.

Good morning!
We went to college basketball game yesterday -- that's why I was AWOL all day -- and then last night went to a movie -- Haywire. DH liked it, but I didn't understand a thing that was going on & slept through most of it.

We're skipping morning church today, but tonight we're going to a cowboy church about an hour away, w/ds & ddil. DS is singing w/a group at that service. I'm looking forward to that b/c we've never been to anything like that.

I've got a LOT of things I need to do today, though.
[ ] reconcile checkbook/statement
[ ] lesson plans and grades in computer
[ ] laundry
[ ] CVS
[ ] dinlaws

I'm sooo glad dLO is feeling better, OKay, but I do hope you are not coming down with this virus! (((BIG HUGS)))

Hope you and dMacs have a good day, too, Twins!

My ddad slept in and slept in, with the rest of us pushing a lot of morning routine back and wondering, and finally it was 9:45, unheard of for my ddad. So I went and awakened him. He said he was lying in bed trying to go back to sleep because he thought it was late evening from the light coming through the blinds. He was very disappointed in himself for mixing up days and nights. For the rest of us, the situation basically kept anyone who could have made church, home. Again. I am becoming a non-fixture in the pew, having only been able to attend once since the beginning of the year.

I hope the children in Kathryn's Sunday School class had fun fishing.

OKay, I had looked up mucus in children's throats yesterday for you but I didn't find anything you probably did not already know so didn't report. There was a mention that honey and ginger mixed into warm water was sometimes helpful. I am convinced that I recently read that milk products were NOT proven to be mucus-producing as previously suspected, so when I saw site mentioning that I was skeptical that they were up-to-date.

Morning Dailies are done. The microwave did get cleaned and the floor mopped. Cicely was on the nest, so I'll have to go back later to gather - I'll listen.

Errand thought processes (very usual) -
Today I need to make a run by pharmacy #1, and dd has 2 things to return a little farther away in that direction - a top and a set of markers that were dry right out of the package. In a completely opposite direction, I wish I could get by the vitamin store, so trying to think this through. No matter what, we need a few things from the grocery. If I leave pharmacy and head toward vitamins, the healthy grocery is on the way. Also no matter what, HRH will be stuck here, so I need to make it quick.

Yes, Harriet, the kids did seem to have fun. At least they didn't get into too much trouble and I had more than enough material to get to the end of the service. Must remember to take my watch off and return it to my purse. I note, it is 3 minutes fast so I should reset it too.

Church went fine, although I still have to clean up from it.

I raced home after coffee hour and caught the last half of the on-line church I've been attending. Since I missed half our service it was nice to listen to a sermon, participate in a creed (I have a copy here) and do prayers, even if only cyberly attending church. I hope the speed is high enough on the ship that I'll be able to continue to do this while away. This service is only a webcast, not video, so should work. They don't podcast (i.e. record so I can download later) so if the bandwidth on the ship isn't enough, I'll be out of luck. My sister's church used to do a video podcast but I don't see it on their website any more, besides the ship can't handle video. It barely handles the photos I put up.

Now I need to unload the car and put away all the Sunday School lesson stuff. Fishing net back in the garage, 'fishing game' fish back in the basement, and rebuild the centrepiece for the dining table (or make up a new one and put the glass jar away.)

Good progress made on binder organization project. I'm pleased the way it is coming together. It is helping to define the goals in each subject and pull together the component of each.

Harriet - thank you for looking. i seem to remember giving my kids cold type medicines when they were little. Maybe I am remembering wrong, I just know there isn't any available now for LO age. The doctor says to use suction to control/remove mucus when children are under 4 years old. I've been giving him watered down lemon/lime sodas and that seems to help somewhat.

LucyLee - I'm curious how your evening service turns out. Hope you enjoy it!

Twins - Thanks for the kind words!

Kathryn - our church has podcast available online (mp3 I think). However, I suspect it is so different from your church that it might not be helpful

The internet connection has been up long enough this time.

It is overcast. 8" of snow the last two times it snowed. Both recently and very cold. Today a 20 degree temperature rise and severe storms with heavy rain.

I going back to knitting and keeping my leg elevated.

Car is emptied. Stuff is put away in the house and the bins returned to the car. Kitchen is tidied.

I had a healthy lunch.

I've wound the clocks (which meant restarting three of them since I've been having great difficulty with the clocks in the past month.)

I've done everything but my weekly house-cleaning in order to avoid dealing with the annual report preparation!
