MONTH OF MONDAYS

Yep, that's what we have ahead of us ...... a whole month of Mondays. A month of chances at brand new starts. Ehat do you need to start (anew) on this Monday?
For me it is weight loss plan. I was doing really well for a few weeks then had a complete reversal.

So am starting anew this morning!!
DD and gd are off to school(s). Not a good morning for dd as far as gd was concerned. GD spent the weekend at a friend's and it was really nice here. Now that she's had 'her way' though, she's back to same old.
Wanted to come here and glance around a bit and then on to doing my 30-minute paper work routine. Perhaps if I can do 30-minutes each day, I'll be (sort of) done by the time I go home next month. Determined to not carry as much paper back and forth!
Indiana, every day you sound more like yourself.
Couldn't agree more and it seems very delightful!

Good Morning!
Love the fresh starts available both here in PWYC and monthly themes on this forum.
Each morning I finalize the daily card count from the day before and start fresh. I do enjoy the mental reset. I do a similar type reset on a weekly & monthly basis. Having those FRESH STARTS are important to me!
LucyLee - you are doing so very wonderful balancing all you have on your plate. I think about you and all your are dealing with often but rarely stop and giving you a well deserved POTB.

Well, that feels good. Started my month of Mondays off right by spending 30-minutes on sorting/filing paper. Little by little I'll whittle this job down to size! Still have a few things I need to put in the filing bin but otherwise that's one task done for today.
Next up is getting breakfast done and a load of laundry going. Made the bed and took my meds quite a while ago.
Didn't hear from dh all day yesterday -highly unusual but not worried. Sure he'll call today. I hate to call him because he's usually "under a sink" or something.

I'm working on my email in-box right now. I have it down under 400 now and hope to have it to 200 or less by the time I get home today. Of course, that requires dh to drive home and I'm not sure he'll do that.
We are stopping at Wal M arts along the way to try and buy that oven. I have my passport since the last highway exit before the freeway home goes to the US and I'll hit the store there if I have no luck on the Canadian side. Dh won't have a passport (the US consulate will have it because of the visa) so he'll either sit at customs on the Canadian side or try and enter with just his Nexus card. Since I've done that before, it should be ok, but getting back into Canada can be difficult with just a Nexus card so maybe we won't try that....
He's at his interview now.
The bed was comfortable but I had a rough sleep, worried about waking up on time. Plus the city noise was very distracting, no sirens but noisier than NYC which really surprised me. We had the drapes mostly shut but there's a big outdoor screen just down the street and that created the impression of flashing lights in our room from time to time. Plus dh's smart phone received a text message at 4:30.
It is a beautiful sunny day here so it is easy to think of new possibilities.

My morning started out great. It really did. It went topsy turvy from there.
I am going for blood work at 9 am and someone is watching Jake.
I hit my leg on the rocker of the rocking chair and bleed very badly. They are coming to clean my rugs. The nurse just looked at it and thinks I may need stitches so while I get my blood work I'll go to ER and see what they say.

Wow, Indiana, I'm glad you can get it looked at while you're out.
I emailed the builder's designer about the windows at the new house - it may be too late to make a change w/o it being exorbitantly expensive but I'm asking.
I'm feeling low about dd still and her roommate being so alienated. I know she's feeling lonely and very hurt. She is wanting to come home to be here for the Passover seder on Friday night (we spend passover with the same friends every year.)
I'm really wanting to be done with tax season. Two more weeks + 1 day.

Wishing Kathryn a safe trip back home today.
Have my LOL in the dryer now -figure I'll go to DSisIL's after I finish dishes. Sure gd will have a 'fit' that I've picked up many of her items and placed them in the hallway going to her room. At least the living room, dining room and entry way are picked up. Need to vacuum but that may wait until later. Have moved some things to neaten up the area. And because it was me, that will create a problem. But I'd rather live with that than a mess. If I remember correctly gd's therapist is coming today.
Off to clean up the kitchen.>>>>>>>>>>>> Making tracks!
Oh, drat! ((((Indiana))))

Running late today. Got my blog up finally. I did two this week, one of our yard work and one of DH's trip in the desert with Dbro.
Now I have to hurry to get breakfast and shower done so I can get to the Park Beautification work.
Then back to take full trailer to the dump. Yard is getting to look better.
TTFN
INDIANA!!!! Be careful. I should talk, I've got bruises and cactus sticks all over my body.

So sorry Indiana has to deal with this! Feel better fast.
Kathryn, to get my emails down to 200 would be a huge undertaking I fear. Glad you are so vigilant.
Dee, a month of Mondays - I will need to use one of those do-overs so thanks for providing the explanation I can use.
lucylee, very few smiles yesterday so thanks for letting me steal that one.
I have a raw throat and painful cough or painful clearing of throat today. I forgot to use my serious inhaler last night and I guess that was a big mistake. My last antibiotic is this evening and I suppose all of this proves that was a bad idea to even take it if it has had no effect. I either have the most amazing allergy situation ever seen, or a roaring virus which would of course be unaffected by antibiotic.
I slept better which surprised HRH who slept poorly. He left before I coughed for the first time, so he doesn't know the
that caused.
OKay I have been thinking of all the wonderful outdoor work you have been able to do. That is such a blessing. I hope the flowers especially do well. Veggies are terrific, but blooms stop everyone in their tracks. Grab a camera about a month from now.
Dog and baby - lucylee, researchers in Michigan have now proven that baby boys exposed to a dog in the home during the first year of life have only half the risk of allergy to them later in life than the general male population. (doesn't seem to help girls, but first-year exposure to cats will cut risk for both boys and girls) So that's one good thing. This, however, did not save ds27 and ddil's dachshund from being given to her sister. He was a near-puppy still and so wild. It wasn't the allergy concerns with him, it was the shear effervescence. He was never in only one place at one time.

Well I had two small piles of leaves to pick up that was like 2 five gal. buckets full and I got those picked up such a relief to do that.
We have fun with side walk chalk yesterday during our "recess" it was cold and brisk in the morning did not change much in the afternoon except more sun. dgd decided to take a walk with her doll in a dill stroller so we went around the block she loved that!
Today it is sunny again or will be in a bit blue skies over head.

All the Dgds will be here this should be an interesting mix today with the two older ones and the youngest one. The boys are going to the job site to pick up rocks and trash.
Dgd was delighted w a visit from a dog up the way that was here yesterday for a few min. well mannered and freshly groomed.
My bs is up again today so I"ll be on the exercycle in a few min. took meds. having coffee now.
