Excitement is in the air - it is Easter Sunday and all the activities that go along with it.

Both sides of our families are having gatherings today. DH side is cooking out and my side is eating traditional meal @ Mom's. We haven't committed to either side so they won't "hold up" eating until we arrive. We will show up and visit at both places as able this afternoon/evening. This morning is church followed by country style egg hunt. It is cloudy with 40% chance of rain today so maybe MPB won't be demanding of extra time today.

Today starts the process of using eye drops 5 times daily until cataract surgery on Wednesday then after that it will be 9 drops a day. Only….141 eye drops to administer over the next 2.5 weeks in a timely manner. Two of the prescription drops are 4 times daily with 5 minutes between the drops each time. The other drop is only once a day - but still maintain the 5 minutes between it and the other drops. So once a day will be 10 minutes of focusing on doing eye drops and the other 3 times a day will be 5 minutes. I knew I would never keep up with this without tracking it, so I made a chart with spaces to mark each of the eye drops off as I do them.

Good morning OKay. What is a country style easter egg hunt?

I'm going to putter for a while this morning. This afternoon I want to listen to the Masters and either knit or read.

Indiana - enjoy your day! I forgot about the Master being this time of the year. I remember being there one year and all the Hub-bub that surrounds it. We didn't attend the Masters but visit the course and got a small understanding into the excitement surrounding it.

country style egg hunt = hunting eggs that have been hidden by teenagers at a horse arena. If it isn't raining the eggs will be hidden outside with plenty of room to hid them in the mowed grass area but also the temptation to hide them in other areas.....aka with piles wood chippings/manure that have been cleaned out of the horse stalls. If it is raining then they will hid the eggs inside the show ring and among the stalls. The teenagers are told to keep the eggs on "clean" areas but there also seems to be at least one egg found on top of a tall "pile". Of course there are the other challenges to finding the hidden eggs - balanced on top of a fence post, put just out of little ones arms reach the other side of a fence....etc etc etc. There are PLENTY of eggs for the little ones to find easily but the older young ones always have a few challenges courtesy of the teenagers creative efforts.

OKay that sounds like a fun egg hunt. Teenagers can be creative and ornery.

Jake is wound up this morning and has given himself a time out.

He likes moving all the decorative pillows on my bed and turning down the quilt. He did that earlier. We played for a while with his ball and his stuffed squeaky mallard duck. He played some more with the duck. He took it on the couch while he pushed all 5 pillows out of his way and to the ground.

He began shaking and tossing his mallard. He got a little rough and it landed on the coffee and made a big noise. So he high tailed it into the office with me and curled up on his bed in here. There isn't anything on the coffee table that he can hurt. Beginning with dnephew 32 years ago it has always been a kid friendly table. They can play with anything on it and learned not to touch anything on the other tables. I keep mostly salt cellars and salt masters on it with a couple of other heavy pieces of glassware. There is noting that they could break no matter how rough and any dents in the table just adds to the dents already there.

DH and two Dsons tried to go fishing yesterday but all they got was wet.

Holiday weekend at WM. Lots of people waiting until the last minute to get supplies for egg coloring and being upset because it is sold out. Also people coming up with creative ideas and then finding out we don't carry what they need to do it. Should be a quiet day today. People should be with family.

Dson-16 cooked yesterday and the kitchen shows it. He did clean some of it and I am shutting my eyes to the rest of it for now. Don't have time. They will either clean today or I will tomorrow after I go to doctor's for check up.

Today Jake seems to be having fun from the sounds of it Indiana thanks for sharing!
Yesterday the squirrel tipped over the feeders on the deck spilling nuts and crumbs the squirrel high tailed it out of there and did that squirrel bark they do from a nearby tree in the back yard.
Then came back to finish off the nuts. When we came home every crumb was gone birds love those banana muffins too it seems! LOL!

I'm up bs is not up as much as yesterday.
But still up today.
Coffee is brewing.
Morning meds. have been taken. Have to wait a bit to eat.
I have granny duty Mon. and Wed. this week, not sure about other days yet.

I need to get ready for church in a bit.
The house needs attn. as we were not here most of yesterday to do that.
It was fun watching the grand kids color and hide eggs in their front yard.
The neighbor kids came over to watch and help too.
Dd sent home a dozen boiled eggs with us so I"ll have one for breakfast.

I will continue to not have creamer as it has soy in it and I"m not supposed to have that I"ve also given up mayo. Don't miss it as much now.

I really need to get rolling this morning...soon it won't be morning. I've read the paper and watched HGTV. Between the segments, I've emptied the dishwasher, straightened up the family room and cleared kitchen counters mostly.

This afternoon need to get dd back for ride back to K-town, and other than that I don't want to leave the house. Two evenings of socializing, on top of working six days and one off on end, leave me a recluse. I got home from work yesterday, napped, then went directly back out to a second night seder. (Actually, it's a seder meal at a restaurant, with a blessing on the beginning, but no other readings...) Dh and I took friends to see new house afterward so was 10 p.m. when we got home.

(Applying the BGS liberally to my backside..... and planning to start small.)

-take meds/vitamins
-sort upstairs laundry and start a load
-make the bed

I've been laying low with two ear infections and a sinus one as well. I'm on the mend now. Spent yesterday doing some yard work and house. Today I'm cooking a turkey in a reynalds bag. Easy peasy stuff that will give me left overs for several days. My kind of cooking!

I will be putting in my retirement papers in this week and the the real count down begins. I am more than ready. Hard to phatham I have spent the last 25 years in education. I will be spending the next few years "educating" Willis in the art of becoming a well trained dog. Once a teacher always a teacher, just our students chance lol

I will be joining in with twins in the new construction department. Sweetie wants to add a garage to the house. This will incorporate space for his car and additional storage space. We've been toying with building a tool shed and decided to extended the idea. Most all the lots in our community have now been sold and there are 9 houses under construction and 3 more ready to go. We thought we might as well add to the dust and commotion on the streets
