Wednesday Wow

Post by Twins' Mom »

Today is a wow day. I just told the ddogs that I'll be home for several days. I'm just piddling around today. Need to straighten up for cleaning lady, although not sure if she's coming this morning or afternoon.

Lovin' being home today with not much on the agenda.

Lilac, I sat down in the new "soaking tub" at the new house last Saturday night - it's huge! I rarely take baths but might be tempted to soak since we will have the tankless water heater and can fill it properly. Of course, it had something sticky in it that got on my pants then, but it's something to look forward to!

I'm up but barely. Slept over 9 hours. I guess that's a good start to my Sabbath!

I'm skipping the treadmill today so will have to do a good job of curtailing my eating today. The only errand I have is to gas up the car. I might run down to the market town if their gas is cheap and treat myself to lunch at Subway. Otherwise, I'll gas up at the general store, paying the $1.50 a tank premium and save the time.

WOW! Twins has a respite!! :D

That's what I said last night when I went to A T & T to find the number to dial for data usage. (I lost all my contacts the other day and that was on it -old list of course didn't have it). My eyes bugged out when I saw our next billing amount!! It said it was $250.43  :o WOW! Well more than double. Checked again this morning after some sleepless hours and it was still the same. Called them at 7:44 and as I had guessed by then they were billing us for 2 accounts. Think when we bought dh's phone last month that that person must have hit something. Whew! Back down to actually less than we were paying before. Now I'm a happy camper -THERE.

Second mess up of the day was that I had still not received my diabetic meds from Med Co yesterday and went online to check that. According to the tracking number it was delivered up north yesterday morning! :? Usually they call when there's been a change of address so I checked online and it still says this address (meaning at our DD's in FL) in our profile.???? So was going to check into that this morning. However the website now will not allow ME access saying my coverage has been changed by either me or our provider! NOT as far as I know. I could get into dh's info but not mine. So will be calling my 'trusty supervisor' very shortly to see if we can straighten THIS out! I have felt my blood pressure and heart rate up all morning! Did count my medication that I have and I have enough to last me until I get home.

Dee, your problems with M-C are unbelievable. I still wish you had a lawyer friend who could send a legal-sounding letter for them to get their act together. Imagine a pharmacy causing you to have high blood pressure...

Twins, I'm happy for you that you've successfully gotten through another tax season.

Hello Kathryn. How is Ken doing with his monitor? I had a halter monitor once and hated it because it smelled like smoke...ewww.....

I am hoping for a regular, productive day around here for a change. My dailies are done and I've done some things in the office. I'm sure there are way more of them to come since we've had a flurry of people calling about stuff. If this keeps up I would definitely say we've turned the corner on the economy here.....except for the dead spot the past couple weeks...

 Harmony! I just don't understand where this newest stuff has come from!! As my dsisil says, "Why am I always having to do someone else's job?"

Amazing gd last night -she's like a Jekyl & Hyde. She was unbelievably happy and even almost nice last night. The night before -well we won't go there. Maybe she needs her hormones tested?

DSisil called while I was talking to dh this morning. I didn't answer then had problems accessing my voicemail. For the first time I had to put in the security password and had no idea what that was. Finally guessed at one that was correct evidently. It might have had something to do with how I erased everything from my phone????

Think I need that respite that Twins is taking. Can I come spend a day with you?

Going to Wally world and try to pick up testing strips. I hope that at least goes right today. The way I figure it I've got one more coming today. :?

Dee - I get my testing supplies from Liberty and they are a lot cheaper. After Medicare I think I pay $1 or $2 for them.

We are up and starting our day. I think I was too tired to sleep last night as I kept waking up. I'm going to schedule a nap today to get caught up.

Next up is shower/breakfast/meds and then a walk before it gets too warm. We are supposed hit the 100's this weekend.

Harmony: I checked dh's log sheet and he hasn't logged anything since yesterday. That doesn't mean he hasn't had any incidents, just that they weren't unlike the ones he had the first day so he didn't bother to record them. This one is like a pager that has 2 leads leading from it. He takes the leads off each day to shower and puts on fresh ones after. Once a day he uploads the info from the recorder to the office via telephone.

I'm done breakfast and my devotions. Need to go s2s now.

Book Review Update * Warning * :
I finished latest novel -- The Homecoming of Samuel Lake -- last night.
I enjoyed it -- or at least most of it. As I told y'all, there were some really terrible things that happened in it, and by the time I got to the end, there was a REALLY terrible thing, which I had NOT seen coming -- so, if you read it, don't say you weren't warned.
However, it DID end well, and if you'd like a step back in time and you'd like to spend some time with 1950s era Southern women, you might like it. These are pretty unique, independent women -- I can't imagine my grandmothers in some of the situations they got into -- but in other ways, listening to them talk is like sitting around my grandmother's kitchen table.

Waiting on the ac man now.
Tomorrow is another day.

Wow Wednesday looks like things are returning to normal.

Tax Season is over for Twins.

Dee is continuing to have problems with pharmacy.

Curtailing eating and picking up Subway for Kathryn.

Harmony's dailies are done and some work in the office. It looks like work is picking up.

Mr. MT is home and MT is back to her normal days except for heat in the 100's.

My wow Wednesday is finalizing the items for our council meeting tomorrow. I need to practice my response to one of our residents that complains about everything. I tend to go to one response and the other is better. The president of the council and I came up with a standard answer.

The president may miss the meeting because of a funeral she shouldn't miss. I am already banging my head against the wall getting ready if the VP does the meeting. He beats to his own drummer which is fine but he is so negative and has his own hidden agenda.

I'm off to putter.
