Think I'll list 3 things I absolutely have to have done by 3. One will be to try to get the printer working. Need to print out a list of dh's meds (of course I could actually write them with pen/paper) for his cardiologist visit this afternoon. For some reason it's showing ink levels almost full, but I can't get it to print from a file or do a copy. Seems like I had this problem last year too -and if I remember correctly I just ended up buying a whole new printer. Can't do that every year! :x

Weighing in on baby monitors. I don't think they were around when most of ours were really young. But think I did have one when DS-A came. But a real plus for us was when I badly broke my leg and had to stay on the couch downstairs and dh was in the bedroom upstairs (we had a very large house too) we used the baby monitors for communication. Also had a johnny jumper and that got lots of use. Bought one for DS-A and DDIL for our coming new grandbaby. But as Harmony said it needs framed doorways. Not sure they have one but knew DS-A can improvise. I loved the swing too -it was always a big plus for children & grandchildren!

It's quite cool here this morning. Have a sweat jacket on -was too lazy to get my robe out.

Plan to get dressed soon and go for a walk. Need to get going on an exercise chain.

DH wants to go to another softball 'final' after his Dr. visit this afternoon -it's probably 50 miles from here -down in the Alleghenies

There goes my Mocking bird. Love sitting listening to them! I think this one was listening to some kind of a drill though   .

Good Morning!

Happy Birthday Harriet!!

Dee - HUm.....printer troubleshooting thoughts.....is your printer plugged into the same USB port that was used when you installed the driver for it? I've had problems with printer not working when I use a different USB port. Maybe reinstalling the driver?

3x3 =
1 - Medical appts - LO has follow up appt with pediatrician to verify his ears are clear (no fluid behind them). Allergy clinic for DH to get his weekly 2 shots.
2 - Package & mail BDay gift
3 - continue onion harvest/processing. I think my current method is going to be the winner (harvest, clean, chop, saute, freeze)

Happy Birthday Harriet

I goofed off cause I thought it was too hot to work yesterday. Now I have about 10 hours of stuff to get done in the 4 hours before we leave.

AGHH!! Why do I do this to myself??

Be back later when we are finally on the road.

Oh, (MT), I do the exact same thing to myself! I think you'll prioritize and manage to get enough done, maybe all of it!

3x3. . .

1. volunteer w/ dd14's band 8:50 - 11:30 this morning

2. Target

3. purchase, prep, and get a graduation card in the mail

Off I go!

Good morning, villagers ~

Happy Birthday, Dear Harriet!!

Last night DH came to get me to see tiny kittens outdoors in the dark. We were pretty sure there were 2 litters somewhere, but the moms have had them well-hidden. The 2 babies we saw last night in the open shed behind the garage are about a month old. The other litter is a couple of weeks younger, so they aren't starting to explore yet. I think they might be under the front porch, because I've seen their mama come out from there several times. I try not to get too attached to the tiny kittens any more, since most of them disappear to owls and other predators.

Today is a catch-up day. That newsletter took several more days of work than I expected. It felt like being out of the house that long because I couldn't focus on anything else.

Tomorrow I'll be meeting a good friend for lunch and running errands in The Big City, so today I must Conga!

I'm online!

This was not a given this morning. The wifi was working but I couldn't leave the house to go onto the internet. I did all the normal stuff (reboot computer, power off/on cable modem, reboot router) but no luck. Finally just cut the power to the equipment room and restarted everything at once. That worked. I suspect I was missing a router (couldn't find one but thought we had two) so maybe it was the router I couldn't find that wasn't working right.

If it had been our cable internet, I was out of luck because I couldn't email dh and he's the one with the password to the account. I have since sent him an email asking for the password which I'll stick onto the modem.

<Warning TMI>

My TOM arrived yesterday so I'm struggling once more to get used to this Diva cup. Dd gave me some tips, one of which is useful. I'm not sure if the other 'feeling' I have is because of cramping or the cup. And I'm not sure how well the cup is actually working, I have a pad on too. I hate no knowing my own body.

</TMI>

I'm skipping exercise this morning and going to walk with ds when he comes out later this morning. I have finished my tea and chocolate so will get dressed, eat breakfast quickly and then get to work on housework. This house hasn't been cleaned for 3 weeks so is awfully grey around the edges.

This afternoon I have a worship service to attend and then I'll do a banking run. Have to update quicken, to payroll and pay bills before heading off to the bank.

I got 'lost' in my post earlier and forgot (with all good intentions!) to wish DHARRIET A VERY VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!. May today be a golden one for you! May is such a nice month!
AGHH!! Why do I do this to myself??
If you figure out the answer to this one, MT, DO let the rest of us know!

Thanks for that little tip, Okay. I'll try that next. Although, in thinking about it, everything else works as it should -there's just no print. Almost seems like last year it was the print head and it was almost cheaper to buy new than replace the head. Wish I had just a little more know-how.

HARRIET MAY YOUR BIRTHDAY BE A VERY HAPPY ONE! Wishing you oddles of fun relaxation and what ever your heart desires today and all year through!

I'm up bs is not as good today but in my target range barely. ~sigh~ Coffee is done.
I'm waiting a bit to have a muffin for my breakfast and an egg. Speaking of eggs ~
Someone is selling live chickens for $10 ea. in our local penny saver ad paper here this week I may call to see what breeds they are said they had many breeds.

Enjoyed the conclusion of the Hatfields & Mcoys on History channel last night. H. did not see the end of it. Did see the end of Tues. as they played it first. I wish those mini series were not on so late.

They got a commercial account at the company where h. is working now hauling concrete it's interesting to hear about the projects he takes product to. But it's hard work for him and he talks about that too.

Hugs and good thoughts to all who need them today.

One phone call made.

Ds is on his way over now.

I'm in for heavy bleeding today so I think beef will be part of our lunch plans! I need to buy more orange juice too in order to have that with my non-animal iron sources.

The upstairs is dusted. I vacuumed on Sunday so won't bother to do it again.

The rest of the house will wait until this evening.

It is lovely and cool here so dh and I will probably go for a hike, ending up at the general store to pick up the mail.
