What can you fling from your life today to make the weekend more enjoyable?

I try to "fling" on a continual basis by keeping a large black trash bag available to drop things into the minute I come across an item that is not needed anymore. Yesterday I dropped off my current "black bag" of GW items, so today I well put a new bag in place & ready to receive items.

We decided last night that LO is ready to join us in our previous PM routine. Starting today we are going to do MPB PM chores together again. That may not sound like much, but to us it is HUGE. Years ago DH & I used to always team up to do them, but life threw us some curve balls which required us to separate ourselves so we could cover all the bases. Now that LO is older and doesn't require the intense infant/baby/toddler care, we can return to doing MPB PM chores together. :D Teaming up & working together to accomplish a shared goal is one of my favorite things to do!! You got my back.....I got yours. :)

I always have some kind of "donate" bag in my car. Hate being surrounded by "things" and prefer uncluttered spaces.

Okay--Thanks for your kind words the other day!

Cowinkie--Glad your Mom got her B oscov's back! That is a new store to me and I love shopping there.

Booksaver--I miss the good Britcoms since we moved. Our old PBS showed so many good ones that we don't have here in PA.
Used to watch the one you mentioned--also Fresh Fields, William and Mary, Lark Rise to Candleford, and Doc Martin. I did get William and Mary from A mazon since we moved before I could finish the series.

Need to run errands and have many stops to make today. Here I go...

I woke up to hail on the a/c unit and thunder in the background.

We dozed (poorly) until the alarm went off but it was still raining so no walk. I'm feeling frustrated as a result. We laid in bed longer since we weren't walking.

This is a comfortable place so I'm thinking the disrupted sleep was the stress of the day and not the bed or surroundings. We are on the highway side of the hotel and it is no more than 1/3 of a mile across a field from me and yet I can't hear the trucks going by. Yet it is a hill so there should be engine noise. It is a new hotel so they obviously built to high standards.

Dh just finished his floor exercises, so it is my turn to use the yoga mat.

Forgot to mention my thrill at getting out of the car last night and smelling the salt air. We aren't still a long drive from the ocean but dinner was near the entrance of the St. Lawrence River so the water is still salt there.

Hotel internet went down so I couldn't make my last post.

Last week dh and I did a good clean out of the garage and it made a huge difference with how I felt after. I literally felt lighter every time I walked through and saw how tidy and clean it was.

We are about to hit the road now. Late as usual.

Rain will be with us the whole trip. (And possibly the whole week.)

Well, I must admit I'd love to fling a particular co-worker from my life (long story), but since that won't work, I'll settle for flinging the weather forecast that says it's going to be nice until tomorrow and then rain all over my three days off!! Wait! I just checked the Environment Canada site, and - as is so often the case - the forecast has completely changed since I checked yesterday! It's now going to be cloudy on Sunday, and sunny on Monday/Tuesday! :o

There are times lately when I'd love to fling the entire contents of my house into a dumpster so I could finally get this place clean...but I suppose that isn't an entirely realistic choice.

Since I have to be at work in an hour and a half, I'd better fling myself away from this machine and get the critter care done.

We are back from our walk. Lots going on here this morning to check out. The band buses are in and a couple of the equipment trucks. They are setting up the stage for tonight's concert. Oh! and there are two beer and one Pepsi reefer trucks next to the grandstand so they will have cold drinks.

We still don't know who is playing except it is C&W. Maybe I should go on the Fairgrounds website and find out. We will be able to hear no problem so I wouldn't pay to get in anyway.

I am more than a little ticked at our mail service. When we went there last week, we had to refuse an order from our Prescription service as it was the meds that would interact with DH's blood thinner meds. For some reason they put a note on our file and not only refused the replacement meds for DH but all of my meds for the next 3 months. Not nice when one is a diabetic. We can use OTC meds for DH - but mine are a bit more serious.

We will try again next week and hope they don't do it again. I saw them put note on our file to accept all packages. (Only problem is she spelled it except  )

I might call the script service and see if they will ship out a new batch before the old ones get back. A lost in the mail type thing. I have to count up and see how much more meds I have and if they will last until I get the new ones.

Well, I have flung Weight Watchers from my morning schedule today. It got flung out last night when dh told me he needed the car this morning to transport equipment b/c. . his mm size microprocessor is working and communicating -- and they're finally going to implant it in a (tumor in) a mouse this morning!! The chip will measure pressure and should be able to radiowave the info. out. Well, if it all works. This is a BIG milestone for this project, even if something goes wrong now - which is a distinct possibility. I think his students on the project are also excited. I hope it goes well.

SO, I guess I have to stay home this morning. :)

Yesterday was a lot of running around. Dd16 likes her mentor -- and I like him too. I got to meet him. He is in chemical biology and is studying cancer cells. Dd16 is going to visit his lab in 2 weeks; if she is careful, he will let her do something with the cells! She is excited.

I have errands I need to do today too; I could look into the bus routes, but I need to go to 3 separate locations. . . .Dd14 wants to go clothes shopping before going to camp on Sunday. I need to take a u rin e sample to the pedi. for dd14's first pg test. (NO, she is not. This is legal protocol for getting on the anti-acne drug acutane.) I also would like to get in a Tarjay run; we're running out of dog food and cat food.

Dd16's friend is here today. I think they're going to study together. Dd16 is working on her health assignments to test out next week. Her friend's AP chem assignments are due in a couple weeks so she'll be working on those. Dd16's aren't due until the first day of school. They go to different high schools.

I slept in until 9:30 and could have slept longer. Another perk of throwing out WW. With jetlag and 4 nights of so-so sleep - and not enough of even that - I think I'm catching up. I feel groggy, though, and not very awake.

Twins, dd16 is diligently checking on the kittens! She is enjoying that link very much.

OK, this was a pretty random post. Hmmm... I think it reflects my current state of mind.

I'm going to have some bfast and then take care of that bush. There is cool air coming in through the windows, so I don't think it is too hot out there.

I went from being hot to being cold in the night at some point I was grabbing covers I'd tossed off us to put back on ack! BS was WAY up today sigh so no breakfast and I think I'll be mowing in a bit.

So skippable: I'm still processing the dog event, I'm glad I did not try to hard with the doggie job dog was fine owner was way to upset; nothing would please that woman even if instructions were followed doggie was a pill bugging neighbors when he went out on their deck howled and barked  every one is glad they are back home. Reigniting some old issues about dogs misbehaving so they came home to that after a trip from he double hickey sticks I still have to return the key not looking forward to doing that. I got an ear full when she called to let me know they were home. It's not my fault that her plan did not work b/c of an unruly misbehaving doggie! :? What I thought might be fun turned out to be more of a night mare for more than one person! I can't believe how stressful that was. The gal doing the plans quit on them after week one saying she could not get the gates open to do it they were hard to work.

Hooray!! We have a place to stay for 3 weeks in Aug. Called up the Church camp where we have worked before and volunteered. That way we get a free place to stay and sometimes food.

I will be making signs again and probably doing some sewing. DH will do some painting and some small repair around the camp. (Light switches, shower heads, etc.)

We will also work it so our DS can come camp out with us for a weekend.

Now to get some things cleaned ups in the RV and get to town to meet Dsis and Dbro for lunch.
