SO SUNDAY

It is SO Sunday here! There's often something about Sunday that just feels 'different'. How does your Sunday stand out?
DH plans to go to the races with DS-R and DGS7 this morning. I need to get myself moving toward getting ready for church. Been up for an hour but only have had meds so far.
Been sorting my books into 'series' and catalouging so I know what I have. Time to re-read some old friends I think.
Not very motivated this morning so need to shift into high gear and get a move on.

Good Morning!
Love Sundays! It is my Sabbath day so I treat it differently than other days of the week.
I spent some time this morning (early morning hours) outside enjoying the calmness. My hair was freshly shampoo'd so the breeze gave it some help drying. I picked a sack of squash & cucumbers to give away this morning at church.
I'm trying some different sweeteners in my coffee. Blackstrap molasses was the first experiment. I drank it but I don't think that is a taste that I will acquire anytime soon. Now I am trying date sugar in my coffee. Not bad! It is suppose to be one of the most healthiest sweets and I think it might earn a place in my kitchen.

We are up and erasing footsteps and trailer ooze as Dsis, BIL and DBro are coming out after church. It is a good thing that church doesn't start until 11 so we have time.
I also have to finish my blog and get the pictures of our reunion up but that might have to wait until after they leave.
Looks like it will be in the mid 80's today so I'd best close the curtains over the windshield to keep the heat out.

LucyLee, guess you and I are on 'baby-watch'. It will all work out !
DH has gone with DS-R and I've been pondering getting ready for church. I really need to do that. That is a part of my "So Sunday".
Don't even have the bed made yet.

Just got back from a walk with ddogs, that's two days in a row. They are both stretched out on the tile kitchen floor.
I had a sinking feeling last night about undone temple stuff - today I need to give that some attention. We have a board meeting on Wednesday p.m. Yesterday I think I indicated we should get anything from the attic down, and pull out every thing under the screened porch and den. This afternoon, we're going to a birthday party for the parents of a dfriend of dh's - he almost considers them like a second set of parents. (DH and this friend joke that they are "bruddas from another mother.")
I need to get together a care package for dd - our rabbi is going to camp on Tuesday and will see her and can deliver it. I promised her I'd send a loaf of challah, too, so that needs to be made in the morning, I guess.
I should start with some a.m. routine...
-straighten up family room
-kitchen counters
-start dishwasher
-reboot laundry?
-clear kitchen table

Sipping cocoa coffee now part of my weekend thing. I've spiffed up the kitchen, laundry needs attn. as well as the rest of the house considering what to do about that. We really should move the other washer in so I can use it and the leaking one out of the laundry room this may interfere with church attendance today. H. is still sleeping.

The clerk at the groc. store said you could use crystal lite to make freezer pops I love that idea!

MH cleaned, blog up, dressed for church and have 45 minutes to go. Not bad.
DH is ready but for getting dressed which takes him minutes.
I'm going to kick back with a DDP (Diet Dr. Pepper) and read a bit.

Survived the power outage.
We slept well but sporadically. I kept waiting for the power to go off and dreaming about it.
I got up at 7 and moved around slowly. Had run off water and there's a gas stove here so I was able to make tea. Dh had a jacuzzi after I had my shower so we used that water for toilet flushing and washing hands in the bathroom.
At 9:20 we walked up the road to see what time the church service was there (the office didn' tknow) but it had started at 9:15 and we didn't get there until 9:35 so I came home without attending. Instead, I took my computer out on to the deck and listened to my friend's service.
We'll go into town soon for lunch at a soup restaurant we like. Ds has posted that he's in Nova Scotia now, so that's good. He picks up his sister in 3 hours and is just an hour from the airport now.
