Finally Friday

Post by Lynlee »

Good Morning
Finally I have some things (to) finalize today.

I had an appointment today with financial planner to get my superanuation moved to somewhere with half as much annual fees and charges, and hopefully same ballance of conservative security. The cost of her doing this was an establishment fee she'd mentioned earlier - that takes care of half the savings for the next year. So after procrastinating for years since before the gfc I have tidied it and sought the advice needed - and its finally worth as much as it was before the gfc thats stolen all the hoped for interest since then. Its my nest egg for changes I'll need in my older age. Maybe get me into a more suitable place/home with less to do outdoors. Theres an untamed jungle out there.
Giving thanks for those 10 years I was able to work - beyond all others expected was possible for me - as well as giving my dds the image of working and managing as best one can. And the house too - Needing to remind myself it was the best I could afford - with my father's help - at the time. And personal/family asterity measures that got it paid off.

pdoc today.
Some shopping. Bits of gift shopping. Finished birthday shopping for dgs13.
Walked 3k late towards dusk. Kookaburras called the evening in as I neared the corner for home.

Sleep problems last night. Finally I slept about 6-9. I'd dosed off and on early maybe from 10 to wake at 12. Hoping for better rest/ sound sleep tonight.

Lucylee - Loved the target you shared with students. That says all thats needed.
Ivy - Hoping your infection is brought under control soon.
scattered - Hope your early start goes smoothly.
Harriet - good thinking on the football. I need derail any of my own late tv interesting viewings too.
Waving to all.

Needing to go start on dinner.
Need to finish up on computer or it sucks me in too.
Goodnight.
Just begin.
Living this day, today
Take a reality check; Remember to breathe; Do what I am able to do.
Look for the good in all.

Good morning..... slept fairly well until 4a.m. Then was awake until about 6, fell asleep until 8ish. How does the melatonin work for you, Scattered? Know gd14 takes that -she's a terrible sleeper and needs it. She takes other meds as well for adhd, etc, etc.

Kathryn, me too:
the act of spending a large amount of money makes me physically ill.
Whenever dh starts talking new car I get nervous. Tells me he doesn't mean "now". But he's always looking.

Very gray out this morning, but looking at the radar, there's nothing in the area.

DDIL#2 texted me the sweetest picture of new dgs last night. Just had to send it to dh who really doesn't have texting on his phone (but can receive them at a cost per). Growing way too fast. 10 weeks last Tuesday. Other dgs turned 13 yesterday. Seems like he was just at the stage of his baby brother!

Now I'm looking for something else -dh's car keys (which of course have other things on them). Can't find them in the RV anywhere. He called last night to see if I'd checked a couple of places. Hoping I find them in the car -he had them on Wednesday and I didn't take the car out in between then and when we left yesterday at 4:00am. Will check at the store later today to see if anyone has possibly turned them in.

Have my mammogram/bone density tests this afternoon at 1. I am so nervous for whatever reason. Mammograms are extra hard for me because of not being able to get my left arm lifted. I checked with the insurance company about the bone density, Scattered, and they told me I should only have to pay a co-pay once every 2 years as a preventative. We'll see......

No, Ivy, I didn't get much of anything done yesterday. 2 D's actually (dinner & dishes). Dinner I went out to buy.

I need to get out of bed. My back is letting me know I've been in here for 12 hours.

I'm thinking of hitting the treadmill today. Will let you know what I decide.

Good Morning!
and sweet dreams to Lynlee

Each morning this week, LO didn't want to get up when the alarm went off. I kept telling him that he could sleep in on Friday (no school today). I felt so bad for him when a nose bled woke him up at 6am this morning. After waiting all week to sleep in today, it didn't happen. Even if he didn't get to sleep in, he is happy as a lark because he doesn't have to hurry around and get out the door to school. He is playing with toys while waiting for the sun to get up and dry the dew from the grass so he can go outside.

PODA -
** I don't have a clue. better stick to the basics

3D -
** Dishes - caught up and sink is shiny
** Duds - one load in washer and one in the dryer now
** Dinner -
B - bacon/egg/cheese/pear/cottage cheese
L - fish (yes...the same fish I was going to cook on Wednesday....then on Thursday....If I don't cook it today it will be tossed)
S - ??

oops!! Just got out my 'prescription' sheet for bone density test today. Says right on it: "Osteoporosis screening". Guess that's the 'reason' the hospital is looking for. Never noticed it on there and she gave me this last year before we left for FL.

Duh, why else does one get a bone density, Dee?

Hello to everybody (and sweet dreams, Lynlee). I'd like to be where Lynlee is, in bed. I woke up still tired. Feel like I could sleep a couple more hours. I was busy yesterday and took care of a lot of stuff.

Have LOL twirling. I'd like to get the bathrooms cleaned today. That's my goal for today.

Yeah, Finally Friday. It's been a long week.

H. called me on his way to work to let me know the sun is red again this morning from all the smoke it's really pretty! Not a good number on my BS this morning I'm not surprised b/c I skipped my evening walk b/c of the smoke.

Today I'm going to try to track down a flu shot when I do errands. Have to do that during the day as the weekends have not produced one that I can find with the Rx placed closed when I've shown up sigh. Oh well I have pills to get as well. Groc. list is made out.

Some painting touch up on a couple of boards to do but that will be before or after. H. turned the eggs this a.m. for me. Said he may be working tomorrow. So last night I did an extra journal entry of things I could do got enough stuff in it for the next week I think! LOL!

Today I'm glad to say I was able to enjoy all but one of my Thurs. shows. I'd like to make a bit of progress on the cranberry colored prayer shawl. I started a grey and white scarf this week it's fun to have a small project in between to work on.

Got a pen pal letter this week so will be thinking about doing an answer and getting notes for a letter off to mom also.

Right, Harmony! It's been a long time since I had one done -at least 10 years. Can't even remember what they do. I only remember lying on my side. Hoping they tell me I don't have to come back for at least 2 years for my mammogram. How I wish there were a different way to do them. Think I dread the issue with my left arm more than anything. It's downright extremely painful for the left side. Just have to remind myself it's done 1,000's of times every day.

I'm s2s, (all except my top -waiting for my hair to dry), dishes put away, meds done, breakfast done and of course no coffee. That will be my first order of business I think after this is done. Perhaps I'll stop by Tim Horton's and treat myself to a donut -or not. Have to leave in about 90 minutes.

Still very dark sky. I see there's now rain forecast for the next 3 days. Hope it's not the same in NJ. Will check on my phone shortly.

I did .7 miles on the treadmill. Feels pathetic (for the newbies, back in July I was doing 2.3 - 3 miles per day on the treadmill, plus walking 2 miles to get the mail on week days.)

Hip is still 'out'. But it didn't get worse while I was on the treadmill. I did my stretches after, struggling through those as well. Can really feel that it has been over 8 weeks since I last worked out.

I've s2s.

Dh was surprised I was going to shower. I pointed out I'm now showering M W F and Saturday night (so I don't have to shower before going out on Sunday and Tuesday - the two days I always have something on in the morning.) He told me "I know that but it is... oh, right, I guess it is Friday." So it is the day of the week he can't keep track of, not the shower morning. Putting a calendar up on the wall of the bathroom with the shower days marked isn't helping because he looks at it but doesn't know what day today is so the calendar is useless. I can't tell you how much that scares me. The other stuff scares me too but he always uses the reason that he know things I've told him is because he was concentrating hard on something else when I told him, not because his hearing is going. We don't have to have the tv on loud (or more accurately, louder than I need it!) so I think he is right that it isn't hearing, but a concentration issue. He can't hear me when we are in the car (concentrating on driving) or when I'm at my desk and he's at his (he's looking at his laptop.)

I've had my chocolate so time to eat my cereal and get going for the day. I need to get paperwork under control today because I'm having guests for dinner tomorrow night. Ds is also coming to stay overnight tonight.
