WWW WEDNESDAY

The World Wide Web -do you remember when we didn't have it? How wonderful it's been having this little home on the web. How different life is with it!

Cool out this morning -low 40's. But that's better than it's been. Yesterday was simply gorgeous. I'm up early but haven't done anything other than test BS, take meds and sip a cup of coffee. Never even heard dh get out of bed this morning -I don't think. :?

Three weeks -that's all I have left here. Will hate to leave, except that it's getting too cold for me. Have to decide what my 'focus' for today will be. Think I'll center on getting my 'bin' of jewelry out of the closet and remove ONLY what I want to take with us. Won't be much. I "meant" to go through it this summer and have a friend help me with turning some of it in for cash. He's very good at it and I'm fairly distrusting of all the ads.

Have some phone calls to make today to set up some year-end get-togethers -since we haven't managed to do it all summer.

Did 1 LOL yesterday but it's still waiting (folded) to be put away. I'm trying to time my LOLs as the laundry room will be shut down on Monday night. Then it's to the laundromat. Could do it at either DS's houses but it would mean lots of stairs -which I don't do well, especially carrying something.

Up since five a.m. here - dMacs woke me up and I knew I couldn't go back to sleep then. Ddogs walked, breakfast done and I need to s2s. I have a repair person coming this morning to fix our heat which won't kick on. I tried to turn it on Monday night, thinking I should be sure it worked before it really got cold, and sure enough, it didn't come on.

Then it's on to work and another fun-filled stressful day.

So sad, Twins, that your work days are stressful.

Well, there goes another motorhome out. Know our neighbors (2nd 1 away from us) are leaving today too. They won't be back next year. They've been waiting for their condo to be finished. Actually the son & ddil of the next couple is moving into that spot later today -from West Va.

Think I'll s2s and get the kitchen spiffed. Did dishes again last night so at least don't have them staring at me.

DH was just here, but he didn't come in. Almost think he was checking the propane. We have 2 30-lb tanks. I would hope neither one is ready yet. But we have used quite a bit the last week or so. Sure the ol' electric meter is going around pretty good too! Supposed to have rain later today so think I'll get to it and do any running around this morning. Need to get just a few groceries and an anniversary gift for DS-A & DDIL #2. Their anniversary is today. Their "official" wedding was 10/10/10 (but in actuality we know they were married much earlier that year). The only reason they hadn't done so earlier was because xddil just wouldn't sign papers for a divorce -and she was the one who left (simply because she says she never wanted to be married????)

Good morning Dee, Twins and all who enter later.

Yesterday I wrote a post and then instead of hitting Submit, I closed out the page and there it went.

Okay, dd2 has FB and is offering a 15% discount if they come in and mention it. She also has a business website that she worked on (obsessed over) while waiting for possession of her building. Yesterday the newspaper called to request an interview and pictures, for Saturdays paper. They also will be bringing a camera man to film someone doing a project. This video will be available to view on the newspapers website. Dd2 is nervous about the interview. She doesn't want her life story in the paper. I told her unless she tells them her life story, they won't be printing it. There is plenty she can say about her business and it is free advertising. Hopefully all of this will bring an increase in business.

I need to mow but can't decide if today or tomorrow will be the day. As cool as it is in the morning, I can't mow as early as I had been. But there is always plenty to do until it warms up.

It is 48 degrees here in "sunny" NM. But it will hit 84 this afternoon. It is a bit chilly in the MH as we don't have the heat on.

The Rally has started but they don't have much planned except for meals and a trip to the winery.

I think I am "antsy" because I know in 2 days we can be at the house and I have sooooo much to do there.

I've been reading the posts quickly but haven't had time to post back.

Stressful, Dee, because of the time of year. All those returns we extended in April have to be filed on or before next Monday. And folks who have put it off this long aren't really likely to have their tax information well organized.  I have a couple of returns that partners are really pushing to get out, too.

I've not been eating particularly well, either. Monday night had a go-around with dh that left me upset, and last night had a meeting at temple then had to go to dfriends for dinner and got home late.

Doing good -for me. Have 2 cards ready to go -1 to DB in FL whose birthday is in four days. It might even get there on time (for a change). :o

Dneighbors getting ready to pull out with their MH. Too cold out there for me. I see everyone snuggled in cold weather gear out there. Brrr....

Saw dh go by a little bit ago with the forklift. Must be moving someone's deck (or shed) this morning. Can't believe the number of people who change sites. They used to just move people until about 2 years ago when the dcampowner said, "wait a minute....we move sheds & decks & prep sites, shouldn't I be charging for this?" So now it costs anyone $100 to change sites. Actually I think that's pretty reasonable when I see how many 'man-hours' go into that change. Wouldn't be at all surprised to see that figure go up. We never plan on changing. Think our site is pretty near perfect and there's noone behind us -just the berm. (which dh has put oodles of time and money into).

Just went out to say good-bye (till later this winter anyway) to dneighbors. They have a "long" way to go today -about 40 miles I think. :)

I realized that's what you meant, Twins. Unfortunately I'm pretty sure DS-A is one of those 'last minute' filers too. At least he always was. Not sure with DDIL doing most of his financial stuff now if that's still the case. I choose not to be involved as much as we can help it. I want to know NOTHING!

Good morning! Full day here, perhaps too full. .

PODA, in rough order:
x girls to lab for blood draws
- a.m. routine
-9:45 mammogram
-JOG - I need to get in a good 3mile jog outside this week in prep for the race next week, and this is the only window of time; I just hope it is enough. . . . Thinking, if I do some cooking prep ahead of time, I might be able to go jog after dd14's appt. I do prefer that time of day.. . . . Dh might be able to join me. I just need to be able to get dinner on the table by 6:15.
-buy bday card
-12:30 lunch bday party
-3:15 pick up dd14 for derm. appt. at 3:40.
-work on packing and paperwork (kid info for dfriends watching the girls) for leaving town tomorrow
-get Pepper to dfriends' home in neighboring village
-supper at 6:15 so dd16 can pick up dfriend and go to youth group tonight.

Lunch party includes dfriend who will be watching Pepper; I feel a little tense b/c this friend has a ds the same age as my ds18, and she historically has bragged about how smart and great etc. her kids are. . . . .It pushes my buttons big time. I can't say much about ds w/out hearing how her ds is even more. . . .whatever. I'm praying for my heart - and the conversations. Other than this quirk, she is a lovely lady, very funny -- a big talker. I do like her. . . . .

I may have to leave the lunch party early anyway, like by 2:15, to give myself some time to do some things before I'm out w/ dd14 to the dermatologist. Fortunately, they're usually pretty good about being timely.

Dh should be home sometime today; I'm not sure when his flight lands, but I think it is this a.m. He will likely go straight in to his office.

Dfriend is bringing her 2 kids over for dd16 to watch later this afternoon. I'll be out with dd14 at her appt., however, so I probably won't see them - or her.

Off I go. . . I spent too long here. I only have 30 minutes before I need to leave again.

Good Morning!

Yesterday afternoon/evening was back-to-back happenings without a pause. It was after LO bath time before we finally sat down to eat supper. I like to stay busy, but not THAT busy.

<SKIPPABLE....just thinking out loud>
Last week, DH announce to me and then later to his Mother that we are moving closer to DSon as soon as the court stuff is over. DH and I have discussed moving occasionally over the past few years, so it didn't come as a surprise to me. Moving. I'm not sure how to prepare for this. We have 8 buildings of STUFF. Will we have similar when we move? I am 99.9999% sure we won't be in MPB after we move so that eliminates packing/moving 2 of the buildings STUFF. I am 99.9999% sure we won't be in ranching business after we move so that eliminates the need to pack/move some more of the STUFF. IMHO, the house STUFF is going to be easiest because the rotating focus help to keep the house decluttered and deep cleaned. The unknown seems to be my stumbling block in making plans - don't know when (the legal stuff is dragging on and on.....could end at any moment or be another year or two). There is also the issue of elder care - I am DParents primary day-to-day support. Although I know DSis and DBrother would be there for them if I was out of the picture. Hum.....until I know when it seems best to just put this future plan on the mental shelf to be processed later.

Lilac - Your DD has covered all the advertisement bases. I hope they start paying off and her business grows by leaps and bounds. :)

PODA -
** LO to couselor appt
** call pediatrician to get appt for LO - he is still coughing
** dining room focus continue
