Re: Wednesday PWYC
Yep, it's Wednesday alright! I couldn't think of a title for today and was waiting for you to post, Okay!
I've been up since about 6:10. Ended staying up as I felt "off". Tested BS and it was 71. So decided it was time for meds and breakfast. I'm beginning to wonder just a bit about my last 'batch' of diabetic meds. I had a royal time trying to keep my BS down where it should be. Since I've started this new bottle (I just realized this morning) my BS has been right on. Is it possible? Doesn't seem like I've done all that much differently.
I forgot to put on my pedometer yesterday so will be sure to do that today.
Think today is an 'at home' day. Tomorrow I have a slew of errands (try to keep them all together). Have to get 2 new tires on our car, gas it up. I have noticed we've done quite a lot less driving this year -for whatever reason. I reset the odometer (trip mileage) each year when we get 'home' and again when we leave. Since arriving here in May we've only traveled about 7,900 miles -so I'm figuring probably about 8,500 by the time we leave in 2 weeks. Usually that number is around 11-12,000. Probably good in a year when gas prices are so high.
Have f ox n ews in T ampa B ay streaming in the background. Just waiting to see if dd's class shows up. Have a feeling it'll be used as a filler at some point. (Her charter school gets used for several 'bits' as the principal's ds is a newscaster).
Have water heating to shower, do dishes and get my hair shampooed. Have to focus on some paper work today. Actually the next 4 days (at least) are due for rain by the looks of the forecast. This will not be great for dh's 'end of year' activities. Lot of people are leaving on Monday or Tuesday.

Re: Wednesday PWYC
Good Morning!
I used the first hour of my morning to color my hair. Marking that 1 hour card done and refiling it to be due in 25 days.
Today should be a relaxing day. LO is out of school (fall break) and the only thing on the calendar is church tonight.
I'm going to call and see if I can possibility get LO in to see his doctor today for 4 year old checkup. I didn't think about him needing an official yearly checkup because he has been to see his doctor multiple times the last couple of months. Wrong-O! I was recently informed that Four year old get 7 immunizations.....which I believe will be given in 3 shots. This will NOT be a easy doctor visit. I want to get it over with during fall break so he can have a few days to recover before returning to school.
I'm trying to decide on how long we can get away to visit DSon and family. DGS6 received his Black belt this week and will be breaking a board thursday night....I would like to be there to cheer for him. Saturday is DDIL big party (she planned/organized a huge Halloween block party for about 400 people) and i would like for the 3 little ones to have the experience of be dressed up together and going to that party. Going to both of those events would require us to be away for over 50 hours - which requires much more planning for MPB, elder care, critter and livestock care than our typical 24 hour visit. DBrother has major surgery (shoulder replaced) on Thursday so he can't be on call for the livestock and/or elder care. HUuummmmm....

Ohhhh, I can certainly feel for your DB, Okay. I had complete shoulder replacement 17 years ago. But mine was from an accident and I was left with no use of my upper left arm. Still quite painful all these years later. I'm trusting your DB will fare much better! (I can use my lower arm/hand for which I'm mighty grateful -able to drive and all that.)
Think water is probably hot enough for a shower, so I'm off>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Re: Wednesday PWYC
This will be DBrothers second complete shoulder replacement in about a year (same shoulder). The first complete replacement didn't heal right even with months of therapy it has not done well at all (joint too tight, ball slipped out of socket, etc). The surgeon told him he had to do it tight because of the hard use DBrother gives it. He is dreading this surgery BIG TIME because he knows how painful the months of recovery he is facing. This will be his 4th complete joint replacement in the last 5 years or so. (both knees replaced) Otherwise he is in great shape and still wants to rope competitively.
Pastor just called and asked DH to do tonight's worship service. Guess that means we don't have the option of missing it.

I'm not working today and I slept in big time, not meaning to do so. Got up at ten minutes 'til nine and I have a phone conference at 10 a.m. - at least it's on my cell phone and I can still be in pajamas if I want. Ddogs are circling for their walk, which I think I'll delay until later in the morning. Going to go ahead and read the paper now....morning habits!

Re: Wednesday PWYC
I'm up and out of the shower and dressed to slippers. Load of laundry in the washer. I decided to 'treat' myself to high-rate electricity this morning rather than rushing through laundry tonight.
I've checked in for my flight and was assigned the best economy seat. Not sure what the catch is but I get a ton of legroom. I know there's no overhead bin and it is unclear if I get under the seat in front storage. If not, I'll have to check a bag, so I selected that option. I might check a bag anyway in order to make my life easier. I'm not in a rush at the other end (no one is waiting for me and paying parking - I'm just picking up a rental car) so it might be nice to be free of encumbrances in the airport and on the plane. Plus I want to bring my study bible and it is heavy so having to lug it and my laptop is enough, without adding in the weight of my suitcase. On the other hand... I could just photocopy the pages I need, there's probably only 30 of them. Or better yet, take pictures....
I'm going to have my breakfast now.

Re: Wednesday PWYC
Think I remember you talking about this DB before, Okay, now that you speak about it.
Got s2s, meds, breakfast, bed made, dishes done. Got a few more little things packed. Took all the pics off the fridge and have them packaged to pack in something. Don't want to just stick them in a bag because I'll never know where to look when I get there.
I'm trying very hard to list everything and jot down where this 'n that are so when dh calls me next spring and says, "where is?" -I might have a hint of an idea where to tell him to look. But then he's a man and probably "looks for" like a man.
In my 'druthers' I'd like to come back with him the beginning of April/end of March. BUT, since I know him, I doubt he'll let me do that. It's quite lonely here that month AND COLD! He can get away with the cold better than I can -he says!
Kathryn, ok, I've been wondering for a few days....where are you going? I most likely missed that little fact. You think?
Yi, yi, yi!, says I! I know mine probably needs re-doing, but I'm not too willing to go through that much pain for so long, not really knowing if there would be 'good' results. So until someone tells me with more confidence that "it will be better", I don't think I'm going there. It does send me south in the winter months, but I've lived with it this long.......still wants to rope competitively.

There you go! Amazing how much technology is available to us and we often 'forget' we could use it.I could just photocopy the pages I need, there's probably only 30 of them. Or better yet, take pictures....

Kathryn - is your study Bible not available electronically to put on your smart phone? The Bible app I use is free along with 4 of my preferred Bible versions. However, my MOST favorite bible study book (Dake's) isn't available on Smart phone so I might use your idea of taking pictures of it to have with me when needed.
(((Dee)))) you have such a wonderful attitude about ache & pains. I need to take lessons from you.
LO has an appt for 2pm this afternoon to get his immunization shots. OH ....I am so not looking forward to this!!! Reminding myself.....it will be over in less than 1 minute. But that one minute is going to be MOST UNPLEASANT!
