Good morning, villagers ~
I came fully awake shortly after 3 a.m. Tossed & turned for an hour and decided to get up rather than continue to risk waking DH.
Dishes are soaking and I have plenty of computer work to do until after DH leaves for work. I can have oatmeal for breakfast and skip the coffee until later.
Today's 5x5 in addition to 3 Ds:
* Bank deposit for library group
* Month-end accounting for library and sewing groups
* Email monthly financial reports to library group
* Declutter
* Declutter
Yesterday I finally finished the inventory of pantry/freezer/refrigerator. Obviously one of those cards that had been skipped for several months, and the chart shows an odd mix. Does anyone need some canned chicken broth? I appear to have a 2-year supply.

Happy Halloween, Villagers!
Up and d2s working on my coffee before I head out.
DS13 gets to man the door tonight for the Trick or Treaters since DS19 and I have to work.
Blessed - Can you truly have too much Chicken Broth? I use it in everything.
Have a Spooky day Villagers.

Good Morning!
Bookie - After a early start like that......we might tempt you to take a nap with us this afternoon.
Ooops! I just remembered.......I'm going to miss nap time today.
Today I'm taking DMom for an MRI. DSis is working out of town and DBro is going to big city for doc appt so neither one of them was available to stay with DDad. I asked DH if he would stay with DDad and he instantly agreed to do it. This is huge responsibility and I really appreciate DH for being willing. DDad has about 10-15 near death experiences each week that requires instant action by the person who is with him. We all know one of these times, DDad won't start breathing again.
AFter DMom's MRI is finished, I'll swing by and pick up DGS15 and bring him home with me. We are going to carve pumpkins at my house and then trick-n-treat the Great Grandparents houses (plus a few of LO mentors) Afterwards we will return to town and LO will go trick-n-treating with his big brothers and their 4 year old sister.
If I was queen for a day......I would make Halloween holiday always be on a Friday. Trying to fit all this in on a school night is insanity. PLUS the sugar high from candy. I feel sorry for all the teachers tomorrow.

No chicken broth kept here. I switched to using
Tone's chicken base and love it. I like being able to add it to dishes and being able to control the amount of liquid. I very much dislike bouillon cubes, but love this base. I buy it at Sam's for about $4 and it last forever (well....not forever, but a very long time).
Guess what? Yesterday was my 500th day in a row that I have consistently used digital SHE cards! During these last 500 days, it has been rare that I follow all my cards for the day. However, having the cards has kept me on track as best as they can and I am thankful to know they are always there to gently remind me what I'm suppose to be doing next.

Nap time is built into my day but only if I stick exactly to my plan.
Since I couldn't volunteer yesterday, I have to do it today so that takes 4 hours out of the middle of my day. And I have decorated yet. This year will obviously be simpler since I've only allowed 90 minutes to decorate. Dinner will be in the crock pot so 30 minutes spent this morning will free up more time later in the day.
On the treadmill now but will limit it to exactly 2 miles or 40 minutes. Clothes are laid out and bed is made so once I'm done exercising, s2s will happen quickly.

The girls are off to school. I'm sipping tea. I need to jump in the shower soon; I have a dentist appt. at 9 a.m. Other than that, my day is pretty open until dd17's friends arrive here at 4:30. They are putting together an ensemble of characters from the movie Up. Dd17 is Doug.
Our house rule is no trick-or-treating after middle school (I originally wanted it to be after elem. school, but the kids were getting invitations in middle school to go with friends), but these girls are in dd17's church small group, and one of them has never gone t-or-t-ing before. I'm not thrilled about this, but it will be good for dd17 to have fun with these friends.
PODA: I'm not sure I should make a list since I never seem to complete one. . . These are my main goals for the day.
1. laundry
2. dentist appt. at 9
3. finish retreat/devotional guide for moms group
4. exercise
This is the third night in a row dh will be out, for dinner this time, work-related.

Very quiet morning here - I am trying to avoid doing the things that need to be done today. Went back to sleep for awhile and in general am just being lazy.
Yesterday worked, then 6 p.m. frustrating meeting, followed by frustrating discussion, then dinner out with dh and friends, so it was a late evening. Walked the ddogs when I got home and went to bed.
[vent] The temple bulletin editor is frustrating me. When I got to temple yesterday the bulletin was printed and I sat down and looked through it. He buried two things that I thought were very important on the back page (one was an event in 10 days, the other a response to an issue that I wanted to be seen) and put some other stuff that wasn't important at the front. Also, items I specifically emailed him with last week weren't placed in the bulletin. He's a volunteer also and I know we're all fallible, but I'm just so frustrated that no one else seems to have "vision" for communication and promotion and I'm feelin' like I just can't depend on much of anyone. So there, trying to move on now. [/vent]
I am in full avoidance mode - going to get dressed and take ddogs for a walk. Maybe the sunshine will jump start me.

Excited for
Harriet today getting new hens. Hoping to see some pics. hint hint! I've moved some of the smaller squash off the steps some kids smash them so I'll be working on moving those today half about of them moved. To bad I can't think of some thing to do today for those dealing with the storm aftermath.
Weather is good here today. I'm adjusting to sharing the TV with hubby I think it might take a few weeks but we can adjust to change. H. is at work today.
I've fed the hens.
I need a plan for dinner.
I decided I'd rather have teens trick or treating than pulling pranks so allowed them to go door to door they got good treats and tips on the paper route they did and enjoyed it a lot!

Then later did things at the church when they had activies for them there.

[vent] I think my upset comes from people not following through on what they are supposed to do. I feel like I have a very few people that can be relied upon to do what they say they will do and that is very frustrating because I can't do it all myself. Goes back to the office secretary, who is supposed to be the "check" on the bulletin guy getting everything in it, and she's failed (again.) And he keeps me perpetually frustrated and has his finger in everything. I think I will write a confidential email to Admin VP (who is out of town and shares my frustration with him regarding other issues) and then try to move on. [/vent]
