Hoping for things to be 'great' here. Not a very good weekend. Not even sure I want to go out to the kitchen to get breakfast. But I have to -BS is 88 and have taken my meds so it'll only go lower. :( DD has gone to work and I'm sure she's very down. Nearly time to take gd to school. So have to run.
Begun is half done -SO! JUST BEGIN!!

I need to do a quick s2s in a minute as dr appt is at 8:30 back on the mountain. I'm currently writing personal notes on temple statements...up to Ls now.

Harriet - Thanks for opening up for us, how is HRH and your DDad doing?

Okay & Twins - Good Morning, Have a great day!

Dee - I hope things get better soon.

I am on DS13's Laptop right now because he needs mine for Word... he forgot to do his homework.

I am up and having my 1st cuppa, I need to get d2boots and get out the door in the next hour or so. I have to be in Williamsburg by 10:00 for an appt. I have to be in uniform for the appt, but need to take a change of clothes with me. When I get back into town I have to head over to DP/BFF's for our afternoon. On the way back from Williamsburg I need to call a gentleman back for a telephone interview.

Time to get going,

BBS

Good morning everyone!

I'm up and sipping my tea. The girls left a few minutes ago. They are really pushing it in terms of departure time. I think they are barely on time for 1st hour. Dd17 is comfortable with that, but I think dd14 would like to leave earlier. Dd17 is the driver, however. . .

Today: I need to go to the groc. store today, and I would like to exercise, probably in the gym. I have really fallen off that bandwagon; being sick last week did not help. I am bringing a meal to a dfriend from moms group (also in my moms group small group) who had her 1st baby a couple weeks ago. :) Dd14 will need chauffeuring to and from synchro practice, 5:30 - 7:30.

Cmas shopping: I'm at the point with Cmas shopping where I think I can go to various stores in town and find most of the remaining items I want. Well, there are some friends for whom I may need to order online; if I know a book I want to get, I order it from am a zon.com. Also, dh wants some tool that I need to order. He knows he needs to show me the catalog, but he hasn't done it yet. That gift won't be a surprise, but I have one gift for him already and will get another small one that will be a surprise. I have too many ideas for dd14, about the right number for ds, and very few for dd17. . . . . I would still like to get most of my packages in the mail by Friday. Packages (1, maybe 2) going to California should probably be in the mail earlier.

I may use this site to set goals and report back in an effort to stay on track.

9 a.m. - devotional time, s2s, kitchen reclaimed.

Helia - Have a great day!

Lynlee - Living only an hour away from Willamsburg makes it much less exciting, although we have had two "vacations" where we just did Williamsburg for a week.

DS13 is off to school and DS20 is up giggling at his computer (obviously watching something on Y ou T ube), I am d2socks (waiting to put on combat boots till ready to walk out the door) even put on a little make-up. Found my favorite jeans that I have been looking for, while I was looking for my uniform t-shirt, obviously one of the DS's must have hung them up.

With all this talk about Christmas shopping I am going to have to get busy tomorrow sewing Christmas gifts. The good news in that regards is that DS20 will be working the mid-shift (11-4) at least this week which will mean that I will have time during the day when both DS's are out of the house.

Need to get my poop in a group and get out of here, have a great day villagers, see ya'll tonight.

I'll be the slug of the day in the SHE village today!

Just out of bed. That's because I was into bed at 11:45 last night. Eating lunch at 2 and dinner at 8 makes everything shift late in your day.

We had snow overnight and are getting freezing rain. School buses are cancelled which means, out here, the kids are home from school (the schools are open but since 90% of the kids are buses there is no point sending a child to school because no learning takes place - in the city it is worthwhile to drive your kid to school since classes are as usual, which made it rough on dd when she was bused to a gifted school in the city.)

I need to leave here in just over 3 hours. I won't be running into the city before our singing today because of the driving. Tomorrow will be fine so it will be a day to scramble but there's no way around that.

I'm on the treadmill now. Today is a hair wash day too so it will be a while until I get to breakfast.

I'm going to study my undone cards and see how many I can work on between breakfast and leaving.

I think I'm going to have to go back to written out schedules because things are coming at me just too quickly these days.

More special hugs to ((Dee and dd)).

My ddad and I continue to argue about food, scattered. That's the story here. I've done enough years of eldercare with enough different people/personalities in my family that I know that the beginning of food arguments is a bad sign for health. And my ddad is exhibiting a lot of the other warning signs I know - "remembering" food that was never actually eaten, denying that his meals used to be larger, pretending he's had snacks that are obviously still there in the same quantity, etc. If his health testing was based on how determined and forceful he is about rationalization, he would be given a clean bill of health, for sure, because he will stand there and argue the point as long as you want, lol. HRH did remember a small banana he got ddad to eat while I was at church, which has made me feel a little better, and HRH felt breakfastime was more normal than I did, but the rest of the day was spartan.

helia, you have flower borders of perennials, which is something I've never done, so I yield to your knowledge of when to tend them. They sound like a lovely mix, by the way. I was just fondly remembering summer deadheading of annuals. The zinnias were always tough-stemmed, and I never knew exactly what was the best way to handle petunias, but marigolds would be so straightforward and fun. Pop, pop, pop! If I were to try a perennial border/garden I would want delphinium and hollyhock, to mimic the tall gardens painted by sisters Florence and Margaret Hoopes in the 1930s for the Alice and Jerry books! So beautiful.
