SATURDAY SWISH

Think it's our bath that will get thay swish (a very small one) today. Not planning to do much -I think I'm exhausted. Got up shortly after 7 but could barely maneuver. Realized my BS was too low and quietly got a bowl of cereal.
All our family was here yesterday and I think it wore me out more than I thought. Looked at my pedometer for yesterday and thought I was looking at it wrong -almost 15,000 steps. That's a whole bunch lot for me! But the joy of enjoying dgs6months far out did the tiredness.
Dh has gone to breakfast with men from our church (1 Sat a month). Doesn't sound like we're going to church tomorrow. Hate to miss. DD made plans to take the makings for waffles and is making bacon here to DS-A's family at their hotel in Kissimmee. Then dd has a seminar for the school board at Disney. We may drive separately so we can come back when we get tired. Guess gd will stay with DS's family and go swimming, etc. Then dd and gd plan to go with them to E pcot on Monday (no school for MLK Day). Think DS wants us to meet them at Disney one other day. I'll sleep for a week!
Think I hear gd up -or at least someone is. Know I heard her go in her bathroom a while ago. Guess I should go see if it's dd and start my day -but I donwanna!

Good Morning!
I am having so much fun decorating the house for January. I know the month is 1/2 over but my creative juices are flowing as I find something else to decorate. Because the decoration will only stay up until the end of the month I am trying to keep it simple to put up/take down but with a big impact. A couple days ago I found some material that matched the January theme. I bought 2 yards without knowing what I was going to do with it. This morning I carried it around and tested it here and there. I have settle on making a large runner for the sides/top of refrigerator and curtain topper for Kitchen window.
There is probably a thread to discuss this type of thing. I don't venture very far from PWYC except for H&F. I need to broaden my horizons.
After the morning rush I will try to come back and do a cut/paste to the correct forum subject area.
Last night we ate at LO's school to support class raising funds. Then we went to some VDFriends home to join in the FNG activities. It was past midnight before DH arrived home from finishing MPB PM chores. LO is sleeping in this morning. I'm thankful he can sleep until he wakes up on his own.
This is his only day that he can do that.
Next up - CFO duties. Need to do MPB gross receipts. When the bank opens I need to call and tell them they put an $8100 deposit in our checking account that doesn't belong to us.

Dee: 15,000 steps is a lot. I got to 13K once, I think, since I started wearing the pedometer in September, but most days are 6 - 8K and that includes a 2 mile walk on the treadmill.
OKay inside the house I have the winter decorations but the wreath on the door never got made up so the door is bare. I usually do something wintery for Jan, hearts for Feb, Irish for March and butterflies for April, although with Easter in March this year, I might skip the Irish theme. Although, here it seems weird to put a nest with an egg, flowers, and butterflies out in March when the ground is still frozen solid and probably covered with snow.
I'm up and at it but not doing well. Forgot to check my heart rate in the first 5 minutes of the treadmill and at the 18 minute mark found out that I've been cruising along below the exertion required to get results. Sigh... If I get it up in the first 5 minutes by walking with weights and pushing the incline, it will stay up for the rest of the time. If I forget, even though I'm going the same speed and incline, it takes 20 or more minutes to get there on its own.

Yes, I know, Kathryn. 15,000 is a way lot for me too. Usually it's more like 4,000-7,000 at the most. Once in a while it's 10,000 or a little more. And dh wonders WHY I'm tired. Plus there was activity and confusion most of the day. Nuff said -I'm just plain tired.
Dh is back and is a little miffed at me because I responded pretty negatively when he said I shouldn't be tired. Oh well, this too shall pass.
DD is up but very quiet and gd is stil in bed. Though I did hear her up earlier to go to the bathroom. She's probably tired too. Glad we have a 'day off'. That being said I better get busy.

Good Morning!!! YAY!! Its the weekend, and I didnt have to work last night!! What a differnce I feel come Saturday morning now. Much more energy and motivation to get things moving here. I am going to try and pace myself so I dont poop out to early. Yeah, like that really works for me. But hey, a girl can try right?
Dee....15,000? Holy Moley! I wouldnt blame ya bit if you just rested today and vegged out.
Ok..... Will you come decorate my house for the seasons?
Kathryn...I hope your day gets better. BUT, you are on the treadmill so early in the day, so oyur're doing better than me, lol.
I have so many things/thought swirling around my head that I want to get done today, I dont know where to start. This house took a beating this week. Everyone was working many hours and coming and going at weird times. I have a three day FULL weekend, so hopefully I can get it squared away.
OH!! Remember I asked a couple of weeks ago for good thoughts for Dh, as he was having an interview for a new job? Wellllllll, so far so good!!! Thursday night, they called and made him a verbal offer that was SOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOD!!! He accepted of course. He is now waiting for the written offer he has to sign and then a backround check. Then he will have a NEW JOB, one that he is really excited about and one that pays realllllly good. I am so happy for him to see him getting happy again with his career. And the income increase ( which is nothing to sneeze at) will make sooooo much difference here. What a relief!!! God is GOOOOOOOOOD!
Just heard Dd get into the shower, so I am assuming she is heading into work. Probably working a double so I wont see her again til morning. She broke out with shingles too this week. She has been fighting a cold, so I am sure that her immune system was too weak to fight off the outbreak. Dh is still sleeping. I hope he is enjoying it, cuz THATS going to end soon, lol.
Moving right along.......

Dee....15,000? Holy Moley! I wouldnt blame ya bit if you just rested today and vegged out.
And that's pretty much what I'm doing INE! Have puttered some. Had to get up because I could feel my BS plunging and hardly had the energy to do that and get breakfast into me. I have already done nearly 2,000 steps and that's just puttering. Dh did ask if we were going to W mart, but I said not till much later today. It's always a Z O O! on Saturdays. Need to rest up for another family day tomorrow.
I made meatballs and sausage for sauce yesterday and was going to make it to go with the ribs last night. However, we had plenty without it. Was going to start it this morning, but we decided we have enough leftovers for tonight without going to that extent. So will freeze the meat -it's all done. Put everything for the homemade sauce in a carton and will throw it in the crockpot probably about Tuesday. May even do it Monday as it's always better the next day.
Think I'll go try to doze for a few. Think dd is doing up the few breakfast dishes. She and ddil did everything last night while Dsisil and I entertained dgs6months (or was it the other way around?

)

I woke-up to a very cold house, we obviously ran out of kerosene in the night. I got up and had to fight DS20 to get him to go get more. I have homework to do so I had better get moving.
I wanted to take a shower but I am going to wait til the house warms up.

Sharing a virtual warm blanket with Scattered. Brrrrr!
INE - Sure! Decorating my home with something different each month is new to me. I'm in process of sitting up a monthly plastic tub to organize everything in. Next year it should be easier
(at least that is what I tell myself)
I'm tinkering with the idea of including monthly clothing articles in my evolving monthly storage system. I remember learning about capsule clothing system and have thought that was something I want to do "one day". Although this wouldn't be the same as the capsule clothing system, it would use some aspects of it. There are articles of clothing that I only wear during some times of the year (I'm wearing wool, flannel & fleece this month). Not sure how this will work, but I think I will try doing it. I like the idea of pulling out a tub next year and finding "new clothes" to wear for a few weeks.
I had some pineapple that needed to be used.....so I went to the kitchen to make something to use it up. Somehow I still have pineapple to be used, but I did make -
** macroni and cheese from scratch
** biscuits from scratch
Only someone who is a expert sidetracker such as I, could understand how this happens.
