thanks for the start today scattered. great quote.
tonight next for me is bedtime prep. Dishes are washed. - there was just a few today. I could have easilly left them, but leaving them has turned problematic in the past.
Decided on another pair of pants to join the out heap today. I cannot be bothered to fix the waist to fit me. Too baggy besides - though maybe interesting to compare with shorts I am wearing now to take a pattern from them. A bit baggy is good at yoga. I need a comparison I think. though it could also be their falling down a bit nature.
edit to add
Twins the tv remote has evaporated from my hand ??? I have no idea. A search and no easy turn-up. Even checked the outdoor bin as I'd put an offering in there.

Ugh I have been so busy lately that I am now just exhausted. I cannot wait for Sunday, I plan to RELAX.
I have yet another busy day of patient visits in front of me today, in fact I need to leave 15 minutes early to see my first patient. Tonight I need to do homework.
I got up 15 minutes early and although tired I feel a small sense of accomplishment since I am half way through my SDR. Time to finish this post and get my poop in a group.

I'm up and s2s and sipping coffee. That's about all I can say for today.
Went to Legoland for about an hour or so last night to see DD, her co-teacher and crew. They were displaying their mini cup race car. F ord was sponsoring a day there for several schools. Evidently Legoland is closed a couple of days a week -glad ds didn't try to go there a week ago. This car is quite a wonder for their school. The technical class builds it and it's actually raceable. Looks pretty sharp. DD and her co-teacher will be presenting a class during Speed Weeks at Daytona on this car.
Slept quite poorly last night. And I was just beginning to feel human again.
Dsonil came through his procedure quite well yesterday. They had originally planned to give him the injections in 2 or 4 spots along his spine. Ended up finding more areas and did 10. Hopefully this will gain him some mobility. This has the potential of becoming a huge ball of wax. If you'll remember his regular physician decided (based on what is a question?) there was nothing wrong with him. He lost his job because of it and a lot because of all the delays in care. The neuro surgeon is not at all happy with the dr's ethics in all this.
See it's 58 up home today. Big swing from last week!
Have to get on the road with gd. BBLBegun is half done -SO! JUST BEGIN!!

I donwanna! I donwanna work today!
Going to get in shower now. DDogs are walked - at least as much of walk as they are getting. I put recycling out and have done most of a.m. routine except to get ready for work.
I took a benydryl at bedtime last night to help sleep, and slept well until 3 or 3:30 when (not)dMacs woke me up to refill his water bowl. After that I was achy, didn't sleep well and got up with a "crick" in my neck.

Thanks for the great quote to start us today, scattered. I surely get stuck on the doing it part, sometimes. Sometimes, though, I get stuck on knowing what to do! Have a good day at work.
The car sounds very neat, Dee. I hope the procedure helps dsil.
WTG getting the dishes done before bed, Lynlee. Hope you find your remote.
((Twins)) Hopefully once you get there work will be good. Is it still dark where you are? I'm just thinking of your having walked the dogs already. It is just getting light up here, though it also is a cloudy day.
Apparently, Detroit has hit 60* today already, at least that is what the web site calendar temp says. Maybe that is a mistake. Temps will drop tonight by about 30 - 35 degrees. But in the meantime, we will have another rainy balmy January day. . . I'd sure like to see the sun, though.
I am up, have let the dog out, let the dog in, and am finishing my cup of tea.
I am not going to WW today; I had considered going today b/c I can't go on Friday due to teaching team meeting. I know my weight is up. Then, I ate 2 cake pops and a strawberry custard tart last night. That is the problem with having girls that like to bake. As the mom, I need to encourage them by sampling their handiwork.
I should have more time at home today, which I am looking forward to. I'm off to get the a.m. routine fully done, maybe actually by 10 a.m. today.

I'm up and investigating Roman Shades. Has anyone here ever made any? I sewed some years ago for the church camp but after someone else had measured and designed them - I just sewed straight seams. I'm sure I can do it - but do I want to?
The windows look so great with nothing - but when the sun shines in - I know I need something and don't want to put the mini blinds back up.
Need to measure windows and put measurements in my phone to keep with me. I think what I really would like are shutters - but not nice pretty ones - I want the kind with 3 coats of paint with some flaking off - ya know what I mean? Saw some at Q but didn't have measurements and that is 100 miles away. Might go back.
Contractor is coming to install appliances today. Kitchen is painted except for wall that he has to finish window. Looks great!
Time to hit the shower. Need to wash floor under where appliances are going so I don't have to pull them out to do later.

I'm up.
Didn't do treadmill again but did do my floor exercises. So far my knee has been behaving completely, which is a relief (both pain and worry.) The hike on Saturday really did a number on it. Sigh...
Got ds off to the dentist on time. He had to be woken up, having slept through his first alarm. I got him up 5 minutes before the second alarm.
My wisdom and virtue for today is about lunch (and dinner.) Dinner is made, it will be Shepherd's Pie. Dh is going into the city for a business lunch today right next to IKEA. I'm coming in with him because I have to pick up some stuff from Presbytery (not enough work to volunteer, but I can pick up things) so I was planning to take a lunch and eat it there. Then I realized I could go to IKEA so easily. Hmmmm. The wise move is to not go, because I don't have the room in my diet to do so. The virtuous move is to follow through with my original plans. Which I will.
Today is warm weather here, not 60 like Detroit, but over 50. And the freezing rain fell overnight so is almost all melted now.
Next challenge is to put on my dress boots because my legs are cold (I'm in a skirt today because of volunteering) and then I'll crush the cans going into the recycle bin.

Emptynester, sorry, but I've never made Roman Shades. If I'm not mistaken, McCalls and perhaps Simplicity have had patterns for this. I remember seeing them as I was searching for other home decor patterns.
Dee, does this mean that dsonil is given some credibility now, and that there is proof that he's been right about his back? I'll be sure to tell dd about the car events.
Got home from the school run to find HRH frustrated. He was hearing loud noises while I was gone and was searching the house. Turned out Tobias had gone into dd's room without being seen and she'd shut the door as she left, lol. Tobias used to be able to turn her doorknob, back when he was half-grown, but it required being on top of furniture, jumping, and riding the knob around. Now he weighs too much to hang on
so he just makes a lot of noise.
I've gotten the school run done, Morning Daily Card complete, my ddad's morning started, an omelet breakfast into my own tummy while watching half of the recorded Mon night episode of Hoarders. HRH did outdoor chores before he left because it was so pleasant outside there was no reason to wait. That ends midday with a lot of wind. By the time dd's family gets here, we'll be headed back into winter.

MT, there are a ton of tutorials on the internet for making Roman shades - just google.
